Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...After my white Asus Eee PC 1000H got stolen, I decided to replace it with a black Samsung NC10. The Asus and this Samsung are what is known as a netbook. It?s sort of a small, low cost laptop to let you surf the net, while you?re out and about. I bought it off Dixons.co.uk for £322 in December 2009 (had a 5% off coupon) but it?s going for around £310 at the moment in most places. CHOICES The NC10 is Samsung's first stab at the netbook market and they?ve done a blinding job of it. I believe it even won an award for it. The NC10 comes in three flavours, those being black, blue and white. I chose the black as it looks prettier. The white one also looks great but I figured that it would start to pick up dirt and go a bit black, especially the keyboard and touchpad. The white version has a matte lid so doesn't pick up...

Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen
Disadvantages: No dvd drive but this is to save on weight and you can pick up an external one for reasonable

...Having previously had a laptop my wife recently decided to buy a new computer for herself as she felt she was not taking her laptop with her due to size and weight and so decided to opt to pick up the Samsung NC10 netbook. So you may have noticed that this is a netbook and be wondering what this exactly means...a netbook is a smaller, lighter weight laptop that is simply designed to handle internet browsing, e-mail and office software. The question I was asked by my wife before she picked this little gadget up was would this be able to play games? The answer is yes but of a limited variety as this is not designed with the same level of specs in as a normal pc or laptop (you would also need to purchase a cd or dvd drive for if you are looking at playing games that use a cd). Samsung T200HD, perfection in a television?

Advantages: 2 HDMI, CAM Slot, Optical Out,
Disadvantages: Confusing instructions...think that's about it!

...I ordered this TV/Monitor for use in my bedroom - to be hooked up to a Sky+ box. In all honestly, my expectations were not high - I'm a bit of an AV buff and really didn't think that a sub £200 TV could cut the mustard...but boy was I wrong!! First step was obviously unpacking the set, where I found that everything was well packaged and also nicely laid out in the box so that I didn't have to go searching for different parts. After I had it all out and laid on the floor in front of me I grabbed the instruction sheet for assembling the stand - and the mind really did boggle. I know that written instructions often become a bit garbled when translated from a foreign language - but I can honestly say that I've never heard of pictures being lost in translation before! ...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. Advantages: Easy to use flip phone

Samsung hits the netbook world for 6

Advantages: sturdy, reliable, quite nippy for a netbook, relativley cheap
Disadvantages: sound, no ssd option, still can't beat the aspire one

Samsung NC10 Black netbook a lightweight and excellent netbook

Advantages: Great screen, excellent battery life,

...I bought my NC10 to replace my laptop which was just too heavy to be carrying to and from work everyday. I purchased my NC10 on a promotion weekend from a high street store beating online prices significantly. I was trying to avoid big bulky items to carry as I was on crutches at the time. Not recommended but straight out of box into my rucksack in the shop from which it was purchased. Didn't notice much weight difference in my bag at all. The Samsung NC10 has served me dilligently now being used more and more instead of my normal laptop as battery life is excellent. I use the NC10 round the house for coursework, work and even during my work lunch. The screen is bright and very easy to read, I primarily use the NC10 at home for surfing the net to shop and for music in the background. I have an extensive playlist on Spotify...

Sexy Samsung!

Advantages: Full HD and sexy
Disadvantages: Bit expensive

...and boring. The colour and the shape are rather nice to look at here though. I realise that isn't of greatest important but it is good to know :) The sound however is the only draw back. The speakers are good for a small - medium sized room. However if you have a large room you need to think about surround sound. The samsung Hd TV's are known for having poorer sound quality copared to the Sony models for example. I however cannot notice a huge difference. I think the other features of this TV more than make up for this problem!...

Advantages: Lots of connectivity - Big keyboard - excellent screen - Good spec
Disadvantages: bad sleeve to store netbook - battery life not that long - small touchpad

...and basically not do anything demanding. I have got 8 hours using the batttery manager - i placed everything at the lowest settings and got my 7 and a half hours. But after a recharge with everything on lowest settings - running some demanding programs - i got 4 and a half hours - now whilst this is still good - its not that impressive. If you switch to max performance the netbook is superb - everything is much faster and more enjoyable but then you will be getting a maximum battery life of 3 hours. Then there is the fact that batteries lose power after a while anyway. The netbook can also get very hot - whether its charging or not - so dont put it on bare legs :-) The charger is good and it doesn't take long to charge - especially when you can use the netbook whilst it is charging. Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

...the performance of a camera is heavily reliant on your requirements for that camera and this is a serious consideration. Whilst this camera greatly suits my needs, it may not suit yours, so please think about this before comitting to buy. At this point, I was interested in the Samsung and after being wowed by it's low price-tag and the offer to return it should it not meet the performance I had expected, I was sold. My first impressions was only of its appearance (you cannot try cameras out in ASDA). The front is solid metal casing, whilst the back is more plasticy, with a large screen and directional buttons. This was my first and last worry about this camera- I'm clumsy and I didn't want to break the device by dropping it and shattering the apparently fragile back cover.
