Samsung CLP 300 - not worth buying
Advantages: Small laser printer
Disadvantages: Unreliable
...I always had and ink jet printer. But at work I used laser printers and I loved them. Unfortunately they have been far too big for home use. I am not sure why but I always have been convinced that a laser printer is somehow better- the speed, the quality, just everything. How wrong I was!!!
A couple of months ago I saw the Samsung CLP-300 on a website and it looked brilliant. Well, everything looks brilliant if someone wants to sell it. Anyhow, for me it looked good enough. But I did not want to pay £150 for a new printer. So, I had a look in ebay. And there it was my Samsung CLP-300 for £100. Well, I bid on and got it for £112 in the end.
The CLP-300 claims to be the world's smallest and lightest colour laser printer. Well, at least at that time. It?s measurements are 390 x 344 x 265 mm, which is pretty small for a laser...

laser printer
Advantages: laser printer
Disadvantages: bit dark on photos
...…………………………̷ 0;….................................................................. .................
Using a laser printer instead of a normal standard injet printer is great, there a lot faster than normal inkjet printers, there a lot more reliable and can carry on printing for ages without you worrying whether the things going to blow up or over heat or not.
But most importantly of all, they have such better print quality, the ink stands out amongst the page which is what gives you that shiny ink and picture pages and it makes documents and pictures not only look great quality, but very professional too.
This is why companies use them, so that their printed documents look a lot more professional, however all this does come at a price. These are known as office...

Colour That Doesnt Run
Advantages: Good Price, Small Package
Disadvantages: Small paper tray and no manual feed
...I have had a colour ink jet printer for years, and this has serviced me well, however I always used to get annoyed with the smudging that can occur whilst the ink is drying. Also when using a printed envelope the address would run if it was raining when the postman was delivering or on the way to the post box.
I had always wanted a colour laser printer but they had always been put off by the price of the printers and the ongoing cost of consumables. However I was in my local PC World one weekend and spotted the Samsung CLP-300 for what I considered a reasonable price £150, so I picked one up.
-----------The Specification-----------
The CLP-300 claims to be the world's smallest and lightest colour laser printer! I am not sure if this claim is correct but the printer does come in a small package measuring in at 390 x 344 x 265...

Samsung CLX2160 colour laser printer
Advantages: easy to use, low cost, cheap to run.
Disadvantages: none
...After purchasing a Samsung ML-1610 black laser printer for £50 a couple of years ago, we decided that as soon as the colour laser printers came down in price, we would get one of those.
We also wanted a multi-function printer, to replace the multi-function inkjet printer that we had. If it could have a fax as well, then all well and good.
After keeping an eye on prices for a while, I was searching one day and came across the Samsung CLX-2160 multi-function colour laser printer.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Well, it is a copier, printer, scanner. It prints in black and colour. It prints up to 16 pages per minute in black and up to 4 ppm in colour.
The copying peed is up to 16 ppm in black and up to 4 ppm in colour.
Described as "The world's smallest color multifunctional printer". It is ideal for small office or home office use...

I say yes
Advantages: Speed, cost and quality
Disadvantages: Nothing I can think off at the moment
...This is a great printer. Beware that there are two types: The CLP 300 and the CLP 300N. The 300N is for networking. This means you can print to this printer from more than one PC if you have more than one PC in your house or office. For home use it is a waste of money because I do not print that often to justify networking.
The quality is great and really amazing and the speed is mind blowing. If you need REAL photo quality printing, this is not for you because on closer inspection you will notice defects - Especially if you are a photo printing connoisseur. There is only one button - The on-off button, nothing else! Easy to use for the "not so computer literate", but could be disappointing for those who likes to tinker a bit.
I also own an inkjet photo printer which is great when it comes to quality. The advantage of the laser...

Pleasantly Surprised
Advantages: Price, Simple change of toners
Disadvantages: Relatively slow print speeds, Toner costs
...Normally I am not the greatest Samsung fan after my little episode with its <a href="http://www.ciao.co.uk/SamsungP10XTD1600FingerprintReview5680459">P10 laptop</a>, but here is my story for this.
Being a graphic design student, I needed a printer that would print out designs on just about any sort of paper quickly and beautifully. I'm glad that CLP-300 didn't disappoint me...not yet anyway.
Being the world's smallest colour laser printer, and winning the reddot design award in 2006, I really had hoped for something not to disappoint.
Initially, it was definitely the price that caught my attention to this printer; as cheap as around £130 or so and you can already get CLP-300, this machine looks very simple and built from ground to make this printer so low-cost. Not to mention other attractions such as OSX-compatibility (woohoo...

Samsung ML-1520 Monochrome Laser Printer
Advantages: Fast printing and easy set-up.
Disadvantages: Quality suffers when large quantity is printed at once.
...I bought this printer mainly because of it's low cost but also because I liked very much it's predecessor, the ML-1510, which my girlfriend owns. It's cheap and very easy to set up.
If anyone owns a ML-1510 and thinking of upgrading to the ML-1520, I don't think there's much point. They are pretty much identical in terms of its functionality, but the ML-1520 is more square-ish and is the standard grey colour (more 'manly' if you like). Personally I like the ML-1510 better in terms of looks and is slightly smaller and lighter.
The pros. The quality of print (especially if printing text only) is superb, even on the starter toner that's supplied with the printer. I have not printed any photos so I can't really comment on that but I have tried printing road maps from the internet. Again the quality is great and I can clearly nake out...

Samsung Surprisingly make Quality Laser Printers
Advantages: Small, Very Fast, Very cheap
Disadvantages: Quite an old model
...Samsung are not well recognised to produce quality user-friendly laser printers due to their lack of ... promotions and advertisements of their products. (Quite modest of them)
A laser printer that has gone well past its sell-by date, Samsung ML4500, an old Samsung model which has gone unnoticed... But as they say 'Old is Gold'.
People have already started noticing some of the common faults and defects of modern day-to-day produced products. Believe you me, some of these products are upgraded from previous models, but overall, the olden models seem to always last longer and work better.
Here I'm taking the Samsung ML4500, as an example, which I have owned for 4 years and still works good as new. I bought mine from Dixons for £100 which I think is very good for a laser.
What is exceptionally outstanding about this printer in...

Top Notch Laser Printer for the Office
Advantages: Fast, Robust, HP Customer Support, High page yield, Serviceable
Disadvantages: Expensive official toners, Could be a bit more user friendly
...The HP LaserJet P3005N is an A4 black and white laser printer meant for office use. The company I work for had decided to standardise all printers to cut costs on toners and so they didn?t need to buy so many different toners. The main printer in use was the HP LaserJet 2420N but this was discontinued and superseded by the HP LaserJet P3005 printers so I decided on this one. The P3005 printers come in several flavours. There?s the P3005 (no network), P3005N (with network) and P3005DN (duplex, with parallel connection and network). All of them have a USB connection. The P3005N costs £436.98 at Dabs.com, with the DN version costing slightly more and I replaced four printers with P3005N?s across several sites.
The printer has two paper trays. The main tray can hold 600 sheets of paper, which is one ream of 500 sheets of paper...

laser vs inkjet, i think laser wins.
Advantages: better quality print, faster.
Disadvantages: not great at printing photos
...Using a laser printer instead of a normal standard injet printer is great, there a lot faster than normal inkjet printers, there a lot more reliable and can carry on printing for ages without you worrying whether the things going to blow up or over heat or not.
These are known as office printer for a reason, they tend to be too big and clumpy for a home printer, and also there a lot dearer and it was very hard to buy one cheaper than about £300 till...
