...After debating for a while Blackpool seemed to be the best place for a girlie weekend away! If its good enough for hundreds of stag and hen holidays every weekend then its good enough for me! Now for finding a hotel. After searching numerous hotel websites i came accross the Sandhurst Hotel. Thier website is www.sandhursthotel.com --Prices-- For a single room prices start at £16 pppn depending on what time of the year your going. We went late June and paid £18 pppn. This price includes breakfast so is very good value for money! --Location-- The hotel website has directions you can dowload or you can easily use an online route planner or a good old a-z. The hotel is around a 10 minute walk from South Blackpool train station and is pretty easy to find if you have the directions handy. There is a 2 minute walk to the Blackpool...

I love letting someone else do the shopping

Advantages: Saves time, money and arguements!
Disadvantages: You do have to order and book a time slot quite far in advance.

...I am not a lazy person but at present I have no car, so I cannot get to the supermarket to do the weekly shopping. Having asked my husband for the last few months I am as fed up as he is about going shopping with him and the kids. So when we got a computer the first thing I did was register with Tesco.com, and yes I do know that I am supposed to be talking about Asda. Well I tried Tesco's first because everyone was raving on about how marvellous they were. At first I had no problems the food arrived in the allocated time slot and most of the things I had ordered arrived and the substitutions were great, but then they changed from the massive Sandhurst store to the smaller local Aldershot store and yes you guessed it they do not have the same amount of stock, so I was getting more and more fed up with have no substitutions...

Red Bull- Danger

Red Bull is sold as a caffeine stimulant and its effect comes from the large quantities of caffeine in the drink. This is where the danger comes in: Caffeine is a stimulant and alcohol a depressant. Therefore, when you mix the two your body doesn't know what to do. The caffeine also acts as a diuretic which leads to dehydration. This accelerates the dehydratying effect of alcohol. Red Bull has been banned from Sandhurst and I think Sweden as well. Having said all this there is no doubt that it will extend your stamina on a heavy night out. Being Blunt, I LIke It!

...2005 was a really good year for music, in my opinion, especially due to the amazing talent of James Blunt. His single You're Beautiful was number one for ages and is a song I never seem to have tired of since. In fact, I bought his album on the strength of that one song and wasn't disappointed. James Blunt is an interesting bloke. I stumbled across his concert on the BBC earlier this month and was surprised to hear him speak, as he is rather posh! He also went to Sandhurst and became a soldier. I don't know quite what I had expected from seeing one video of him - except maybe a guy who liked sitting in the snow while wearing inappropriate clothing? - but that was well away from my idea of what he was like.
