Samsung CLP 510 a good robust machine

Advantages: automatic double sided printing, cheap colour laser printer
Disadvantages: very heavy, toner expensive

...I was told not to use a colour laser printer under a £1000 for high quality colour prints. So my expectation was not high. Why did I buy it? I print a residents newsletter once a quarter about 6 sides and 450 -500 copies, besides personal printing items. Being a laser I am worry about the right type of paper for printing so I have not yet a year in used it for glossy photo paper. I was able to print card but had to feed in using the manual feeder as I wanted to double side it. I have been amazed at the speed I can print the newsletters even with two or three photos included. and the print quality is very good. As with all printers I have learned not to trust toner empty messages, provided I watch it print at that point at least 500 pages can be printed - that is a saving. Don't Buy This Printer!!

Advantages: A very cheep machine
Disadvantages: A terrable printer all round.

...I've had my CLP 510 from Samsung for just on 12 months so I feel I have gotten to know it quite well...in this time, I've only printed a total of 13,576 pages - thats the TOTAL from 12 months of use, NOT per month - this is very light use. I mainly use it for printing text with graphics included on the same page...not photos, just drawings etc. I'll start by saying that the prints per min quoted by samsung in a joke (most manufactures quoted specs relating to this probably are). The output quality is average for a 1200 x 1200 dpi machine. Text is fine, but the colour graphics output is not good at all. (I've previously used a 1200 x 1200 Kyocera machine which had exelent output for graphics). Trying to colour match / calabrate this machine is also hopless - I even use a moniter spyder etc to get my colours right. I basicly had to...

Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.

SAMSUNG ML 1610 - NICE LITTLE PRINTER

Advantages: neat, small, fast
Disadvantages: doesn't have an integral paper tray

...We have been after a small mono laser printer for a while and once we had bought the laptop computer we wanted a printer that was a bit more portable and easy to use. My husband is a self-employed courier and he prints his invoices out each week and we also need to print out his accounts and vat returns each quarter. Also we print flyers and needed a laser printer because of ink smudging on the ink-jet. We settled on the Samsung ML1610 mainly because of its cost. I did a google search and this came up as a cheap but good model. Advantages: Good battery life, nice screen, near enough a full size keyboard

...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. In fact the main idea was to have a first hand experience of Samsung range of cameras and I thought it prudent to try the cheapest possible available in Samsung array of cameras.
