It isn't as thin as some though and is around a third of an inch thick. The fact that the width is two thirds of the length gives it a bit of a fat oval look that may out some people off. However, It fits comfortably in your hand and feels more "solid" than some of the thinner, smaller mp3's available. A main design point that stands out is the clickable, scroll wheel. SanDisk's answer to an iPod Alternative

Advantages: Good battery life, good playback, easy navigation, nice design, MicroSD slot

...INTRO I bought myself a SanDisk Sansa View (16GB version) because I found my previous MP3 / Video player a bit too bulky and heavy (Creative Zen Vision M 60GB) to carry around. I figured I was hardly using any of the storage anyway so thought a 16GB alternative would suffice. I didn?t want to be tied into iTunes to transfer music to the device so an Apple iPod was out of the question. This one cost me £103 from Amazon. The Sansa View comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GBcapacities. Disadvantages: If anything, you can't choose your own wallpaper. Hardly a massive problem!

...it charges when you are adding content via the USB cable, it tends to top it up quite well, so it's been rare I've found it with no charge (even after a week of travelling). Adding space - you can also add an extra 8Gb by inserting a mini-SD card. I've used the card I have for my phone, and it works fine. Shows all the photos I've taken and the music I have stored. Will probably buy a card for it when I reach the 16GB limit, but that won't be for a bit! Good bits - feels nice in your hand, looks nice when you turn it on and the lights come on, easy to use, expandable memory, excellent value Bad (ish bits) - can't use own backdrop, no mains charger, comes with some content on it that can't be deleted (pics, tunes etc), headphones supplied are a bit rubbish...

Delightful little Sansa Clip

...I have a pet hate when it comes to Ipods, so when my old MP3 player finally gave up the ghost I replaced it with this sandisc sansa clip 8GB. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it's proving to be a handy little device. It is small, good looking, lightweight and holds a fair amount of music. Setup was easy (just plug into a computer and go), with a good 'drag and drop' option for transferring files. The fact that it's compatible with Windows Media Player is also a bonus. The menu is basic, but still clear to read, and radio is as good at the one on my mobile and the controls are easy to use. The main drawback is probably the need to recharge it with a USB port ? though you can get adaptors (I'm currently using the LUPO USB Power adapter mains charger UK) The USB cable itself is also rather short, but it hasn't proven to be too...

This is a bargain and with a storage capacity of 8gb will allow you to fit on thousands of your mp3 players. The process of deleting and transferring more songs via a usb cable, is very smooth and efficient. ...Although this mp3 player is only 1" diagonally what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality and features. I found this product so simple to use that i would recommend it for younger or less experienced users. Features include a built in microphone and a built in fm tuner as well as a handy clip which can be clipped onto virtually anything making it the ideal compact mp3 player for anybody on the move. Installing the mp3 player onto my laptop and pc was very easy and uploading music was very fast. 1gb is the perfect size to hold music as well as picture and text documents. I would also recommend this for anyone looking for excellent sound quality and value for money....

...I brought the SanDisk Sansa Clip 2gb black about 3 months ago from Amazon for £34.99 including postage and packaging. Its is very small, just 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. It has a small display screen at the top, with blue and yellow text. The lower half of the device has a dial with play, pause, fast forward, rewind and stop. The volume controls and on/off and hold buttons are on the side. It came in a box with the mp3 player, headphones, pc connecting cable and instructions. I shopped around before buying as I wanted a small mp3 player, but didn't want to spend too much money. I considered the i pod shuffle, but decided against it as I didn't like the fact it had no screen. This is what attracted me to the SanDisk, and the fact that it is so easy to use. ...you started but the main user manual is on the CD-ROM. So what are the features of this little beauty? It plays MP3s, WMA, secure WMA, Ogg Vorbis and Audible audio file formats. It also plays MPEG-4 videos and you can add JPEG photos, although you have to use the Sansa Media Converter software to add these files to your player, unlike MP3s which you can add directly to it. It has a 1.9" screen to view the videos and photos on and this screen is surprisingly sharp given the size. The player also has an FM radio and voice recording and crucially for me, it can hold another 8GB through a Micro SD card - this was what made me decide to buy the player as it means the memory can be expanded to 12GB in total which will hopefully keep my daughter happy for a while.
