...Although this mp3 player is only 1" diagonally what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality and features. I found this product so simple to use that i would recommend it for younger or less experienced users. Features include a built in microphone and a built in fm tuner as well as a handy clip which can be clipped onto virtually anything making it the ideal compact mp3 player for anybody on the move. Installing the mp3 player onto my laptop and pc was very easy and uploading music was very fast. 1gb is the perfect size to hold music as well as picture and text documents. I would also recommend this for anyone looking for excellent sound quality and value for money....

Look into the blue light! Sandisk Sansa M240 1 GB MP3 Player

Advantages: great sound quality, plenty of functions, simple, easy to use, nice display colour!
Disadvantages: occasional 'crashes', mine won't transfer files any more :-(

...About three or possibly even four years ago I bought a Sandisk Sansa M240 1 GB mp3 player from Amazon, it was quite a bargain price, seemed pretty simple and straightforward, which was ideal for me as I had never had one before, and didn't require many bells and whistles, and it came with all the headphones, cables, and driver disks you need to begin use. Mine also came with a clear silicon case to protect it. It is light, it is small, and it works well. For a budget mp3 player I found this terrific, and the sound quality is actually pretty good too. I hooked it up to my pc with the supplied cable, and copied over a my Learn German series so I could listen to them anywhere, learning the language subliminally perhaps, and this has also worked very well. The player will accept MP3 and WMA (these are the only formats I use) With WMA files, I have achieved approx 350 tracks on the 1GB memory. Playing time on a single AAA battery is approx 15 -18 hours, which is pretty good. Sandisk would have done better by building in a rechargable battery into this player. However, having a changable battery makes it more flexible if you're away from a computer for a long time. The battery cover is a little flimsy for my liking. Don't get me wrong, it won't fall off, but i would keep the player in the supplied plastic cover jus to be safe. ...The Sansa Clip is a small mp3 player, but in my opinion is better than others the same size, such as the i pod shuffle. Its small, stylish and black and has a clip on the back so is perfect for the gym or walking about. It also has a small display screen on the front. I tend to listen to the radio alot, which on this player is easy to tune in and gets great reception, you can also reset a number of stations which is handy. I found it easy to upload music. It comes with a cable, once connected its shows in my computer and you can just drag music across. Finally, SanDisk have included a memory card slot so that extra memory can be used apart from the built-in 1GB of the product itself. Who Should I Buy it for? The product is aimed at children - which i think is great due to its affordable price. It is also quite robust - evidently designed to bear the brunt of being thrown around by kids. Yet, i can see this being used by adults on the move as well. Sure, the colours are a bit childish - but this is perfect for commuting or going for a jog. Definitely consider this for your favourite nephew's next birthday or Christmas....

...I have a pet hate when it comes to Ipods, so when my old MP3 player finally gave up the ghost I replaced it with this sandisc sansa clip 8GB. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it's proving to be a handy little device. It is small, good looking, lightweight and holds a fair amount of music. Setup was easy (just plug into a computer and go), with a good 'drag and drop' option for transferring files. The fact that it's compatible with Windows Media Player is also a bonus. The menu is basic, but still clear to read, and radio is as good at the one on my mobile and the controls are easy to use. The main drawback is probably the need to recharge it with a USB port ? though you can get adaptors (I'm currently using the LUPO USB Power adapter mains charger UK) The USB cable itself is also rather short, but it hasn't proven to be too...

Sandisk Sansa...........Ipod beater

Advantages: Much easier to use than ipod/itunes, better sound, better software

...Prior to purchasing this MP3 player, I had an ipod nano. I didn't dislike the ipod, but I hated itunes. I find it amazing that Apple have gone out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to add or remove music from an MP3 player. The Sansa on the other hand is simplicity itself, when it is plugged into your computer, it is seen as any other storage device, and music is added or removed by simply sending music to the item, or deleting it, simple! One of the really good things about the Sansa, is that it has a slot for a micro SD card, I have a 2GB card installed, which boosts the memory to 6GB for only the cost of the card. Unfortunately, my Sansa being a couple of years old, will not accept the newer and larger SDHC card, so 2GB is my maximum, I do not know if the newer Sansa's take the SDHC card, but if they do, these cards...
