Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

Samsung S1070 - Very good camera on a budget

We wanted one that would be simple to use but took very good quality pictures as we had a new baby & wanted to have good pictures to look back on. Advantages: It is a class act for a reasonable price
Disadvantages: Not much memory...but that is easily dealt with

...My mother is disabled and buys me vouchers or gives me money for birthdays etc. This can be a bit of a boring present, so I decided to buy the Samsung camera from Argos and make good use of it. I run a cattery in Spain and take photos of the cats and send them to the owners on holiday in Mexico or to relatives of sick clients in hospital in the UK. It is a very good basic camera and is no doubt capable of many more things than I have the time to use it for. At the moment I work 24/7 but am hoping in the future to take it to Mexico myself and study the camera properly, but in my opinion it will always be for amateurs....

Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen
Disadvantages: No dvd drive but this is to save on weight and you can pick up an external one for reasonable

The question I was asked by my wife before she picked this little gadget up was would this be able to play games? Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable

In my opinion I would recommend using rechargeable batteries with this camera as its lasts longer then normal batteries with this camera. You can buy this camera on Amazon for about £75 and comes in silver, pretty pink and I think in black. I would feel lost without my Samsung S600

Advantages: Pocket size, light in weight, simple to use. Pause button when recording movie files
Disadvantages: LCD screen is difficult to see in sunlight - but then this is usually the case on other cameras

I tend to leave it set on Auto most of the time, so it's ready to use anytime for anything. It has a very quick start up, so you won't miss photo opportunities. When I want to be more creative, I use the other modes and functions, of which there are plenty for any keen amateur photographer like myself. I'm personally not interested in all the new technology and features you'd probably hardly every use on other more expensive cameras available on the market. I'm happy to take simple and uncomplicated photos - the results really depend on whether you've used good composition and made sure your subject isn't in bright sunlight or a lot of shadow.
