Samsung SGH-i600 - Looks like a Blackberry

Advantages: QWERTY Keyboard, Runs Windows, Robust
Disadvantages: Can run a bit slow, No touch screen

...The Samsung SGH-i600, known as the Blackjack / i607 in the U.S, is a smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard (has keys like on a computer keyboard). The phone is a PDA style phone and often gets mistaken for a Blackberry, which is famous for the QWERTY keyboard. It definitely looks good and for the professional, which is the intention as it is intended as a business phone. I've dropped it many times with and without it being in a case so the phone is pretty tough. On the front, it has a 2.3 inch screen and a lot of buttons underneath it, most of which makes up the keyboard. The number pad has been combined with the keyboard and although looks a bit strange, is quite easy to dial the correct numbers because the buttons with numbers are in gray. ...The Samsung Omnia SGH-i900V I recieved my Samsung Omnia just over a month ago and to date it has been as impressive as the first day. It has many amazing features which i will explain later. However do note that samsung have not released the latest firmware for the phone, so some features you may have seen or heard about with the phones software may not be accesible unless you find and install the firmware update like i did. ...INTRO I got a bit fed up with my Samsung SGH-i600 as I found it a bit on the slow side and the lack of a touch screen limited what I can do on the Windows Mobile operating system. I selected the the Samsung SGH-i900 (aka: OMNIA) to be worthy of becoming the replacement. It's supposed to be an "iPhone killer" and similarly, has a full touch screen interface. I bought my Omnia on eBay for £366 to avoid increasing my contract cost with Orange. I threatened to leave orange so they gave me a £15 deal with 750 minutes talk time and unlimited texts but normally, if you were to get the Omnia with Orange, you would need to be on a £45 a month, 18 month contract and even pay £50 a month for the phone itself. ...I bought this mobile on the basis that it was shiny and new primarily (yes I know I am shallow) but I have since been very impressed with the features, ease of use and quality. I normally use a mobile to only telephone people with and the Samsung SGH U600 does that with ease. Reception coverage has been flawless everywhere from Southend up to Derby. However I have found myself using the other features more and more. I like the simple way it handles text messaging ( I don't bother with grammer/punctuation but do spell words correctly). I work away from home a lot and have found that the radio function is really useful with excellent reception everywhere I have found myself. It saves having to take another gadget with me as well.
