...I have recently purchased this exact model for my home, and what can I say. I have had a few LCD Tvs in the past, but this is hands down the best I have ever purchased. Samsung are by far the best retailers in most electronics, and there new LE 40 R LCD Tv model is no exception. I was in two minds whether to go for this Tv, or another popular brand, after much deliberation I decided to go with the Samsung, and I am exstatic that I did. The picture quality on this Tv is phenomenal. Vibrant colours, no displacement of pixels, and more importantly, no fuzziness which some LCD Tvs can give. The sound quality of this product is again unbelievable. With choices of various sound settings, there is eomthing for everyone when it comes to sound. With added option of being either wall mounted, or situated on a stand, this Tv is extremely versatile... Read review

...I have to say, when I first walked in to purchase a television, I was "made" to purchase an LCD, thinking that this was the future. However when I managed to take it home with me I realised otherwise. As a piece of furniture it looks fantastic and blends in with the rest of the modern looking room very well. However, I also own a two year old PIONEER Plasma and I have to admit that the quality of the picture and sound is far better than the LCD. Comparig the two, the difference is obvious. The Plasma being 2 years old had a better picture and a brighter screen. It is not obviously as good looking as the Samsung, but performs much better. I also noticed that when i turned up the Samsung the speaker began to shatter and produced a high treble noise which was extremely annoying, making me resort to the home cinema. Anyways, in order... ...of guys from Samsung looked at the label at the back, shook their heads and left, never to return. When I took the back off and had a look, the bottom of the left tube had come apart so the set fizzed and then cut out as soon as coming on. Very disappointed at Samsungs lack of back up and expertise as I have several products from them including an 8mm video camera, mobile phone , cinema system and a VCR, what is next to be "thrown away I wonder? After nearly a year the final entry in the Samsung Spain sarga log was made last week, (March 15th 2008) After a month of delay due to lack of transport, Samsung replaced the duff TV with a 46" LCD free of charge as they, nor anyone else, could repair the SP 47 W3HFX and it was finally collected and scrapped yeasterday, huge delay as the local agent had 't got a van large enough to transport... Advantages: Cheap, Compact, Black gives a better picture

...The Samsung LE 10 R 71B (whatever that jargon means) is a nice compact tv that would do justice in any small room, and 19in is just about right so that you wont be straining your eyes to make out a picture. Firstly the price being around £250 for a 19" HD ready lcd tv is extremely good; and secondly the fact it is being samsung means that its coming from one of the top brands of electronic suppliers. And a useful fact for you that samsung supplies over 70% of the parts that other companies use so you know your going to be getting quality by buying a samsung. Personally Samsung is my preferred brand on any electrical item with the exception of possibly pc's and mp3 players! The remote is again with most cheapish tv's, well made, but nothing special. ...This Samsung 1080p DVD player is the perfect companion for any of the latest Samsung LCD and Plasma TV's. We currently own the Q96 Plasma model and the F1080 fits just under the TV, it is smaller than the stand on the TV. But it has all of the features of the chunkier 1080p dvd players. Another plus to Samsung customers is that it has the Anynet+ function, meaning you can use the tv remote to control the DVD player. This is suggested as the remote control that you get supplied with the DVD is too small and useless in my view. There are a few firmware faults with this model, for example it sometimes won't play a DVD on initial startup and you have to restart the player as it just blue screens. ...I purchased an Xbox 360 on launch day and duly set it up on my standard definition TV, although the graphics were impressive in the back of my mind I knew there was more on offer. This bothered me for about a week, until I ordered the new TV. I researched the connectivity of all the 26" LCD's and found that the comparable Philips model didn't have component inputs which the 360 needs to display in high definition. This means that you need to purchase an additional cable to go from the Xbox to the Philips TV, so beware if your in the same boat. Luckily the Samsung 26" does have the required component inputs which is ultimately why I chose it. The TV itself is well made and the design is also quite refreshing. ...It has taken me some time to move up to a HD LCD TV, and did a considerable amount of research on the subject. The one thing that sold me on the Polaroid was seeing it side by side with a 26" Samsung LCD in Currys. I made the sales person show me the same picture on both displays from a variety of sources, HD DVD, Digital TV and Analogue TV. I was really hard pushed to tell any difference, and the only thing I liked about the samsung was the frame, which hardly justified spending an extra £200... All in all, it has a great selection of inputs, an easy to use remote, fantastic picture quality (I have Sky+ plugged into it via scart, a games console, DVD player and Media Centre PC) and its not a bad looking piece of furniture. ...The travel that I went made me to see this in the sense that I have been with the television for about 2 weeks. Now the television comes in a black polished colour and at the same time slim. The LCD television has some many techies. Well I am contemplating strongly on buying the LCD television but what holds me back is the price. The LCD comes with many features but among all, the most accepted feature is the electronic program guide and this feature helps you the programmer to be accurate and also gives guideline on how to go about the program. I have to comment again about the price, the price is of good value for money. But although it has high value for money, the features are a bit limited. ...After comparing the Samsung SCL700 with various other models in its category (Hi8, no USB interface) it won hands down. I was looking for something not too pricey but with an LCD screen and a quality zoom. The SCL700 provided this and more. What you get The camcorder comes with an AC power adaptor, a battery pack, an audio/video cable to connect to your TV + a hand and shoulder strap. There are a few more extras but only if purchasing the higher models such as the Samsung SCL770. Features You have the choice of using the black and white viewfinder or the LCD screen (2.5").
