Samsung LE26R74B - Excellent Value for money
Advantages: Picture Quality, Ease of Setup, Price, Connectivity, Freeview, Slim, Appearance
Disadvantages: Sound
...SUMMARY
I bought this television from an online retailer at Christmas as a replacement for my 14 inch portable television. I was immediately suprised by the weight of it, it's incredibly light at around 10kg which is less than similar sized screens from other manufacturers. I think this television is fantastic quality, and exceptional value for money, I had paid £480 for the TV and have since seen it available for around £440. Although I had never purchased a Samsung product before, I would recommend this set without question. I hope some of the detail below proves useful.
SETUP
As I say, the first thing I noticed was how light the box was. The product was boxed with the screen, stand, instruction manual, remote control and batteries, power lead and cleaning cloth. All I had to do was to insert the stand and attach 4 screws to...

Samsung Le-26 R 72 B
Advantages: Looks Stylish, Lightweight, Can connect anything to it
Disadvantages: Gets dusty very easily!
...I bought this 26" LCD TV just before the World Cup last year as we wanted something decent to watch the football on.
The TV itself is good quality, it seems really sturdy but still quite lightweight at the same time.
Picture Quality
My brother works in the industry and advised us to buy a Samusung as they make the screens for Sony LCD TVs, so you are getting a Sony screen at a far reduced Samsung price. The picture quality is excellent and I can't fault it at all.
Sound Quality
The sound quality is not great and is sometimes very quiet even though the volume is turned up loud! It also buzzes sometimes but the ports are there to connect to a stereo and this works really well.
There are also loads of scart sockets and aerial points on the back so you can connect different componants. We currently have a DVD player and X...

samsung 26 inch lcd
Advantages: stylish, good performance
Disadvantages: sound and speaker quality, can't use picture in picture
...I bought this television for the bedroom after reading numerous reviews. The samsung range are rated highly.
Let's start with the downside - the speakers are not sufficient for the product - they are very quiet and I have read reviews that the speakers can burst when you turn the volume up. however, as I like the style I have connected the tv up to surround sound, which enhances the viewing experience. It is a very light television and easy to carry around, no need for a wall bracket.
The clarity of picture is brilliant, images are really clear and the colours are vivid without being over powering at any viewing angle. I have never had any problems with dead pixels and having owned the television for over 2 years have not had problems of any kind.
Setup is very easy, you just kick off the scan and it picks up the digital...

Samsung
Advantages: Samsung
Disadvantages: Samsung
...Product Features:
26in Widescreen LCD Television
High Definition Ready
Integrated Freeview receiver (IDTV)
1366 x 768 resolution
3000:1 contrast ratio
This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It incorporates most of the latest features and technology that is currently available on the market. Unfortunately it contributes significantly to global warming.
After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore would recommend the product. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things...

Samsung LCD TV rocks!!
Advantages: HD Ready, PC input, Light, Integrated Freeview
Disadvantages: Picture in Picture limited, Long remote control
...I wanted to upgrade to an LCD and after discussions with a mate who works in Electronics sales settled with the Samsung. I was told that Samsung are the leaders when it comes to LCD TVs with the other major companies purchasing parts from Samsung themselves. How reliable this is, I couldnt say? However, what I do know is that I am happy with my TV.
The picture is exceptionally clear and the set up was easy to complete following the instructions in the manual.
The benefits to this TV is that it has the INtegrated Freeview. It has picked up all available channes and I have yet to have a pixellated screen.
It is HD Ready which will be handy in the future when the BBC start trasmitting this.
The TV is exceptionally light and can be moved around the house with the miimum of effort.
I have connected the PC up to the tv...

Sam Sung to me. HD are you ready!
Advantages: HD techology, slim design, wall mount option
Disadvantages: dust collector
...the living space.
So the Samsung LE26R41BDX was ordered and delivered a week later, but not having the Sky connected till two days later meant it being set up on the DVD only. Mrs Scenic had been given the run down of the set by the Comet installer, but as with me the technology involved in modern electronics washes straight over me, but over the next week we did get to grips with the complexities of the TV and Sky system, but I admit to not having fully read the handbook that came with the set, I have enough trouble keeping up with Car technology and I do that for a living. How ever I have managed to work out the basics of the remote and the various menus therein and as this is the first review of this set I will drop in some more technical details at the bottom so most of you can skip it.

A gaming TV with more to offer.
Advantages: High Definition, Good Price, Good Looks, Wall Mountable
Disadvantages: NONE?!
...There is no doubt that you will have seen one of these awesome looking sets around somewhere before. They are everywhere!
Samsung dominate the LCD market, this particular 26" model joins their range, of well-priced good quality High Definition (meaning high resolutions of 720p and 1080i are avaliable, put simply making picture quality for digital TV that will soon be broadcast in HD as well as DVD playback and HD Gaming in the form of the xbox 360 look even better than on a standard TV)
This LCD is so special because of its relationship with xbox360 and its awesome pricetag (it is currently at the great price of £654.17 as a special Currys web-only offer)
The Samsung 26" is used on the xbox360 "pod's" to show off the awesome visuals of the xbox 360 in the best possible way, the samsung was the chosen medium for this important...

Perfect for gaming!
Advantages: Amazing picture quality, design and response time for gaming
Disadvantages: Some minor sound problems (occurs very rarely)
...Having purchased an Xbox 360, to fully appreciate the power of the console, I needed a television that was going to take advantage of that. After doing some research, I found an article that said that Samsung had been recently dominating the television market, in terms of smaller televisions. This 26 inch television is PERFECT for gaming, especially if situated within a bedroom (as mine is). It includes a feature called 'Game Mode', which when activated, the screen reacts immediately to the game's on screen actions, allowing fast actions and moving objects to appear smoothly and providing for a wholesome experience.
Some noticable specifications:
2 Scart connections
2 HDMI connections (Superb quality for gaming)
Game Mode
8 millisecond response time
Movie Plus Technology (enhances quality when watching films)
Screen...

Stark Contrast
Advantages: Stylish; Matt Screen, Good Connectivity; Tidy Remote; HD-Ready
Disadvantages: Dodgey contrast enhancement
...When it comes to electronics, Samsung sit high in my list of preferred manufacturers. That's not to say that I'll buy anything the produce, but all things being equal, they would be a brand that I prefer. So when LEgendaryMrsDude and I found ourselves in need of a 2nd TV set (during the World Cup), they were a brand that we considered and, obviously, went on to purchase.
The problem with the World Cup is that, for people that don't like football, it seems to last for ever. To make things worse, regular programming is entirely at the mercy of the match schedule. With so much extra time and penalties, having just one TV in the house was proving a bit of a problem. We needed a second set so that LegendaryMrsDude could watch what she needed while the football was on elsewhere.
We've already got a plasma screen in the Lounge (reviewed...
