Samsung SGH-F480 my experience

Advantages: Great features, and stylish!
Disadvantages: On the odd occasion the phone will freeze

...I have had my Samsung for 5 months now and I love it! The stylish design and the easy to use main menu. The phone has alot of feature 5 mega pix camera, video, completely touch screen, Bluetooth, internet browser,3G calling, 8gb memory card ect. In my opinion when I first brought the phone I was shocked at how much this item was, but when I started to use this phone and took advantage of all its features I didn?t mind paying that extra. I salesman said the best thing to do is charge it over night so I can get the most out of the battery, he was right I only have to charge my phone 3 times a week. On the other hand on the odd occasion the phone will freeze when I?m trying to text or make a phone call but recently this hasn?t happened for some time. My friend has the same phone and her handset dose the same, she doesn?t like the phone...

Sumsung SGH-F480

Advantages: Great value for money, Mobile TV, Internet surfing is fun, great looking
Disadvantages: Not good for texting, makes texting slow (not due to it being touch screen)

...Being my first touch screen phone, i was surprised how nice it is to use a touch screen phone. This phoe is the best little piece of technology i have come accross. Its 5MP camera is also full of wonderful features, and it can take a while for you to get the hang of configuring it to get the best picture results. I txt a lot using my phone, so i was worried when buying a touch screen phone to text.... I would say it is not as bad as i thought it would be, its quite easy to still text fast the same way you would in a normal button phone. However, the one big mistake samsung made is with their software regarding touch screen texting. Its hard to type short texts like "2mo" or "going 2" because the numbers are furthest away from the whole alphabets and symbols. For example, to type the number 2 in a text, takes 8 clicks/touchs on this...

Tocco

Advantages: easy, cool looking

...I am with T- Mobile and my 18 month plan was finishing up (this year March) so I had to find a new phone. To replace my old Nokia, which I have to say I had, had enough of. So searching through phones that had recently came out I found the Samung Tocco. This phone was everything i needed in a phone. Plus it was pretty good looking, with a high pixel camera (5.0). I hadn't heard much about the Samsung Tocco so I had to make my own mind up about it. When I got the Tocco it was pretty hard to get a hold of. I had to figure out which button went where and what the widgets are. But once I had mastered this which only took a couple of hours it was easy to use. The touch screen allows easy movability. ...*NEGA REVIEW!* This phone is so obviously trying to leech off the success that is the iPhone with its touch sensitivity. When I read that Samsung was releasing a touch screen phone called the Tocco I literally spat out a mouthful of putrefied goat's milk. Tocco is Italian for touch, so how many hotpots and involving how many Samsung executives for the Korean company were used when deciding on the name for the phone? It's like mixing kimchi with ice cream. With such a fusion of epic nastiness, you would also expect the phone to be a sod load of puck, and it is! The touch sensitivity is appalling, absolutely atrocious. I have used this sad excuse for a touch phone and I could not initiate any precision touch sensitivity at all. Samsung Tocco - you can't put it down!

Advantages: slim, touchscreen, good lay-out, 5.0megapixel camera
Disadvantages: takes some getting used to, scratchability

...The Samsung SGH-F480, also known as the Samsung Tocco has been readily available on the market since June 2008. Since the release of the first touch screen phones and the ensuing craze which followed, this phone has been long awaited in its arrival due to its availability on more networks and at a better price. The features offered by this phone are well displayed and presented and the phone as a whole looks great. With a little practise (it only took me a few hours!) the touch screen becomes easy to use but this is mainly due to the fact that such a novelty object is hard to put down! The main feature which i like is the large screen which means all photos and videos look great, which is of course helped along by the fact that the camera is 5.0megapixels! Samsung F-480 (Tocco)

Advantages: Incredibly stylish and functional
Disadvantages: None as of yet!

...At first a little apprehensive, after always having Samsung products i wondered if it would live up to it's rivals! It does! The F480 (Or Tocco as commonly known) is an excellent example in it's class. The camera at first glance is a little dissapointing but with a the correct settings and when pictures uploaded onto your computer, the quality really shines through. Simple, easy to use functions and the ultra responsive touch screen are an asset to this mobile phone. The widget feature is brilliant, although a little too responsive and sometimes frustrating! Basic menu functions include, text messages, phone book, my files, applications, music player etc and more! Little hidden extra gems included, such as world clock (which can be viewed in the widget) converter, video editor, voice recorder and the uber impressive music...

Tocco or not Tocco - that is the question

Advantages: Sleek, multi-functional little gadget
Disadvantages: Not brilliant as a phone

...an 8 GB memory card, a radio, a stopwatch, a world clock...no, I just wanted to make calls and send texts. Then my contract expired and I realised I wanted a new phone and to take a leaf out of my husband's book and go for something new - something that represented a step up from my old phone and into new territory. So I found myself in T-Mobile testing out several phones and the touchscreen on the Samsung FH 480 Tocco swung it for me - never mind the whistles and bells, the touchscreen represented the future to me, and was what had me signing the contract in the T-Mobile shop. I got my phone free with my Combi 25 contract which lasts 18 months. The Tocco is a beautiful piece of kit - the touchscreen is large and easy to use. The screen has a Widget, which shows the time, date, your calendar and you can place your music player here...

the tocco is great fun!!!

Advantages: very responsive touch screen, great range of features
Disadvantages: price if buying it on pay as you go.

...When it came time to renew my contract, i had already decided i wanted a phone which had the touch screen technology, but i was unsure which one to get, as the ones i had previously looked at or tried seemed to have a delay in touch the screen and the required action being performed. However when i came to looking at the samsung tocco F-480 i was very pleasantly surprised. The phone had everything that i required in a phone and more!!! So i am writing this review in appreciation of what i think is a really great and easy to use piece of mobile technology. Price:- As i got the phone on an 18 month contract i am not paying for the phone as such, however i have looked into buying this particular phone on a pay as you go basis and the price ranges between £170-190. Now this does seem like a lot of money for a phone, so if you can get it...

The Tocco - One Classy Bird

...I first got my Samsung Tocco [it's more commonly known as a Tocco than the SGH-F480] to a feeling of relief. My Dad had ordered it as part of our switch-over from the dastardly BT to the incredibly accommodating Virgin. However, after several bad experiences with ordering phones over the internet I was fully expecting a full week or two to go by before I was the owner of the Tocco. Not so, as the day after I spoke to a lovely bloke called Nick over the phone my Tocco arrived. Not only did it arrive, intact and shiny, but there were a number of added things in the box, such as some decent in ear headphones, a swish leather case and the elusive USB cable which with every other phone I have ever ordered has come at least two days after my phone. So, my Tocco and I got off to a good start together. The box was all arty and attractive...
