SAMSUNG ML 1610 - NICE LITTLE PRINTER
Advantages: neat, small, fast
Disadvantages: doesn't have an integral paper tray
...We have been after a small mono laser printer for a while and once we had bought the laptop computer we wanted a printer that was a bit more portable and easy to use. My husband is a self-employed courier and he prints his invoices out each week and we also need to print out his accounts and vat returns each quarter. Also we print flyers and needed a laser printer because of ink smudging on the ink-jet.
We settled on the Samsung ML1610 mainly because of its cost. I did a google search and this came up as a cheap but good model.
TECHNICAL STUFF
+++++++++++++++
It prints up to 16 A4 pages per minute with 150 mhz processor for immediate printout. 2mb RAM installed.
It is classed as "ultra light" being 5.5kg in weight.
Easy to use and maintain, front access for toner cartridges and paper insertion.
Toner save button...

Samsung ML 1510 - laser printing for the home
Advantages: Very compact, fast speeds, excellent quality, Cheap
Disadvantages: Can you think of any!?
...----------
One thing this particular printer prides itself on being, is the smallest printer in its class. Samsung have created the smallest laser printer, which makes it very compact and light, perfect for the home office. The design is similiar to most other laser printers, a pretty boring beige box, however Samsung have tried to liven it up a bit by adding a turqouise front which works to an extent, making it home user freindly.
------------------
Compatibility
------------------
The Samsung Ml 1510 is compatible with many operating systems, making it perfect for businesses. Firstly, its compatible with your standard Windows, but only more recent OS's including 98/Me/2000 and XP Home/Professional. Its also compatible with Macs, which should be expected as businesses tend to be replacing more and more PCs with macintosh systems these...

Samsung ML1210 -the Printer with Personalities
Advantages: Very simple to use, reliable, excellent print quality
Disadvantages: tempermental software
...BACKGROUND
After owning a series of inkjet printers - Cannon, HP, Lexmark and Epson, none of which lasted a particularly long time, I brought a Samsung ML1210 Laser Printer.
The problems with the inkjet printers usually stemmed from their flimsy plastic mechanisms- pieces snapped off and springs stretched, snapped or simply fell off. Further the price of the cartridges were astronomical, especially the colour cartridges that never seemed to last very long.
At the time of my transition to Laser printing, the majority of my printing consisted of essays for my degree and letters and invoices for my partners business. I had always believed that laser printers were too expensive as I had looked at them a couple of years earlier and could not find one below £800.00. However, on a chance visit to Office World I noticed the little...

Snap Happy Samsung!
Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!
...I bought this camera in ASDA at the incredible price of £75 in a gorgeous chrome silver colour (pictured). I am probably one of the most indecisive shoppers around, so when it came to buying a digital camera, I was thoroughly confused by the choice and newly released technology, meaning every week a new camera with more mega pixels and better zoom and a toaster built in was released! This certainly does not making chosing easy!
Well, thanks to the advice of the very helpful assistant in ASDA, I was able to finally decide on the Samsung ES55 and have no regrets! Ok, so how do you chose the right camera for you? It's all about accepting there is SO much variety but making sure you know what you want, that way you can really trim down the choice. Also, pick a reliable brand and as I have been informed, Samsung are one of the best. I had...

Samsung ML-1520 Monochrome Laser Printer
Advantages: Fast printing and easy set-up.
Disadvantages: Quality suffers when large quantity is printed at once.
...I bought this printer mainly because of it's low cost but also because I liked very much it's predecessor, the ML-1510, which my girlfriend owns. It's cheap and very easy to set up.
If anyone owns a ML-1510 and thinking of upgrading to the ML-1520, I don't think there's much point. They are pretty much identical in terms of its functionality, but the ML-1520 is more square-ish and is the standard grey colour (more 'manly' if you like). Personally I like the ML-1510 better in terms of looks and is slightly smaller and lighter.
The pros. The quality of print (especially if printing text only) is superb, even on the starter toner that's supplied with the printer. I have not printed any photos so I can't really comment on that but I have tried printing road maps from the internet. Again the quality is great and I can clearly nake out...

