SanDisk Sansa Fuze

Advantages: Good quality sound, nice design, cheap
Disadvantages: dull plastic cover, plain menu

...Product description The SanDisk Sansa Fuze is a good quality mp3 player with built in FM radio, photo viewer and video playback. It is simiilar in design to an iPod but is a much more affordable player. The Design This is quite a small mps player as it measures around 3 inches long by 2 inches wide. It isn't as thin as some though and is around a third of an inch thick. The fact that the width is two thirds of the length gives it a bit of a fat oval look that may out some people off. However, It fits comfortably in your hand and feels more "solid" than some of the thinner, smaller mp3's available. A main design point that stands out is the clickable, scroll wheel. These are appearing on many cheap iPod rip offs and used to be put me off because they made them look cheap and unreliable. This is not the case with the Fuze...

Sansa Fuze is Fun to Use!

Advantages: Small, cheap, capacity can be expanded, radio record feature
Disadvantages: Only supplied with USB charger, no clip, have to use their software to upload videos and photos

...you started but the main user manual is on the CD-ROM. So what are the features of this little beauty? It plays MP3s, WMA, secure WMA, Ogg Vorbis and Audible audio file formats. It also plays MPEG-4 videos and you can add JPEG photos, although you have to use the Sansa Media Converter software to add these files to your player, unlike MP3s which you can add directly to it. It has a 1.9" screen to view the videos and photos on and this screen is surprisingly sharp given the size. The player also has an FM radio and voice recording and crucially for me, it can hold another 8GB through a Micro SD card - this was what made me decide to buy the player as it means the memory can be expanded to 12GB in total which will hopefully keep my daughter happy for a while. I found the entire player very straightforward to set up - you start by...

Sandisk Sansa...........Ipod beater

Advantages: Much easier to use than ipod/itunes, better sound, better software
Disadvantages: Not as many accessories as ipod

...stations. I use my Sansa at home, plugged into my hifi via a 3.5mm audio cable from the players earphone socket, into a Line In input on my hifi, this works just fine, however I have just ordered a Sansa Docking Station (£32), which keeps the Sansa charged, and comes with it's own remote control, so you can change tracks etc without having to touch the player. Overall, very highly recommended, and far superior to ipod nano. Recently replaced my 4gb Sansa with a new 8gb Version 2 model, main difference being that 'V2' models can take the newer High Capacity micro SD cards, so I have an 8gb card in mine, giving an overall capacity of 16gb, brilliant. I love these players. Update on the docking station, it works brilliantly, let down slightly by the poor quality 3.5mm to 2 phono cable to connect the item to a hifi. I have replaced this...

sandisk sansa e260

Advantages: battery life, reliability, recording features, screen......etc.
Disadvantages: only one disadvantage - no fm radio

...I have had my sandisk sansa e260 for almost 2 years, and I still love it! It is really easy to use, and has proved to be a solid, reliable player; it has never crashed at all unlike friends i-pods. Battery life if very good, as is the sound quality. It also plays back videos very well- which is helped by the size of the screen. The recording feature, through its inbuilt microphone is very handy.-and is much better than can be found on many other items such as mobile phones. Recordings sound clear. The only thing that the player needs is an Fm radio, which wasnt available on the UK version when i bought it. Overall this player has been one of my best purchases, and when (if) it does eventually break, i will definitely replace it with another Sandisk Sansa....

Sansa Clip performs

Advantages: Read the review
Disadvantages: Read the review

...SanDisk enjoys a position of great reputation for churning out cost competitive memory chips and portable audios. But Sansas has really any reputation to boast of in terms audio quality but surprisingly and encouraging they have been producing progressively getting better probably reaching its pick with the release of Sansa Clip 2 GB. It?s SanDisk?s latest addition to the supercomact low capacity MP3 player to take the consumer market by storm. What sets apart Sansa Clip 2 GB from the rest of its releases is its amazing sound quality. It is true that it has to face high level competition from Shuffle and some Creative Lab products but it has the class and muscle power to give them a run for their money, probably notches behind Apple. It?s price tag is remarkable compared to its peers. The Sansa Clip has a very respectable signal to...

Delightful little Sansa Clip

Advantages: small, lightweight, stylish
Disadvantages: USB charged, keeps hiding at the bottom of my bag.

