Advantages: Very cheap for 32" hdtv
Disadvantages: 720i tv not full hd

...To start with the design is very stylish as is all the samsung models. But what really catches my eyes is the bring silver frame and it just looks slick. The price is very cheap for a 32" hdtv display well worth the money. This tv would be a great buy if u are on a budget or if its for your bed room. but if you want it in your living room and you want the best experience this is not the tv to buy. If you are one of those people i recomend you dont get this tv as it is only 1366 x 768 and get a tv with full HD which would have resolution of 1920x1080 this would give 1080i wereas this tv is only 720i but can support 1080i as well. hope this review helps... ...This TV wasn't my first choice when buying a TV. In fact, I actually bought a Sony KDL40V3000 but after a few days it got a fault where a 4" line of white pixels appeared on the right hand side of the screen. I took the TV back to Currys where I purchased it and as they had no others in stock I was given the option of selecting another TV. I opted for the Samsung LE40A556 and I'm so glad I did. This TV is such an improvement on the Sony. Starting with the look, it comes in the Black Gloss look which to be honest is stunning. Another thing I noticed was the weight of the Samsung. It's so much lighter than the Sony. The picture quality is definitely a step up from the Sony and it's still a 1080p screen. Other benefits include: 3 HDMI Sockets, more audio & display options. Advantages: Excellent picture, very good sound, comes with Freeview.
Disadvantages: Reaction time when pressing the buttons on the tv and the remote control.

...I have owned the Samsung LE23R88BD for about 6 months now and overall I'm really pleased with it. Pros- The picture is brilliant, it looks very sleek and has touch control buttons on the side for sound and program change. It comes with a stand but can be wall mounted. The screen never gets dirty and doesn't attract dust. I've read reviews elsewhere that the sound isn't good but I disagree. The tv is in a large dining kitchen and the sound is excellent. I set it to 29/100, so nowhere near full volume. It also comes with Freeview which I've really enjoyed the benefit of. Cons- Just the reaction time in pressing the remote control and something happening on the tv. Also pressing the on button and the tv actually coming on!... Read review

...I have recently purchased this exact model for my home, and what can I say. I have had a few LCD Tvs in the past, but this is hands down the best I have ever purchased. Samsung are by far the best retailers in most electronics, and there new LE 40 R LCD Tv model is no exception. I was in two minds whether to go for this Tv, or another popular brand, after much deliberation I decided to go with the Samsung, and I am exstatic that I did. The picture quality on this Tv is phenomenal. Vibrant colours, no displacement of pixels, and more importantly, no fuzziness which some LCD Tvs can give. The sound quality of this product is again unbelievable. With choices of various sound settings, there is eomthing for everyone when it comes to sound. ...Paid £849.99 for my first ever HD ready TV and chose the Samsung LE37R87 because the screen was big enough and I associate Samsung with top of the range electrical goods. Paying for the TV was the biggest bugbear followed closely by the sheer size and nightmare it was to get into my flat (I had to unpack it in the hallway). These were the only problems experienced and were quickly forgotten as soon as I had it plugged into my digital box and commenced the set up procedure which was much less daunting than I expected from such a highly advanced piece of kit. Total time spent getting it into the flat and out of box = 35 minutes, installed and working = 15 minutes. ...Purchased the Samsung LE32A457 on the 2nd July '08. Found it to be very easy to set-up the basic video & sound. To get the best from this model you do have to tweak all the settings, and there are plenty of them. The defaults are OK but was a lot, lot better after my personal settings. I was impressed with the picture quality and I don't have to have the volume up high to hear the sound clearly. I would suggest you buy a HDMI cable if you have anything connected to it, I have a Samsung DVD recorder as well. I then unconnected the three Scart Leads I needed for my old TV. The only draw back is the black surround needs cleaning quite often as it attracts the dust quite a lot. All in all, a very good quality HD LCD Television, clear & sharp vivid colours and the price was right for me from Laskys, delivered free in three days.... Read review

...Great Picture on HDMI with my Virgin V+ Box My media centre is connected by VGA which is great too, as is the Upscaling DVD player of Component! Picture and sound is good then. What is really annoying is no shortcut buttons on remote to HDMI/ COMP/ VGA. A. Turn TV on...takes ages to fire up. B. Press the Input button..wait...press the input button...wait. etc etc Eventually you get from HDMI to VGA. If this is the sort of thing that really annoys you, dont get this tv! ; Of course there is a menu system to navigate to the corrrect source, but unfortunately, this cannot be accesed through the Samsung DVD remote!. I do not like 10 remotes on the table, so the TV one stays in the basket. In summary, great TV, a pain to operate.... Read review

...This Samsung 46 inch tv is from the s86 range which is described as practical yet elegant, I completely agree on the practical side but a bit doubtful about the elegance. It doesnt seem to be as pretty as the other samsung TV with its wide casing and shrunken screen. The wide screen surroundings gives the impression it is trying to be a bigger TV then it is. It looks like a 46inch screen being installed on a 50inch tv. The screen is Sharp and Colours look richer and fuller but still no match for HD which is the Killer blow for this model unfortunetly. The only reason you would buy this TV over its Siblings is the Fact is is considerably cheaper, about £300-400 cheaper in fact. The LE46S86BD still has loads of clever functions like pc-connectivity and a gaming mode which automatically adjusts the picture to optimum levels when a gaming... Read review
