...Well, having seen this about on t'internet for a while, when my O2 contract was up for renewal last week, this was the one I had to have ! Having once been a dedicated "Nokia only" man, my mind is definitely opening having recently owned and used a Samsung E710 & D500 so I was certainly optomistic about this one. It arrived on Friday afternoon in a lovely box containing the following items: - SGH-P300 phone itself - Leather flip case / additional battery - Stereo hands free headset - Wall power charger - USB connnector cable - User manual - Software CD The phone is absolutely tiny, the same size as a credit card at just 86mm x 54mm and only a little bit thicker at 8.9 mm. Being this thin means, I guess, that carrying it around in my back pocket (oh so tempting) is really not a good idea just in case I sit down and snap...

Samsung SGH-C300, Detailed Review

Advantages: Cheap, good-looking, functional, lovely slide mechanism
Disadvantages: Customisation is limited, settings can be fiddly, no dictionary for predictive texts

...I got this phone as a replacement for a Sony Ericsson K310i on which the joystick had failed, and overall I have to say I'm fairly impressed. It's a very simple model with few bells and whistles that exists mainly to do its primary jobs of calling and texting (except for standard organiser, alarm, voice memo and currency convertor features). Calling is no problem, with the slide mechanism a joy to use as a method of answering incoming calls saving you from any fumbling with soft keys. The speaker is nice and clear, although you will almost certainly have to turn up the initial ringtone sound in order to hear it from your pocket over any normal background buzz. Dual band it is of course, so you can't take this to America - something it's always worth bearing in mind. Texting is fine, with lots of lines of text being displayed...

Advantages: Looks great, has lots of useful functions and you can personalise it to your exact needs.
Disadvantages: Slow internet, hardly ever get a 3G signal and the text messaging keypad could be improved.

Samsung SGH-F480 my experience

Advantages: Great features, and stylish!
Disadvantages: On the odd occasion the phone will freeze

...I have had my Samsung for 5 months now and I love it! The stylish design and the easy to use main menu. The phone has alot of feature 5 mega pix camera, video, completely touch screen, Bluetooth, internet browser,3G calling, 8gb memory card ect. In my opinion when I first brought the phone I was shocked at how much this item was, but when I started to use this phone and took advantage of all its features I didn?t mind paying that extra. I salesman said the best thing to do is charge it over night so I can get the most out of the battery, he was right I only have to charge my phone 3 times a week. On the other hand on the odd occasion the phone will freeze when I?m trying to text or make a phone call but recently this hasn?t happened for some time. My friend has the same phone and her handset dose the same, she doesn?t like the phone...

...I have had my Samsung SGH S300 for 6 months now and feel I did not waste my money. I do however have thumbs down for the non existent Bluetooth technology. The phone is provided with 2 batteries. Both are different in the standby duration. The extended life battery gives you roughly another day of standby mode. You have an external clock. This is only activated when you press and hold down the external volume button for a few seconds. You can change the colour of the external flashing light which is activated when you receive a call or message. The keys to the Samsung SGH S300 lighten up in a very attractive blue. More attractive when you are using your mobile at night. You have 40 polyphonic ring tones and have a WAP browser too. You can change the background display on the internal screen of your mobile with a selection...

...*NEGA REVIEW!* This phone is so obviously trying to leech off the success that is the iPhone with its touch sensitivity. When I read that Samsung was releasing a touch screen phone called the Tocco I literally spat out a mouthful of putrefied goat's milk. Tocco is Italian for touch, so how many hotpots and involving how many Samsung executives for the Korean company were used when deciding on the name for the phone? It's like mixing kimchi with ice cream. With such a fusion of epic nastiness, you would also expect the phone to be a sod load of puck, and it is! Advantages: It is an all in one 'phone, looks very good, is simple to use

...I bought this mobile on the basis that it was shiny and new primarily (yes I know I am shallow) but I have since been very impressed with the features, ease of use and quality. I normally use a mobile to only telephone people with and the Samsung SGH U600 does that with ease. Reception coverage has been flawless everywhere from Southend up to Derby. However I have found myself using the other features more and more. I like the simple way it handles text messaging ( I don't bother with grammer/punctuation but do spell words correctly). I work away from home a lot and have found that the radio function is really useful with excellent reception everywhere I have found myself. It saves having to take another gadget with me as well.
