...My (new)husband and I travelled to this resort in order to get married, and I couldn't be happier that we did! After a tedious 10 hr flight with Virgin, we were greeted at the airport and directed to the Sandals private lounge to await our transfer to the hotel. The lounge was very nicely furnished with an array of free, self-service drinks - alcoholic and soft, and very polite, friendly, smiling staff. After short wait we were taken to our air conditioned minibus by the Redcaps (airport porters who take care of all your luggage). A brief 15 minute journey later we arrived at The Royal, and were taken aback at how luxurious the place was right from the main entrance. As we exited the minibus, we attempted to retrieve our bags but were told that "You are on vacation now, you don't carry bags", and again our luggage was whisked...

Review of Sandals Royal Caribbean, Montego Bay

Scandalous price, sandal perfect feet.

Advantages: Smell, smooth polished feet without pumice, scrub or foot files.
Disadvantages: The Price

...I was bought a box of Sandal Scandal for Christmas but hadn't got round to using it. The box contained one Bathina by Benefit "Sandal Scandal" £27.50 for a 130 ml tub and one pair of cute booties (trainer socks!) with pink heel pompoms. When I saw the price my loving relative had forked out just so I could have nice posh foot cream I thought it was a "save for a special occasion" type of luxury item. Anyway forget special occasion my feet haven't seen the light of day in ages. Neglected is an understatement. I'm going on holiday tomorrow and blowing the dust off my flip flops was horrified at the state of my feet. I applied aforementioned cream sparingly - hey I'm a student - and donned bootie socks. It has the typical Benefit smell but I really like that fresh, just got out the bath fragrance which I now associate with using...

Review of BeneFit Sandal Scandal

Dunns River sandals- bit of a letdown.....

Advantages: beautiful beach, fantastic buffet
Disadvantages: other resturants very poor

...We went here for our honeymoon in July 2003, it is a couples only resort. We chose it as it was one of the few places of that destination that wasnt hurricane season. When we arrived at the airport it was late evening and we were driven in a van/coach to the resort which took approx 45mins if i recall. When we got there they instantly took our bags up to our room for us and we had to sit down for a brief introduction. Well our room was air conditioned, had a bath shower and overlooked the gardens. The bed was a superking which was great! It was quite an immense complex and downstairs there was a long corridor where you could book excursions. As for the restaurants there was a buffet area where you had breakfast and/or lunch, an italian, oriental, silver service and a snack bar and this is where i felt Sandals really let us down. Dont...

Swords and Sandals

Advantages: Interesting read that gives insight into the Greek way or life and their system of beliefs.
Disadvantages: Names can be confusing and battle scenes can be a bit tedious.

The main gods that appear in the Iliad are Apollo, Hera, Zeus, Athene/Athena, Ares and Poseidon, although Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Artemis and others appear occassionally. Also, some of the warriors have gods as fathers or mothers. When the text refers to a warrior as Olympian born or Olympian bred this will suggest gods are involved there somewhere. *So is it all swords and sandals then?* Well, pretty much. You have a lot of battle scenes and big hero types like Achilles, Hector, Ajax and Odysseus, but there's plenty of intrigue and tender scenes in it, too, so don't be put off too quickly. Advantages: All inclusive, laid back, peaceful
Disadvantages: 2+ hour journey from Havana

...simple enough. No problems. Then it was to our luggage which had arrived and was being taken off the belt by a member of the airport staff. Before going out into arrivals a woman checked our tags. I was told if it had a special stamp on it they would go through your luggage. The luggage was x-rayed as it came off the plane. Again, they are looking for contraband. Ours had no stamps and we were free to pass through to arrivals. A Sandals rep was waiting for us and directed us to the bus. There was a bar on board the bus. However, the drinks did cost. We had to wait another hour for the rest of the Sandals guests to go through immigration and customs. It was a 2 hour trip to get to the resort. Check In Our check in was very quick. In 15 minutes all of the couples on the bus were given their room keys and amenity kits along with a glass...

All You Need is Love......and Royal Treatment

Advantages: All Inclusive, laid back atmosphere, food and drinks

...We were barely off the plane from our Sandals holiday in Cuba when we were pawing through the newest Sandals brochure ready to book our next Sandals holiday. That is how much we loved the holiday- you can read my review on Sandals Royal Hicacos. But, WHERE were we going to go?! There were so many choices. Sandals Resorts are located in Cuba, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua and Bahamas. So, we had to decide on which island to visit. We were just back from Cuba. So, that was off the list. After much debate, we decided to go to Jamaica. But that wasn't the end of the decision making as there are 7 Sandals Resorts in Jamaica!!! BOOKING In the end we decided on Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay.   Sandals Royal Hicacos Resort & Spa

Advantages: great food, lovely beach, lots of amenities.
Disadvantages: not as advertised, lousy service sometimes, expensive.

...We chose Sandals Royal Hicacos in Cuba as our Honeymoon destination. The resort is very nice, but it is not what we expected from a Sandals resort and was certainly not worth the price that we paid for it. We stayed for 2 weeks from 21st July 2003. We booked through The Holiday Place (online) in the UK; we spent many weeks looking for offers for either an all-inclusive or a cruise for our honeymoon. We eventually chose a Sandals resort (this resort was the cheapest) as we thought it would be the most luxurious and pampering holiday from all those offered. From the advertising that Sandals gives on TV and in brochures, their resorts certainly look perfect for Honeymoon couples. ...served food to share, all recorded on to vid for memmories after this we spent time with our friends before getting changed for our romantic wedding Evening meal, this to was fantastic and it was the perfect end to a perfect day, and when we got back to our hotel we can flowers, gifts and rose petals on the bed. The next morning we were brought breakfast in bed, it was fantastic. My make up and hair etc were also done by the on site salon. There are other extras you can add on to the package like a moon light massage etc. You have got to go, and so have I again sometime but this time it will be "beaches" the sister of "sandals" as Beaches allow kids. scandalously smooth...

The product that lured me over to the fateful counter, whispering softly to me 'rhino feet, rhino feet' A couple of weeks ago a small parcel arrived, and sheepishly over breakfast housematey unwrapped a box of 'Sandal Scandal'. I choked on my weetabix when she admitted it was £27.50. 'But it's so little!' I exclaimed, 'you're clearly mad'. I wiped the milky ceral goo off my chin and flounced off to demonstrate how sensible I am and how flighty and silly she and her credit card are. And here I am now, telling you to go out and buy the stuff. I have nasty feet. Review of BeneFit Sandal Scandal

no pressure, no problem

Advantages: Staff were Great, Room was Good, Hoilday was relaxing free transfers to the other resorts
Disadvantages: Beach & water sports were not great at this resort

...Sandals Regency, St Lucia My Wife and I visited Sandals Regency on the island of St Lucia in January of 2009. We stayed for 10 days in one of the Honeymoon La Toc Premium rooms, based on that stay I will try and give some details on what I thought of the holiday #Airport and Transfers We flew into the Hewanorra International Airport, upon departing the plane and making our way across the tarmac we were guided into a passport checking area, it was air conditioned and cool enough however it took quite a while to get everyone though, we were lucky enough to be relatively close to the front and were dealt with in about 20 minutes however their were only 2 official?s on the desks and our 747 plane looked fairly full. I can well imagine that those near to the back would have been waiting over an hour to have their passport checked...
