Oh, Yes!

Advantages: Some decent tracks and some fun videos
Disadvantages: Quite expensive for the far superior enhanced version

..."Do What You Want", it's a very bouncy and energetic up-tempo pop-rock song with a lovely driving bass line and even without that impressive video, it would still be one of my favourite tracks on the album. There's a much heavier, but no less driving bass line over "A Good Idea at the Time". The indie-pop feel is back here and the tempo drops a little from the earlier tracks. It's another one that seems to have a nod towards They Might Be Giants and whilst it may not be quite as good musically as the couple of tracks preceding it, there's a sense of fun to the song thanks to some of the lyrics. Unfortunately, things drop off a little for "Oh Lately, it's so Quiet", which reminds me of much of their previous album. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. The Alibi, Sandra Brown - A real page turner!!

Advantages: A very good reader
Disadvantages: You may not be able to put it down!

...Sandra Brown is my favourite author so whilst I'm always a little biased when I read one of her novels, I am very rarely disappointed and I wasn't this time either. The novel is extremely well crafted and has several twists to the tale that you don't see coming. You think you have it sussed then something happens to pull the rug from underneath you. Brown's characters are always so believable and from start to finish you're rooting for them to come through. The Alibi centres around a District Attorney called Hammond Cross who is prosecuting a murder case. His case hinges around the prime suspect's alibi and Cross' growing attraction to her. Can he trust her or is she not all she seems? Crime fans and Brown fans won't be disappointed and whilst not as good my favourite Brown novel 'Hello ,Darkness' it does come very close....

Oh So Fishy

...I have 3 cats - 1 is 14, 1 is 6, and 1 is just over a year old. All of them are fussy little things and I have to change their food on a regular basis to keep them happy because they quickly get bored of the same ones, and also the 14 year old has a tendancy to throw up with some brands of food but not others, so I have to be careful what I give him. The only food I've found so far that they all like all of the time is Whiskas Oh So Fishy pouches. They come in a pack of 12 85g pouches for around £4. Each pouch contains one meal for one cat, so I can't afford to give them these all the time, but I like to always have some in and give them as an occasional treat or when they decide they don't like their current food. This Fishy selection has 3 tuna, 3 sardine, 3 salmon and 3 cod flavour pouches. They are all made with whole pieces...
