What a cracker of a cheese sandwich!

Advantages: Mild flavours, great textures, moorish
Disadvantages: leaves your mouth really dry; crumble everywhere

...Having reviewed the 'Ritz cheese sandwich cracker' (see my review) I did find myself wondering what the difference was to a Jacobs Tuc Cheese cracker and as Jacobs TUC cheese sandwich crackers were on offer at 2 for £1 (150g pack) I seized the opportunity. There are obvious differences. Firstly, TUC cheese sandwich crackers are a 6.5cm by 4.5cm oblong shaped biscuits as opposed to the round RITZ ones, though they are also indented with lots of little holes on the surface. They are quite greasy to touch and there aer little bits of salt on the surface of the crackers. The crackers are quite thick and delicate, held together by a smooth creamy cheese filling. The filling is thicker than that of a RITZ. On taking a cheese cracker biscuit out, I can immediately smell the processed cheesy smell like dairylea but a bit stronger. There...

Heinz Sandwich Spread - 'Tis tasty

...I first started to use Heinz sandwich spread about 30 years ago when I was a student. I bought it when I was on a backpacking holiday in Cornwall. When I taste it nowadays it brings back the wonderful memories of my walk round the Cornish coastal paths. I would make up the sandwiches in the early morning and then put a yoghurt in the lunch box, walk for 4-5 hours and then sit in some spectaular location in Cornwall and devour the sandwiches. ...Sandwiches are perhaps my biggest down fall. If ever offered a sandwich or a slice of toast, I will most definitely jump at the chance and accept the offer with pleasure. He finds some real bargain and it means that the rest of the family get to try things that we would normally be too tight to buy if they were full price. Review of Tesco Cheese and Spring Onion Sandwich Filler

Super sandwich!

Advantages: Tastes great, lower in fat and calories.
Disadvantages: Needs to be used within two days of opening.

...My other half always takes sandwiches with him to work and we have a cooked meal at night when he gets home. Usually we buy ham, chicken and beef for these but he has become really bored with these and wanted a change. I suggested the usual suspects, cheese, tuna and egg but he didn't want smelly egg sandwiches and tuna mayo can go soggy and cheese isn't something you want every day is it. We shop on-line with Tesco as the supermarket is too far to walk and getting a taxi would cost just as much as the delivery charges. ...I purchased an asda smart price sandwich toaster when i bought my new home. As a non-essential item, this was not high on my list of purchases when I had toasters, kettles etc to buy. However, I couldn't resist purchasing this when I noticed the price, very cheap and worth a go I thought. I don't use it regularly but when I do, it does the job as well as any other (and more expensive!) sandwich toaster I have used. It's not advanced, it works exactly as you would expect. It lights up when it's warm enough to toast and then you are away! Toasting two sandwiches at a time. It can be messy, depending on what you put in your sandwiches, and the bread can stick a bit but this is a problem I have always had with sandwich toasters, not exclusively with this one!
