Samsung YP-Q1, iPod killer?

...I have purchased my YP-Q1 just a day ago, and yet i am already in love. with some minor problems, which i will address in the following review, as-well as the reasons i love this more than my old iPod. Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

I had wanted something with excellent picture quality that I could use in low light conditions, taking pictures in clubs and indoors. I would also use the camera to take pictures for my business. But, more poignantly, I needed something cheap! I'm pretty broke and I had expected to fork out quite a lot for a quality camera to meet my requirements. I'm also quite interested in art, so as a hobby, had intended on taking up a bit of photography. SAMSUNG NP-NC10 Blue Netbook 1.6ghz Atom Processor

Advantages: Robust, Large Keyboard, Large Screen, Good Support.
Disadvantages: 1 Memory Slot, No Mobile Broadband Sim Slot, Specific keyboard key in unusual place.

...This netbook has to be one of my favourites, boasting a solid case, 10' screen and a fast bootup to Windows XP. Having played around with a few netbooks recently all boasting similar specifications, I can honestly say that I was not disappointed with this offering from Samsung. There are some negatives that let this review down slightly, so I will get these out of the way first. 1. The "\" key is located on the right side of the keyboard next to the "/" key. This takes some getting used to when swapping from a normal keyboard and you tend to select this by accident instead of the shift key. 2. There is no mobile broadband sim socket, so you have to buy one of the mobile broadband usb sticks which is fine but it would have been neater to simply keep a sim permanently in the netbook. 3. The BIOS on my netbook was out of date...

Light, small, fast, and amazing battery. Cant fault the Q1U

...Great little tablet PC with only a few drawbacks. Firstly the battery life is INCREDIBLE. On battery-save mode you get 12 hours with the big battery!! The screen is clear, the touchscreen is responsive and accurate. Some people have said the 600mhz version is slow but mine launches fullscreen video whilst web browsing with no problems at all. Worth being careful with the bloatware you install as there's a big selection on the disk, but you dont really need much of it. As for the downsides... some versions dont have the SD slot, either of the 2 cameras, bluetooth, the fingerprint reader, or the control buttons on the top right of the screen (volume etc) so be very careful to check when you buy - the model number doesnt tell you this! MY Short Samsung Q70 Experience

Advantages: Good size, excellent Battery life, good performance for every day use
Disadvantages: Looks and feels cheap, and hard drive let me down, very poor graphics

..., i know this becuase 6 months after purchase it all goes very wrong, several programs don't work or run and the only thing i could run was a game from 1995! I used Samsungs system restore program which is very helpful and dead useful, it saves so much time. However on the system being restored i had similar problems and the hard drive started making some very unhealthy noises. Samsung offered to repair or relace it, but frankly I'm very disapointing with this and wouldn't want another one. The McAffee software it came with was on the whole quite good, though it repeatidly asks me to click on the fix button, why it can't do it itself when it needs fixing beats me. The size of this also limits USB ports, 2 sounded like enough, but in practise i use a mouse with my laptop all the time and that only leaves me with 1, not good. I'm certainly...

Q1 Great product but not for everyone.

Advantages: Extremely Portable
Disadvantages: Low battery Life, No keyboard/Mouse included

...This is a great product from Samsung and microsoft. I have had mine for 3 months now and love how easy it is to use. The Q1 features a touch screen and seems to recognise all of my very scruffy hand writing. I don't use the dial keys that included and would like the input panel to be transparent but these aren't big problems. Only recently have I discovered that you can teach microsoft voice to recognise your voice and let you control your operating system. You can also talk type but this seems to muddle some words up and believes you are saying something you aren't . The Q1 only has a 900mhz cpu, 40gb hdd and 512mb screen and this may seem bad for the price but the other perks totally make up for this mistake. The Q1 also features bluetooth and a mmc card slot. Review of Samsung Q1 Celeron M 900 MHz - 7" TFT

Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...(although I do still have the cloth from my Eee PC). USING The NC10 has a 1.6GHz Atom processor and 1GB of RAM, which doesn't sound like much but it is very nippy for a low cost notebook. Music and videos play smoothly as they would on a full size laptop. The memory is even upgradable as the 1GB memory can be swapped with a 2GB one for even more performance. Also, 160GB storage for something that was meant to just be for surfing the net is pretty good and would allow for a lot of downloading. I would prefer this over a Linux netbook with a Solid State Drive with limited storage. Battery life seems to last about 5 hours although they quote 7 hours (probably only if you have it with the lowest brightness and leave it idle).
