Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...After my white Asus Eee PC 1000H got stolen, I decided to replace it with a black Samsung NC10. The Asus and this Samsung are what is known as a netbook. It?s sort of a small, low cost laptop to let you surf the net, while you?re out and about. I bought it off Dixons.co.uk for £322 in December 2009 (had a 5% off coupon) but it?s going for around £310 at the moment in most places. CHOICES The NC10 is Samsung's first stab at the netbook market and they?ve done a blinding job of it. I believe it even won an award for it. Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen
Disadvantages: No dvd drive but this is to save on weight and you can pick up an external one for reasonable

...Having previously had a laptop my wife recently decided to buy a new computer for herself as she felt she was not taking her laptop with her due to size and weight and so decided to opt to pick up the Samsung NC10 netbook. So you may have noticed that this is a netbook and be wondering what this exactly means...a netbook is a smaller, lighter weight laptop that is simply designed to handle internet browsing, e-mail and office software. The question I was asked by my wife before she picked this little gadget up was would this be able to play games? The answer is yes but of a limited variety as this is not designed with the same level of specs in as a normal pc or laptop (you would also need to purchase a cd or dvd drive for if you are looking at playing games that use a cd). Excellent Purchase! Would Buy again

...Well, im not one for buying things not needed, for the last 10 years ive had the same 14" tv, and to be honest it suited me just fine. only issue is, is that recently ive invested in a nintendo wii and a PS3, and really wanted to get my values worth with the consoles, because as you all know neither are very cheap (although they are both gradually lowering in prices) but that was still not good enough reason for me to throw out a perfectly functional TV that has treated me well over the years...that is until i got a new job, and had more than i needed to spend paid to me after some overtime to impress the new bosses. now when seeking out a new tv, you have got to try and stick to these rules: 1) contrast ratio, this is in basic terms how many steps to black a tv takes, with the samsung lcd tv it takes 60,000 steps to black...

Advantages: Great Look, 1080p, 3 HDMI Inputs
Disadvantages: No built in Freeview, but that's no real disadvantage.

...This TV wasn't my first choice when buying a TV. In fact, I actually bought a Sony KDL40V3000 but after a few days it got a fault where a 4" line of white pixels appeared on the right hand side of the screen. I took the TV back to Currys where I purchased it and as they had no others in stock I was given the option of selecting another TV. I opted for the Samsung LE40A556 and I'm so glad I did. This TV is such an improvement on the Sony. Starting with the look, it comes in the Black Gloss look which to be honest is stunning. Another thing I noticed was the weight of the Samsung. It's so much lighter than the Sony. The picture quality is definitely a step up from the Sony and it's still a 1080p screen. Other benefits include: 3 HDMI Sockets, more audio & display options. ...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. Buying a full size (15.4") laptop seemed a bit pointlesss as i have two tower pc's which are my main machines, so this was just to be about casual surfing/ reading emails/ browsing while on the move. ...I bought my samsung 6 months ago around the time it was released. It was a very good investment. I was primarily looking for a High-Definition TV to play Xbox 360 games on. I chose Samsung as the xbox 360 was designed using Samsung TV's and all the demo pods use them. So I thought, this must be good for games and it was, there is even a game mode, which when you press a button adjusts the screen to suit gaming. Picture: The Samsung is fully HD ready so you can start watching HD content straight out of the box, no extra things to buy. The picture quality is superb, in my opinion, especially when watching DVD's, although I can't say to mutch about terestrial as I get an awful signal where I live.
