...I bought this mobile on the basis that it was shiny and new primarily (yes I know I am shallow) but I have since been very impressed with the features, ease of use and quality. I normally use a mobile to only telephone people with and the Samsung SGH U600 does that with ease. Reception coverage has been flawless everywhere from Southend up to Derby. However I have found myself using the other features more and more. I like the simple way it handles text messaging ( I don't bother with grammer/punctuation but do spell words correctly). I work away from home a lot and have found that the radio function is really useful with excellent reception everywhere I have found myself. It saves having to take another gadget with me as well. ...I got this phone about 11 months ago on an upgrade with T Mobile. I had no idea what phone I wanted but when I explained the functions that I needed, the Samsung U600 was suggested to me. It is a nice looking phone, grey, small and thin, you can carry it in your pocket without it being too bulky. It is a slide phone with a large screen. The number buttons are under the screen and are displayed when you slide the phone down. The menu and call and hang up buttons are touch screen. Samsung SGH G600 is Fab

Advantages: Sleek ,easy to use, good and obviosly the great 5 Mega pixel camera
Disadvantages: No 3G

...thrown it several times and dropped it in the toilet once, and after drying it out , it still works fine no problems at all, really robust phone . It comes with 1GB microSD card, head phones and wireless ear piece in the box. Samsung may a wise choice in getting rid of the touch sensitive buttons of the U600 and replaced with some easy to use buttons. I would defiantly buy another Samsung and recommend it as a great phone....

Samsung SGH-i600 - Looks like a Blackberry

Advantages: QWERTY Keyboard, Runs Windows, Robust

...The Samsung SGH-i600, known as the Blackjack / i607 in the U.S, is a smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard (has keys like on a computer keyboard). However, I would say that it is not a phone, that should be used as a buisness phone, or one which would you used all the time, as the battery strength and endurance is not too good. Also, there is a rather limited amount of applications available. There is no satellite navigation or maps available, which for some people can be frustrating. Also, a real negative I have found with this phone, is that the internet services on it, are very poor indeed. Furthermore you cannot search through search engines etc. I would suggest that if you are in need of access to the internet that you do not purchase this...

...Having only ever owned a Samsung phone throughout the many phones I have owned in my life, I decided to carry on the tradition by buying the Samsung G600. It has served me well and has a number of really good features. One of the best little features I found with this phone was that there are a number of nice backgrounds preloaded onto the phone that can be changed in the settings menu. I currently have the puma background that shows up in the main menu behind all the features on the phone like messages. I also like the espresso theme but I find the puma background the nicest. Between the phones memory and the sim card, 1000 contacts can be stored in your phonebook, and 200 messages in total can be stored in the text message folder. To be honest I really dislike the fact that you can only store 200 messages, as I will never fill up...

...As typical with Samsung phones I'd ordered a replacement within two weeks of acquiring this phone, it having stopped working. This said, I'm still a big fan of Samsung, and my current phone is performing admirally. I have a beautifully shiny purple edition, which looks stunning, and certainly acts as a talking point! The phone its self works great, though can occasionally be a little slow texting. The screen is large and good quality. The in-built 5meg camera is better than previous versions; though as with all phone camera's requires everything to be perfectly still; but for a phone it's not bad! Advantages: Excellent value for money phone, enough extras to keep most folk happy
Disadvantages: Slightly dodgy touch sensitive keypad.

...Unlike most folk half my age or younger, I only want a mobile phone that does what it's supposed to do - make calls, send the odd text message (particularly useful in my circumstances as my wife is nearly deaf and cannot use a normal phone). I don't really need the latest gizmos and bells and whistles that some mobiles come with. So, how does this Samsung measure up? To start with I was fairly impressed. I'd say 5 stars for value for money, as I got it for free on a Virgin contract at a tenner a month for 100 minutes / 100 texts - plenty enough for my needs. The music player is very good, though I hardly use it, the games are decent enough to pass a few minutes from time to time, the screen is lovely and clear, and the menu system is simple and easy to navigate through.
