..."It all seems like yesterday not far away" or so Madonna sang anyway in 'La Isla Bonita'. For me it all seems like 3 weeks ago, and so I decided, to get busy writing up my experiences of my honeymoon in Belize. The reason for the Madonna quote, if you were wondering, is that, just off Belize is the island which inspired Madonna's song, Ambergris Caye (home of San Pedro), and it is in places truly beautiful. But more about that later. RESTAURANTE O PEDRO a delight.

Advantages: A jovial and attentive waiter

...We were on our Annual Short break to Tavira in Portugal on the Algarve. The previous September my Brother Rob, and his by far better half Roz had been caught up in the XL Failure so had ended up with a replacement holiday in Cabanas, a small town juts an 8 Euro Taxi ride from Tavira. So on the Sunday Luch we tripped over to Cabanas, there were six on this jaunt, Rob/Roz Anne and Daughter Sheryl and Jane and I. Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Overdrives cars

...I expected big things form De la Rosa. instead he drives into people and over people instead of around them. He did very well at A1 ring but only because nearly everyone went out on the first corner. Then the car let go. Also, Jos's car last a lot longer than Pedro's which makes me wonder if he is overdriving it. Engines that let go that often are not normally manufacturers fault. Drivers are simply overdriving them. Same as Johnny Hebert. No way can someone have such bad luck with engines. He just breaks them. Go to Indy Car racing Johnny, and take Pedro with you!!!...

...I visited San Diego last October due to a work meeting. As it was such a long way to travel I thought it would be a good idea to add on a few days holiday to explore the area with a friend who was coming along. Getting There There are direct flights to San Diego from London however at the time these were three times as expensive as a fare with stopovers in the US and with a friend coming I wanted our flights to be as cheap as possible. Our flights went from Heathrow to Washington where we changed planes for a flight to Chicago and then another change for a plane to LA, where we got our final plane to San Diego. This may seem too much for some, but for me it was great as the plane changing gave me a chance to stretch my legs. I think I would have found 13 hours cooped up in a plane too much! Relaxing break at the Cortijo Blanco!

Advantages: Beautiful gardens, great staff, fresh food
Disadvantages: views from some rooms onto roads

...there are plenty of choices. During the day I found it very hard to eat anything as I was so warm. This is when the free ice cream and constant delicious drinks( beware if you are ordering alcoholic the measures are three times the British one, which is okay if you like strong drinks)came in handy! The bar staff knew my order by the third day of the holiday and were lovely! Could not have stayed just in the complex most nights if they had not been characters! The local area is quite quiet, nearby Puerto Banus and Marbella are worth a trip! but a little overrated. There are a few little roads next to the hotel with various shops and eating places( we went to Buddies for a pizza one night - it was excellent ). Plenty of pubs which show sports(especially British football for the men bored with sunbathing!) The San Pedro beach is gorgeous! But...