...I have a pet hate when it comes to Ipods, so when my old MP3 player finally gave up the ghost I replaced it with this sandisc sansa clip 8GB. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it's proving to be a handy little device. It is small, good looking, lightweight and holds a fair amount of music. Setup was easy (just plug into a computer and go), with a good 'drag and drop' option for transferring files. The fact that it's compatible with Windows Media Player is also a bonus. The menu is basic, but still clear to read, and radio is as good at the one on my mobile and the controls are easy to use. The main drawback is probably the need to recharge it with a USB port ? though you can get adaptors (I'm currently using the LUPO USB Power adapter mains charger UK) The USB cable itself is also rather short, but it hasn't proven to be too...

SanDisk's answer to an iPod Alternative

Advantages: Good battery life, good playback, easy navigation, nice design, MicroSD slot
Disadvantages: Wheel is a bit cheap and tacky

...INTRO I bought myself a SanDisk Sansa View (16GB version) because I found my previous MP3 / Video player a bit too bulky and heavy (Creative Zen Vision M 60GB) to carry around. I figured I was hardly using any of the storage anyway so thought a 16GB alternative would suffice. I didn?t want to be tied into iTunes to transfer music to the device so an Apple iPod was out of the question. This one cost me £103 from Amazon. The Sansa View comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GBcapacities. All have a MicroSD memory card slot so you could add some more memory should the need arise. Not sure if it supports cards of more than 8GB though. It has a good amount of storage without the memory upgrade, which can be used for music, videos and any other file with maybe a size restriction of up to 4GB due to the file system (the format the drive is...

SanDisk Clip... a great little mp3 player!

Advantages: Easy to use, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: Bad quality headohones

...I brought the SanDisk Sansa Clip 2gb black about 3 months ago from Amazon for £34.99 including postage and packaging. Its is very small, just 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. It has a small display screen at the top, with blue and yellow text. The lower half of the device has a dial with play, pause, fast forward, rewind and stop. The volume controls and on/off and hold buttons are on the side. It came in a box with the mp3 player, headphones, pc connecting cable and instructions. I shopped around before buying as I wanted a small mp3 player, but didn't want to spend too much money. I considered the i pod shuffle, but decided against it as I didn't like the fact it had no screen. This is what attracted me to the SanDisk, and the fact that it is so easy to use. It has 2gb memory, I have put quite a lot of music on it...

My Sandisk Ultra II 4GB

Advantages: Fast, Cheap
Disadvantages: Lack of backwards compatability

...I bought the Sandisk Ultra II 4GB card after purchasing my new 14.6mp camera, which produces RAW files of around 12-14mb! I clearly needed an upgrade because my older 2GB SD cards could only store 70 photos. I wanted a card that would combine speed, capacity, and value for money - and so I landed at the Class 4 Sandisk SDHC Ultra II 4GB card. I've had experience with Sandisk before, and wanted to stick with them especially after I found out that this card has a lifetime limited warranty, and has been tested to be compatible with a large range of high-end digital cameras. The Sandisk Ultra II SDHC 4GB card (Which I will now refer to as "The card" to save any confusion), has read speeds of 10mb/sec, and write speeds of 9mb/sec, producing an excellent performance on my camera. Previously when I used my older 2GB card, I didnt have...

Sansa Fuze - An Excellent Player for under £60

Advantages: Cheap, Small, Excellent music quality and easy to use
Disadvantages: Screen is small due to the size of the player but fine to watch short videos on.

...At a glance:- * Size: 3.1 x 1.9 x 0.3 in - A very small mp3 player- It can easily fit in the palm of my hand and is very thin and light in weight. Excellent for taking to the gym as it is so small and light. * Capacities: 2GB, 4GB, 8GB (microSD slot) - I bought the 4GB Sansa with an extra 4GB microSD card. The card was only ~£7 to buy and easily slotted into the side of the player doubling the capacity of the machine. It is possible to buy a few of these cards so you can store your films on them and carry them around in a case so when you want to watch them you have it there with you stored on a tiny card. * Screen: 1.9?, 64k color, 224x176 pixel - The screen is excellent quality and is great for watching films on. However, it is quite small but then the player is small so that's the compromise. * Audio: MP3, WMA...
