...in my big hand, a tiny thing will be not a good choice for me. The meny is comfortable to navigate, i had no issues with it. I was surprised by the good sound of my player. I like various music, but all genres of it were reproduced precisely. Great advantage for is that there is no need to use iTunes with this mp3 player. Before Sansa I had iPod with iTunes. The software - iTunes were not comfortable for me, i couldn't organize my music the way i like. When i got Sansa I was so happy that I didn't need any special soft. 2. Disadvantages I think the player looks a bit plastic comparing to other brands like iPod or Creative Zen. Probably it's because of combination of black and blue colors. Sansa e280- cheaper alternative to the iPod?

Advantages: Size, 8GB memory, great menu system, EQ, Photo function, music sorting
Disadvantages: Video quality, album art function is lacking

...The Sansa e280 is a fantastic little MP3 player on first impressions. The player is stylish, and has a fantastic menu layout. However I must get the small amount of flaws out of the way first; the videos lack quality and are fuzzy, so if you want this especially for videos, maybe look at a Creative or an iPod. Also, album art is a bit tricky to add, which may be my computer's problem but I've seen other people online have a problem with it too. Apart from that, this product is superb. With it's 8GB of memory, a large music library can be added to it and taken around stylishly. Also, it has a nice photo function, and the photos look very high quality. All in all, it's a fantastic MP3 player in my opinion, just some niggling things that don't make it as fully accomplished as an iPod. But if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, go...

Sandisk 8gb - what a little beauty!

Advantages: Sleek design, great image quality, expandable memory

Sansa's small mp3 player makes a big splash

Advantages: Big detailed sound, lots of features, lots of volume, the price
Disadvantages: Only to be bought as a present for someone else if you have a better one

...'s more, unlike some mp3 players, you definitely won't be wishing for more volume, this is enough to block out most annoying background sounds and allow you to fully appreciate the music. This is a bargain and with a storage capacity of 8gb will allow you to fit on thousands of your mp3 players. The process of deleting and transferring more songs via a usb cable, is very smooth and efficient. This is definitely recommended especially for those after something impressive but not threatening to break the bank. Summary: Superb mp3 player which puts much more costly ones in their place...

Sandisk Sansa...........Ipod beater

Advantages: Much easier to use than ipod/itunes, better sound, better software
Disadvantages: Not as many accessories as ipod

I use my Sansa at home, plugged into my hifi via a 3.5mm audio cable from the players earphone socket, into a Line In input on my hifi, this works just fine, however I have just ordered a Sansa Docking Station (£32), which keeps the Sansa charged, and comes with it's own remote control, so you can change tracks etc without having to touch the player. Overall, very highly recommended, and far superior to ipod nano. Recently replaced my 4gb Sansa with a new 8gb Version 2 model, main difference being that 'V2' models can take the newer High Capacity micro SD cards, so I have an 8gb card in mine, giving an overall capacity of 16gb, brilliant. I love these players. Update on the docking station, it works brilliantly, let down slightly by the poor quality 3.5mm to 2 phono cable to connect the item to a hifi. I have replaced this...

Advantages: battery life, reliability, recording features, screen......etc.
Disadvantages: only one disadvantage - no fm radio

...I have had my sandisk sansa e260 for almost 2 years, and I still love it! It is really easy to use, and has proved to be a solid, reliable player; it has never crashed at all unlike friends i-pods. Battery life if very good, as is the sound quality. It also plays back videos very well- which is helped by the size of the screen. The recording feature, through its inbuilt microphone is very handy.-and is much better than can be found on many other items such as mobile phones. Recordings sound clear. The only thing that the player needs is an Fm radio, which wasnt available on the UK version when i bought it. Overall this player has been one of my best purchases, and when (if) it does eventually break, i will definitely replace it with another Sandisk Sansa....

Delightful little Sansa Clip

...I have a pet hate when it comes to Ipods, so when my old MP3 player finally gave up the ghost I replaced it with this sandisc sansa clip 8GB. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it's proving to be a handy little device. It is small, good looking, lightweight and holds a fair amount of music. Setup was easy (just plug into a computer and go), with a good 'drag and drop' option for transferring files. The fact that it's compatible with Windows Media Player is also a bonus. The menu is basic, but still clear to read, and radio is as good at the one on my mobile and the controls are easy to use. The main drawback is probably the need to recharge it with a USB port ? though you can get adaptors (I'm currently using the LUPO USB Power adapter mains charger UK) The USB cable itself is also rather short, but it hasn't proven to be too...

A Superior MP3 Player To The iPod?

Advantages: Great styling, easy to navigate, and good features
Disadvantages: Can be slow in some stuations

...and have now realised that my computer will only detect the device if you connect it to the computer when it is already turned off. If it is turned on when you connect the cable it will only charge the device. Once this problem was solved the synchronising option was very easy to use; all you have to do is click 'start sync' under the sync tab in WMP and the whole library will be added to the device in a few minutes, depending on its size. However the e280 will only work with WMP 10 and above, which are free to download online if you do not already have them. Videos are also added to the device in a different way. In order for the e280 to play the videos they must be converted into a format the device can play by using the Sansa Media Converter software that comes bundled with the e280.
