...I bought this camera in ASDA at the incredible price of £75 in a gorgeous chrome silver colour (pictured). I am probably one of the most indecisive shoppers around, so when it came to buying a digital camera, I was thoroughly confused by the choice and newly released technology, meaning every week a new camera with more mega pixels and better zoom and a toaster built in was released! Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen
Disadvantages: No dvd drive but this is to save on weight and you can pick up an external one for reasonable

...Having previously had a laptop my wife recently decided to buy a new computer for herself as she felt she was not taking her laptop with her due to size and weight and so decided to opt to pick up the Samsung NC10 netbook. So you may have noticed that this is a netbook and be wondering what this exactly means...a netbook is a smaller, lighter weight laptop that is simply designed to handle internet browsing, e-mail and office software. Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...button under touchpad - Resolution could be higher VERDICT Overall, I think the Samsung NC10 is an excellent laptop. I like the look of it, the performance, the keyboard, the connectivity options and even the battery life. I would prefer for it to have Draft N wireless and maybe for it to be a bit lighter but those are minor niggles. One thing I would have liked is a higher resolution, even if the 1024 x 600 is perfectly usable, a higher one would give more flexibility in how well certain content is displayed on the laptop. i.e. movies, graphics, etc. Those things aside, I would highly recommend the NC10 or even the newer Samsung netbook models that supercede the NC10 (i.e. NC20). Buy an external DVD drive and you can even use it as a normal laptop as the performance is very good for the price. Thanks for reading!...

Samsung hits the netbook world for 6

Advantages: sturdy, reliable, quite nippy for a netbook, relativley cheap
Disadvantages: sound, no ssd option, still can't beat the aspire one

...10 is very slightly nippier than some other netbooks such as the msi wind. The screen is also the standard 10.2" 1024x600 too, but it is a very good quality screen, and puts most other netbooks to shame. The deciding factor in the netbook market is the quality of the netbook, and the samsung comes with quality to the hilt. The solid build of the netbook combined with it's spacious (by netbook standards) keyboard helps to make using such small devices less of a pain, and everything just feels right with it. the ports and connectivity are good too, with 3 USB ports, a VGA out port (for hooking up to an external monitor) and a 10/100 ethernet port.vBattery life is pretty standard, generally speaking the netbook will last 3-4 hours before dying. overall there isn't much to criticise this netbook for, sure it could come with a SSD drive...

SAMSUNG NP-NC10 Blue Netbook 1.6ghz Atom Processor

Advantages: Robust, Large Keyboard, Large Screen, Good Support.
Disadvantages: 1 Memory Slot, No Mobile Broadband Sim Slot, Specific keyboard key in unusual place.

.... The whole feel and solidity of this netbook, as well as the large keyboard and screen helped to sell this to me. The manual is in electronic form but the netbook comes with all the DVD's necessary to perform a re-installation if you completely mess up. A small portion of the hard drive is reserved for the restore partition as well, so you don't ever need the discs unless of course you upgrade the hard drive or play around partitioning. On initial boot the Samsung software kicks in and asks you to perform a backup of your current system and offers to partition your hard drive for you. I chose the advanced options and allocated all the hard disk as one partition instead of reducing the size for the backup. I did this because I had a USB memory stick and that is where my backup data will reside. I would rather keep maximum space for all my files...

Drive Special Edition DVD

Advantages: Mark Dacascos, great action scenes
Disadvantages: Virtually unheard of

...I am a great fan of martial arts films and this is a wonderful offering from Hollywood. A great director (Steve Wang) helps the action move along swiftly and there is actually a pretty decent plot. Toby Wang (Mark Dacascos) heads for the states to escape the evil Red Chinese and sell the bionic implant he has in his chest to an American technology company. Along the way he kidnaps Malik (Kadeem Hardison) and the two of them head for LA. Their journey ends in a nightclub where the big showdown between Toby and the "improved model" takes place. There are some big explosions (they sound great if you have Dolby Pro Logic surround sound) and the fight scenes are breathtaking. ...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. ...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. I would recommend it. It's a great little device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good.
