Advantages: Have plenty of USB ports at any time
Disadvantages: Can be a bit of a pain when it comes to the power supply.

...It seems like ages ago that I had a PC that did not have enough USB ports and the two that it did have were discreetly hidden around the back of the tower. At first this was not a problem as I hardly ever used the USB ports. As my computer grew so did the need to access these USB ports, this soon became an annoyance as I kept having to turn the tower around to access the ports and plug another device in, this also meant sacrificing whatever was in the port at that time. I began thinking the only choice I would have would be to get a new PC that had four USB ports, two of which now seemed to be positioned on the front of the towers of the newer computers. Its shaped like a noodle and about 9 inches tall. Its very slim. Because it pivots forwards and backwards on the base its easy to adjust. The base has a button to turn it on and off. I actually didn't consider really the brand name as I had never really heard of Treakstor before and wasn't one hundred percent sure if they were reliable. However when I bought it in Currys last year and they had on offer many different memory capacities, ranging from 512Mb to 16Gb. About It Bascially 8GB can hold around 2,000 songs, 1,200-2,000 photos (depending on size of photos) and 4 hours of video. I trudged down to my local PC world and paid a little money for a 1.8 meter Belkin Pro Series USB Extension Cable and was very very happy with it when I got home. It is very well made with a nice thick rubber protective rapping over the wire inside so unless you cut it with a knife its not going to be damaged if you full on it a little or even a allot. It supports all standard USB ports with its well made male plug (the bit that goes into the computer) and on the other end of the cable has a nice thick female port (the bit that you will stick your USB device in) I have had no problems with this cable at all, it doesn't suffer from any lag and because it has a thick cable it doesn't snap or damage if you catch it with you feet while its laying...

...I recently bought a Belkin wireless adaptor when I went into a house share and needed to have the internet. I use the internet but I know little about the technical side of things. I paid £19.99 for the adaptor in PC world who only had Belkin at the time which I thought was not expensive. However installing it was a nightmare. The 3 easy steps on the box seemed so easy; Install the software, plug the adaptor into a USB PORT - start networking! If only it was that simple. Every time my computer searched for a network it crashed. I phoned the Belkin company who took me step by step through the technical part and still we could not get internet. Eventually the Belkin assistant told my for some reason my computer was not recognising the new network. Being increasingly frustrated I considered taking the adaptor back for a refund...
