A phone to Samsung from the rooftops about!
Review of Samsung SGH-U800 Soul b by
lletterbas
Advantages: Sleek, sexy, inexpensive
Disadvantages: None
...Sleek & stylish. Sublime simplicity at it's best. Camera ensures stunning photos everytime even though it isn't the highest pixel mobile camera on the market at the moment, it serves it's purpose more than well. Ultra fast downloads. Easy to navigate through all the functions. Has some fairly decent standard ringtones on it. Can easily expand the memory with a Micro SD card. Excellent for texting on. The Samsung U800 is not only powerful on the inside, it's beautiful on the outside too. This very reasonably priced little mobile phone, will not only leave you being the envy of all your friends, it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face as it won't leave a dent in you wallet! The Sublimely Simple Samsung U800!...

Samsung G800
Review of Samsung SGH G800 by
mosslah
Advantages: High qauility camera phone
Disadvantages: Large
...If you are looking for a phone and camera (good qaulity) all in one, then this is the phone for you. It's got a fantastic resolution and is very simple to use. It may be a big phone, but it's quite light weight and is brilliant when you don't fancy taking a seperate camera and phone on nights out! You won't need your digital camera ever again when you have the Samsung G800.
I own the phone myself, at first I had to get used to the size of the phone, but once I had, I learnt to love it. And now i truly can't do without it. It helps me with Art projects and Photography projects as if i'm out and I see something that inspirse me, and have no digital camera, my phone is in hand!
It comes in a package which holds 2 memory cards, USB cable, Radio headphones and a very helpful guide book. Perfect....

Samsung G800 - Best I've EVER Bought
Review of Samsung SGH-G800 by
Darren-5-08
Advantages: 5MP Camera, Optical Zoom, FM Radio, 4GB Expandable Memory, Xenon Flash,
Disadvantages: A little bulky, but this can easily be ignored when compared to the excellent features!!
...This is the best phone I have ever bought. Easily. There have been comments about its size, but close comparison shows it is the same length and width as the Samsung D900, with just a larger depth, due to its optical zoom.
-----Internet-----
The Samsung G800 is one of the 3G phones on the market. This is simply an extremely fast internet connection.
-----Camera-----
On to the camera, now. Well, the massive 5MP is a good place to start. There is a lot of competition on the mobile phone camera front and the Samsung G800 is one of the winners, alongside the Nokia N95. However, something the N95 lacks is an optical zoom. The Samsung G800 is the ONLY 5MP with an optical zoom, which is x3. It also has a digital zoom beyond x3, going up to x12. Many also say that Cybershots are the best cameras, but I must disagree. The features...

Great Little Phone
Review of Samsung SGH-F480 by
soulsaver76
Advantages: Customisation, Battery Life, Size
Disadvantages: Texting can be a fuddle
...Great phone, I especially like the outstanding battery life which was much improved vs the Samsung u800 that I swapped. The widget feature is a nice little gimic allowing you to drag and drop various elements into the phones viewer as hotlinks - great for individual customisation.
If you are not used to touch phones then you will find texting a little difficult but bear with it and it will get easier.
A little issue is the you are calling automated call centres and need to press 1 or 2 to go to different departments, due to the touch screen you have to hit a number of buttons to get a phone pad option. It get even worse if you need to put in a password as no letters will be displayed and you have to use your memory of the numeric keypad....

Samsung SGH U600
Review of Samsung SGH U600 Ultra Edition 10.9 by
Helix30
Advantages: Looks good, easy to use, good additional features including radio and good camera, large screen
Disadvantages: Flimsy socket/headphone covering, small selection of games, over sensitive touch screen
...This phone really does look very good. Its slim, stylish and quite light. It's also a popular phone as I know about five people with the same model all of whome like it. It has a good size memory for all of those people who like to store loads of pictures and never delete their messages (I have about 800 messages and about 500 pictures stored on mine at the moment). The camera is fairly good resolution although sometimes it takes a while for the image to capture. The touch screen also works against you rather than with you when trying to take pictures.
The main problems with phone that I have had is that I found the cover of the headphone/charger socket really flimsy, mine broke within a few months of owning the phone. The 'touch screen' doesnt really do much and when it does it seems to be at inconvenient times-during the middle...

Sophistication at your fingertips
Review of Samsung SGH A800 by
ScottyG
Advantages: Small and compact, great features, fun to use.
Disadvantages: Takes some getting used to, no ringtone composer.
...‘The Samsung A800- Sophistication at your fingertips’ is the slogan Orange use to promote this rather stylish phone. Sophistication is just what the phone acquires. I warn you that this phone takes time to adapt to. The phone is one of the smallest on the market, when folded.
There isn’t much you can’t do with this phone. You can:
- Assign ring tones and pictures to callers
- Access Orange WAP services
- Enjoy screen savers.
- Use speed dialling to get in touch quickly
- Control phone with voice features
- Send and receive ring tones and pictures via text messages.
The manual, which accompanies the Samsung A800, will vary with networks. The manual provided with my phone was from Orange and is concise although will need reading before you explore the phone as the A800 is not a phone you will adapt to easily...

The Official Olympic Phone - SGH-E800
Review of Samsung E800 by
j3nni3
Advantages: Flash with Camera
Disadvantages: No acessories YET
...I've had this phone for 2 months now and i must say, its the best phone i've had so far... and i've had my fair share!
There are alot of people who don't like Samsungs... im here to try and shake that opinion! I've had about 10 different Nokia phones and i swore by them, but i tried a Samsung flip phone and found it easier to use, manage and understand. The menus are clearer on a samsung, screens and cameras better quality. The new SGH-E800's slide feature entrigued me a little and i had to try one! I absolutley LOVE it. You must check one out. Most phone shops will let you try a demo of one.
There are some good features to this phone. It has its sexy slide mechanism, a flash with the camera, and the option to add words to the dictionary that aren't already there.
The only problem i have found with the phone so far is that it switches...

Samsung smartphone sails away from competitors!
Review of Samsung SGH D500 by
MrMobile
Advantages: Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera
Disadvantages: No removable memory cards
...The Samsung D500 has been a handset eagerly awaited by both customers and retailers throughout the mobile phone industry for a number of weeks and its release at the end of 2004/ beginning of 2005 left most flabbergasted at how little this phone can disappoint. Boasting a 1.3 mega pixel camera and a 262k colour screen, this phone seems typically Samsung, with imaging and clarity amongst the best of any mobile currently available on the UK market.
This phone is much more than just a typical Samsung, though. Other models such as the smaller slide Samsung the E800 really exemplify what a Samsung phone is all about its small, silver, flashy. With the best quality polyphonic ringtones and the high quality images, due partly to a good camera and partly a good screen, the E800 is somewhat a ‘handbag phone’, it doesn’t do all that much but what...

Impressed with Samsung's camera phone offering.
Review of Samsung SGH E700 by
babsassy
Advantages: small, light and better than average photo quality
Disadvantages: short battery life
...I won't confess to being a great reviewer of mobile phones as I have only had about 5 in my lifetime, but...
I used to have a Samsung A800 which I gave me no problems at all, was a small, light flip phone so thought I would continue with the make and have a look at their camera phone offering. I have various friends in the mobile phone industry and they all recommeded the Samsung E700 for a compact, good quality camera flip phone.
As expected, I had no problems with the E700, it has all the quality markings from Samsung with the extras I wanted - colour screen, more understandable WAP service, and an extremely impressive photo quality.
For anybody who is used to a Nokia layout then it does take time to get used to the differences in texting/menu layout and buttons etc but having now used a samsung I would recommend one over the Nokia...
