Quality projector, features for the user

Advantages: User friendly, Bright and good quality
Disadvantages: A recommended 3 metres from the screen or wall etc

...you can flip or rotate the picture to be the right way up, even if the image would normally be upside down). There are plenty of sockets and connectors. You can connect the standard data cable (or VGA - Visual Graphics Array) to your laptop from the projector. You get audio and video sockets, which can be used to connect your VCR, DVD, etc upto it to have your own home cinema. The audio quality is fantastic and because it is either at the front or above your head you get a strong quality from the projector. I have to say that Sanyo projector is quiet, well quieter than most projectors. You still get the fan noise, but isn't to bad. Overall I would recommend this projector not so much on cost, but the features and useability....

...No hanging around with a flowery introduction - let's get straight to the point. Great functionality - easy to set-up - superb brightness. Expensive - poor sound. In a nutshell those are the positive and negative points of this projector. For my overall opinion, read through to the end. First of all allow me to explain the title for those that are not aware of keystone correction. 'Keystone' has to be the most bizarre term doing the rounds in technology today and if anybody can use their language skills and explain a little etymology of the word I would appreciate it as I have no idea where it comes from. A data projector can be positioned absolutely in front of the screen, or above the screen shining down or below the screen shining up. I work at the Chengdu EF school in China and have previously worked as a language teacher in Europe. The school in Chengdu is very well-resourced and the management are very open to all suggestions as they want the best both for teachers and students. There are many students and a very positive atmosphere both for teachers and students. I have received a good apartment, flights and wages as part of my work deal and the working conditions are excellent. This obviously makes for happy teachers and by extension happy contended students. The irony is that I worked for EF 20 years ago in Edinburgh when I left University and cherish many fond memories of that time. The courses are well structured...

Canon EF-S 18-55mm Zoom Lens

Advantages: Cheap and light
Disadvantages: Grainy photo quality, low zoom

...I recently purchased a sweet Canon 400D/XTi Rebel from Amazon.co.uk (£45 cashback!) and this standard zoom lens (Canon EF-S 18-55mm) came with it. As far as I know, you cannot purchase the Canon EF-S 18-5mm on it's own, as it's designed specifically to be sold with the 400D/XTi Rebel package. I'm sure you can pick up a cheap one on eBay though (probably removed from a kit package, or being sold due to an upgrade from kit package). I've seen the EF-S 18-55mm sell for around £25-£35 at undamaged/rarely used condition on eBay, which is quite cheap! I obviously chose the kit lens package with my 400D/XTi Rebel as it only adds about £40 in the price difference, and I couldn't afford a new lens at that time. Before I start reviewing the actual lens, I'd like to say that is is a kit lens. It doesn't have a great built quality...

...Having owned and used my Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-f/4.5 USM zoom lens for around 15 to 18 months I feel that it is in many ways, quite an exceptional lens. Effectively covering the versatile full-frame equivalent 16-35mm zoom lens, it is a valuable addition to anyone's kit. Being an EF-S lens (the 'S' standing for 'Short' back-focus), it is designed for use ONLY with cameras having APS-C size sensors. Don't attempt to fit one to a full-frame DSLR or 35mm SLR camera. Such lenses have reduced image circles and produce vignetting on full-frame or 35mm cameras. Furthermore, the rear lens element could get hit by the reflex mirror, causing serious damage. With a maximum aperture of f/3.5 at the widest end and f/4.5 at the more moderate end of the zoom range, the lens is not 'fast' by any stretch of the imagination. However...