Son Of Samsung Got Smaller And Does More
Advantages: Excellent print quality. Print from any PC in house without cables. Smart looking. Compact. Quiet
Disadvantages: Pricier toner than I've been used to. Better networking instructions badly needed.
...so well, it seemed logical to at least give them first refusal on my buying something of theirs, and so that, in part is how I came to decide on the Samsung ML-1630W. The other side to the argument rests with that 'W' in its name.
My other printer, an HP all-in-one is 'network-able'- OK, not by wi-fi, but network-able nonetheless. Having seen the delights of having to only leave the router switched on for every PC in the house (all 3 of them!) to be able to access the printer without any one of them needing to be the 'master' that shares printers, I was hooked.
The W in the Samsung's name stands for Wireless ? yes this one goes one stage further, and does away with cables (except for the mains, duhhhh!) completely.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Out of the box, it does indeed seem to be rather well endowed. Yes, they've even supplied a network...

The real Black beauty aka Samsung ML 2010R
Advantages: COST, SPEED, PRINT QUALITY, DESIGN
Disadvantages: I FOUND NONE
...I searched for a good laser printer and I checked my options for HP 1020
model and I purchased this Samsung ML 2010 R. At a price of Rs 5000(110$), it had a lot of advantage over the HP in terms of cost, memory size up to 8mb.Its standard cartridge gives a print for may be for a 2000, as I was told. Its a Concorde of the printers at 19,20,18 ppm under my observation. I am a university graduate and I need a B/W prints and I got a real Black beauty doing the job for me. It has a good design
and fits comfortably at a corner, make sure you have the power slot facility
while posting it. I would suggest it for a normal use at home and small offices and its a relief from the ink jet torture and the high priced HP models, " you must have this one"...

Samsung ML 1510 Laser
Advantages: Small and easy to use
Disadvantages: Costs more to buy a new toner than the printer
...manufacturers are waiting for Vistas' release next year and as such would not work.
The specs for the toner say it will print around 2000 pages before running out but the 1510 includes a Toner Saving Mode which helps to increase this a bit. Unlike an inkjet cartridge Tomer is actually a dry powder so it won't dry up if you don't use it within a year. It costs around £60 for a new toner which is more than the printer so it would seems more practical to get a whole new printer leading to the question - What do I do with it then?
You can buy bottles of Toner refills from eBay for around £5 last time i looked, however Samsung along with many other manufacturers these days integrate the toner cartridge into the Drum unit which normally lasts 3 cartridge changes before failing so eventually you will have to change it whatever you decide.
This...

Samsung ML 1520 Cheap printer
Advantages: very cheap at this price
Disadvantages: resolution of 600x600
...already own a Samsung laptop which has performed faultlessly for 5 years so I expect the same from this machine.
I can 't find this printer listed on the Samsung UK site but they have the drivers for a variety of OS and a copy of the included manual. I have yet to contact the manufacturer for help but I would like to see the specs etc online.
The box says USB1 but it works on USB2 - USB1 is fast enought for printers anyway.
If you have a high print load this may not be the printer for you but for home use particularly text only it is the way to go....

Samsung ML4500 Brilliant!
Advantages: Cost, reliability, ease of use, top quality print, compact size
Disadvantages: It's a hard working, reliable Volvo, not a Jaguar
...Cheap, hard working, easy to use, perfect copies every time, long use out of a cartridge - I could go on and on. I guarantee that you will delighted with this work horse. It takes up little space compared to many others, it doesn't make too much noise compared to many others. My business hammers this printer with at least 500 copies a week for over four years and it performs well every time. It is economical and although it isn't as fast as many new models, this printer is on the money. I bought it from Staples for just under £80 and if I had to replace the printer I would always stick with Samsung and I might look for one that prints more copies per minute and possibly in colour simply because of the job that I do, but if there was nothing suitable I would be delighted to buy the exact same model and would happily pay three times what I...
