...I bought this card along with my Olympus e-500 camera as it was recommended by the seller from whom I bought it. The recommendation was quite good as the card was relatively inexpensive and is very quick writing to the card, there is little if any storage lag. Energy consumption is low relative to other cards on the market, particularly cards by cheaper manufacturers such as Kingston. This card supports all types of data however to access this functionality a USB connector is required. This particular model of the card is quickly becoming obsolete because of the relatively small amount of datait can hold. Sandisk has similar cards on the market now that can store up to 16 times the amount this card can. However, the card is cheap and is still a very reliable and fast card for use perhaps as a backup or overflow card.... Read review

Sandisk have a good reputation in developing flash memory cards so I thought I would go for this. With my digital camera I had a supplied 1GB card which to be honest isn't much when taking high resolution photos, it fill up pretty quick. The Sandisk SD card is a good size at 4GB storage. It also has ESP technology which basically allows data on the card to be accessed quicker. This is great for fast loading especially when taking photos with a digital camera, as the last thing you want is to wait 1 min to just see the photos you just shot. I have had the Sandisk Extreme III 4GB compact flash card for about two six months and have taken about 300 hi-resolution pictures during this perios. It has worked fine in a variety of weather conditions. According to the manufacturers guide, Sandisk Extreme III Compact Flash cards are tested in extreme temperature ranges from -13 to +185 degrees Fahrenheit) so It should continue to work fine in hot or cold climates . It will take you a while to use up this 4GB card that should hold nearly 2000 quality photographs with your average 5 megapixel camera nowadays. Disadvantages: Not as fast as the slightly more expensive Ultra II

This however is expensive, and is really if you use data hungry software on your pocket pc, or if you are a professional photographer. The addition of recovery software in the pack, make SanDisk worth the extra few pounds from the competitors. Each card undergoes thorough testing and is guaranteed for 10 years. Hello, many thanks for your comments for the SanDisk card. Because prices keep changing, I initially did not include the price of the cards in the review. However I paid 75 pounds (should of cost at least double) for the Ultra Disk II back in January last year which you have to admit is a very good price. The company has now gone bankrupt!! As a professional photographer I have used countless different memory cards of all shapes and sizes and if anything is going to let you down on a very hectic shoot its most likely to be your memory card not reacting with the camera fast enough. Enter the SANDISK EXTREME III, yesterday I used this SD memory card for the first time with two different cameras during shoots for model portfolios and for the first time ever I have found a card that can keep up with a top of the range DSLR camera and a top of the range flash gun. In the old days the holdup used to be for either the film to roll on or the flash to recharge but these days the only hold up you get during a professional shoot is a very slight split second time out... ...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. It incorporates most of the latest features and technology that is currently available on the market. Unfortunately it contributes significantly to global warming. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore would recommend the product. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need. ...SanDisk Cruzer Snap This has quite a cool funky design and would probably appeal to younger people or just people who want their USB stick for more than a portable storage device. I personally would be too bothered what my USB device looks like as I use quite a lot of them and seem to get through so many of them, most of which I loose, so paying a bit extra for a funky design wouldn't really be something id do. Sandisk are well known for computing and mainly for their different flash drives they do. They make a lot of them ranging from ones that are extremely portable. To the ones that look really cool like this one here. It does come with a bundle of different software on it, which is good if you want to use it.
