Samsung NC10 Black netbook a lightweight and excellent netbook

Advantages: Great screen, excellent battery life,
Disadvantages: Poor speakers, personal headphones or additional speakers definitely help

...I bought my NC10 to replace my laptop which was just too heavy to be carrying to and from work everyday. I purchased my NC10 on a promotion weekend from a high street store beating online prices significantly. I was trying to avoid big bulky items to carry as I was on crutches at the time. Not recommended but straight out of box into my rucksack in the shop from which it was purchased. Didn't notice much weight difference in my bag at all. The Samsung NC10 has served me dilligently now being used more and more instead of my normal laptop as battery life is excellent. I use the NC10 round the house for coursework, work and even during my work lunch. The screen is bright and very easy to read, I primarily use the NC10 at home for surfing the net to shop and for music in the background. I have an extensive playlist on Spotify...

Samsung NC10 Review

Advantages: Good battery life, nice screen, near enough a full size keyboard
Disadvantages: small-ish trackpad

...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. Buying a full size (15.4") laptop seemed a bit pointlesss as i have two tower pc's which are my main machines, so this was just to be about casual surfing/ reading emails/ browsing while on the move. ...an ethernet cable to get wired internet if you do not have the option of connecting to a wireless network where you are. The keys are a great size, touch pad is not too sensitive nor too hard to use. I personally find the NC10 a grea little netbook, very portable and easy to use....

Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

SAMSUNG NP-NC10 Blue Netbook 1.6ghz Atom Processor

Advantages: Robust, Large Keyboard, Large Screen, Good Support.
Disadvantages: 1 Memory Slot, No Mobile Broadband Sim Slot, Specific keyboard key in unusual place.

...This netbook has to be one of my favourites, boasting a solid case, 10' screen and a fast bootup to Windows XP. Having played around with a few netbooks recently all boasting similar specifications, I can honestly say that I was not disappointed with this offering from Samsung. There are some negatives that let this review down slightly, so I will get these out of the way first. 1. The "\" key is located on the right side of the keyboard next to the "/" key. This takes some getting used to when swapping from a normal keyboard and you tend to select this by accident instead of the shift key. 2. There is no mobile broadband sim socket, so you have to buy one of the mobile broadband usb sticks which is fine but it would have been neater to simply keep a sim permanently in the netbook. 3. The BIOS on my netbook was out of date...

NC10 Review

Advantages: Very good battery life (5-6 hours), large keyboard for a netbook and nice size screen at 10.2 inch
Disadvantages: Touch Pad is fairly small

...I bought this netbook around 3 months ago from currys for 299.99, which for a samsung laptop is a good price. The screen is much larger than most of the other netbooks which are in the same price range, the processor is not light at 1.6 ghz but it is fast enough for browsing the internet, playing some old games and watching movies. Also 1 gig of ram really helps the speed, however i would not recommend installing vista. The lid of the laptop is very shiny and produces a nice finish which you would expect from a Samsung laptop. Some of the features of the laptop are listed below: 3 Usb 2.0 ports Vga connector Headphones and Microphones connector Ethernet Wifi Inbuilt Bluetooth Inbuilt Sd card port Kensington security connector 1.3 Megapixel webcam 4-6 hours battery life The battery life being around 5-6 hours in power saving mode...

Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen

...Having previously had a laptop my wife recently decided to buy a new computer for herself as she felt she was not taking her laptop with her due to size and weight and so decided to opt to pick up the Samsung NC10 netbook. So you may have noticed that this is a netbook and be wondering what this exactly means...a netbook is a smaller, lighter weight laptop that is simply designed to handle internet browsing, e-mail and office software. The question I was asked by my wife before she picked this little gadget up was would this be able to play games? The answer is yes but of a limited variety as this is not designed with the same level of specs in as a normal pc or laptop (you would also need to purchase a cd or dvd drive for if you are looking at playing games that use a cd). Samsung hits the netbook world for 6

Advantages: sturdy, reliable, quite nippy for a netbook, relativley cheap
Disadvantages: sound, no ssd option, still can't beat the aspire one

...With the netbook market already saturated to the point of that resembling a cat's fur when thrown into a bath (with almost as much fur flying between the competitors), it would seem that we don't need yet another standard netbook joining the ranks. However the samsung NC10 has proven to be a great addition to the market, and managed to undercut nearly all of their major competitors, even if it can't beat the acer aspire one. The NC10 is the usual netbook affair with regards to specs, it is fitted with the defacto standard intel atom, 160GB HDD and 1GB memory, this provides decent performance for all your web application needs and some circa 1999 gaming (no-one buys one for gaming anyway, but you've always got to at least try). Samsung NC20 Black

Advantages: Battery life, size and weight

...I have just purchased a Samsung NC20 from Amazon. I originally planned on getting the NC10 after reading lots of fantastic reviews, but I was apprehensive about the size, being approx 10" screen. Anyway I heard about the NC20, and after seeing a HP notebook of the same size, I decided to wait for that instead... Amazon have had the white version in stock for a few weeks, but the Black one only came in this week. Customer service was excellent, I ordered on Wed evening, but due to a problem with my card, the order only went through at 6.30pm on Thursday...it was then delivered at 8.30am on Friday!!! That's what I call express service! The cost was about £375, so it's not the cheapest on the market, but the reviews of the NC10 swayed me in spending a little extra. Anyway I've been pretty much glued to it ever since...
