Samsung U600

Advantages: Looks good, easy to use
Disadvantages: Scratches easily, turns itself off randomly

...I got this phone about 11 months ago on an upgrade with T Mobile. I had no idea what phone I wanted but when I explained the functions that I needed, the Samsung U600 was suggested to me. It is a nice looking phone, grey, small and thin, you can carry it in your pocket without it being too bulky. It is a slide phone with a large screen. The number buttons are under the screen and are displayed when you slide the phone down. The menu and call and hang up buttons are touch screen. To describe some of the features that the phone has- Camera- It has a 3.2 mega pixel camera which is very good quaility, however it annoys me how it takes a while for the camera to capture the picture before it actually takes it. ...Samsung U600 A Samsung U600 is a phone I would strongly recommend to anyone who wants a decent/high quality phone with a fair few number of applications - a reliable phone, where you will, in my opinion get your moneys worth very easily. However, I would say that it is not a phone, that should be used as a buisness phone, or one which would you used all the time, as the battery strength and endurance is not too good. Also, there is a rather limited amount of applications available. There is no satellite navigation or maps available, which for some people can be frustrating. Also, a real negative I have found with this phone, is that the internet services on it, are very poor indeed. Furthermore you cannot search through search engines etc. I would suggest that if you are in need of access to the internet that you do not purchase this...

Samsung SGH U600

Advantages: It is an all in one 'phone, looks very good, is simple to use
Disadvantages: Battery life can be short

...I bought this mobile on the basis that it was shiny and new primarily (yes I know I am shallow) but I have since been very impressed with the features, ease of use and quality. I normally use a mobile to only telephone people with and the Samsung SGH U600 does that with ease. Reception coverage has been flawless everywhere from Southend up to Derby. However I have found myself using the other features more and more. I like the simple way it handles text messaging ( I don't bother with grammer/punctuation but do spell words correctly). I work away from home a lot and have found that the radio function is really useful with excellent reception everywhere I have found myself. It saves having to take another gadget with me as well. Samsung U600

Advantages: Attractive design, large screen and wicked camera
Disadvantages: slow camera take time, rubbish battery, low volume on media player.

...When i first saw this phone, the first thing i noticed was its sleek features and thin design. I thought this would be the perfect phone, but on further inspection, this turned out to be somewhat untrue. The design is bang on. No doubt about it, you won't be disappointed. Easy slide action and very smooth. Charges quite quickly and light doesnt stay on whilst charging unlike its other touch screen relative, the samsung E900. The phone is quite stong even though it is very thin but like most samsungs, the screen scratches very easily. The battery life is one major concern with this phone. It is VERY poor. You end up having to charge it every single night with ordinary use. This is just the sacrifice for having such a think phone. Also, the music player plays at a very low volume. Not good if you like to share your music...

Samsung U600 --- Classy but Fragile?

Advantages: Good looks, good camera,
Disadvantages: huge durability problems

..., and cannot wait to get rid of it. What was an excellent product in the D500 for 3 years, has far from been emulated in the U600. although a very nice looking and technically sound phone, it is also very fragile, and so great care is needed if you want all features to still be working in the future....

Thin, Stylish Samsung U600 phone

...I decided I wanted a new mobile phone. I checked the internet to see what was on the market and what other people considered to be a good phone. I decided on the Samsung U600. What I liked about it was, it's very stylish, I liked the slide feature and the fact it was a very slim phone, it only about 10.9mm thin. The features on this stylish phone are endless. The camera is a 3.2 mega pixel camera. It has an FM radio and a music player and you are able to connect to the internet. Some of the features: Call log, phonebook, music player, browser, messages, my files, calendar, camera, applications, alarms, bluetooth, games and settings. One of the things I didn't like was how delicate the phone was as it is touch sensitive, it starts to connect and ring people who you haven't phoned or deletes a message which has taken you...

Liking my Samsung U600

Advantages: Sleek and classy looking phone.
Disadvantages: Battery doesn't last too long

...choose not to use the phone to take pictures, which I find is a bit disappointing as I don't always have my digital camera with me. But instead I think it takes quite good videos. It's quite clear, which I am surprised about after many attempts with the picture-taking. The other thing that I find annoying is the alarm clock. I have this tune that I use for my alarm and I've been using it on all my previous phones, so I prefer it, but on the U600 it doesn't save that tune "as" my alarm tune, so each time I set my alarm I have to go through everything including snooze etc. I also don't like the fact that you have to choose how many times the snooze comes on when you set the alarm. I mean it would be much more convenient if you press snooze after being woken up rather than having to decide how many times to be woken up the next morning...

Samsung U600 - worth an upgrade

Advantages: looks, size, feel, those buttons, nice screen
Disadvantages: camera delay. poor elements of the software

...samsungs. Also, a small note, but the phone is very quick from menu to menu, looking at messages. On some of my old phones, messages would take a good 2 seconds to display, and so I was pleasantly surprised that this phone not only views them far quicker, but also in far greater number(mine\'s got well over 600 on it, I don\'t know how many it will take at capacity). The screen quality is good. High pixel count and vivid colours. The only other disappointment is the camera. 3.2 megapixels, but sadly, the shutter delay is significant, so the pictures are blurry and at least a second after you wanted them to be taken. This is a very big let down, when you consider that sony ericsson is putting much quicker, sharper lenses into their cameras, samsung has missed a trick. Style over substance evidently in this little battle. Battery Life...

...The Samsung U600 is the slimmest slide phone, even slimmer than the trendy D900 which is now replaced by u600. I bought mine for 85 pounds which is a dark blue colour. It has an amazing 3.2 mega pixel camera if you look how thin the phone is, with flash and 4x digital zoom. If you take a picture of a business card it recognizes all the field and enter them automatically, this is a new feature. It also records videos in mp4 format and the maximum video size is 352 x 240 which is good. It has a 2.2 inch TFT 262k colour screen which has great graphics because I downloaded 'Horton hears a who', converted it into MP4 format and saved it on my phone to see if it works and it worked. The movie has exactly the same size as the phone screen and has very good graphics. I also downloaded a trailer and when I played on my phone it looks...
