Advantages: looks great , AMOLED screen , 8MP camera
Disadvantages: No WI-FI , dodgy texting

...This was the phone I was initially planning on getting until I actually got a chance to play with someone else's. Don't get me wrong it's a good phone , and it looks stunning , but then it gets that inevitable comparison to the iphone and suddenly certain aspects of it don't seem quite so good... Starting with the good points though the tocco ultra come's with an impressive 8MP camera complete with all the trimmings including editing software and a share pix faciltiy which lets you upload picture's to a variety of site's. It uses a LED light which although not as good as the xenon flash is still more than adequate and the clarity of the picture's taken is brilliant , if anyone's got shaky hands it's also worth noting that samsung have added anti-shake software to counter any wobbling and things such as smile shot(taking a photo...

Samsung U600

...I got this phone about 11 months ago on an upgrade with T Mobile. I had no idea what phone I wanted but when I explained the functions that I needed, the Samsung U600 was suggested to me. It is a nice looking phone, grey, small and thin, you can carry it in your pocket without it being too bulky. It is a slide phone with a large screen. The number buttons are under the screen and are displayed when you slide the phone down. The menu and call and hang up buttons are touch screen. Ultra Slim And Sexy

Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition - far too complicated!

Advantages: Stylish looks, good camera, nice colourful screen
Disadvantages: Touch screen largely un-responsive, gadgets on the phone confusing, interface is awkward

...When the time came that I wanted to get a new phone contract, the first place I decided to look was the Orange website. The Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition really stood out, the specifications list seemed fantastic and so I decided this was the phone to go for. Waited eagerly for its arrival... On getting the phone I was very impressed with how it looked, very sleek and stylish. Quite a large phone, but also thin so that made up for it. Easily fit in my back jeans pocket. On turning the phone on I was pleasantly surprised at how crystal clear the screen was, the colours were astounding. However actually using the phone was a bit of a mission... the touch screen was unresponsive a lot of the time, it sometimes took me 10 attempts just to open a text message! Writing a text was another feat altogether, yet you could do this on the buttons...

Camera: I have used the camera a lot since purchase of the phone as it has an amazing 8mp compared to my old phone which had 3.2mp I highly recommend... However, I would say that it is not a phone, that should be used as a buisness phone, or one which would you used all the time, as the battery strength and endurance is not too good. Also, there is a rather limited amount of applications available. There is no satellite navigation or maps available, which for some people can be frustrating. Also, a real negative I have found with this phone, is that the internet services on it, are very poor indeed. Furthermore you cannot search through search engines etc. I would suggest that if you are in need of access to the internet that you do not purchase this...

Quality you expect from Samsung Today

Advantages: Slim and stylish, lots of features
Disadvantages: Not convinced with the touch screen buttons

...The Samsung U600 is part of there new Ultra range And a fairly new release. The Features of this phone are not that different from what you expect from a modern mobile phone in todays market: bluetooth, camera (has a decent 3.2 mega pixle) Fm radio, calculator, calender, Java games, slide to reveal keypad/answer calls... etc. Apart from the usual features it has a few that are more recent additions touch buttons (there are 4) are a nice touch and make the phone look less busy, but in my opinion can be a bit of a pain when navigating the menu as they have a habit of going back a page or exiting the menu at the slightest touch out of place which can be a pain, the phone is only 10.9mm thick but dont think its a tiny phone because this is the only small dimension on the phone. ...After previously owning a Samsung D800 slide phone and being extremely impressed with the interface and ease of use, i thought i would keep with the same design when recently upgrading to a contract. After owning it for a couple of months it has exceeded all expectations and is a massive improvement on my previous model. One of the main attractions with this phone is the slide mechanisms, which has really been adopted bu Samsung lading to an impressive mechanism that works extremely smoothly. Another impressive design feature is that the phone is only 11mm thick, adding to the modern style of the phone. The incorporation of a touch screen for the select and call buttons also make operation easier and add to the smooth appearance of the phone.
