...I brought this Camcorder recently and i was very impress with it because it's very light, fits right in the hand of your palm and gives you great pictures.Other the other hand when you are recording it shakes a bit which isn't an ideal camcorder.The main thing is that this camcorder recorders onto a SD card which will save you a lot of money because you can record films and take pictures and then transfer it onto a CD and delete it off the SD card and re use the card over and over again instead of buying tapes. Unfortunately this camera doesn't broadcast HD but if you have a 720p screen the video images look good as a HD picture.The pictures are quite clear as well and 10 mega pixel for still image and 7.38 mega pixel for recording, it has a brilliant optical zoom of 5x....

Sanyo Xacti E60 - Style and substance !

Advantages: Great image quality. 3 x Internal optical lens. Impressive 3 inch screen.
Disadvantages: Average and limited flash.

...The sanyo Xacti E60 is the successor to the popular E6 - but the few additional functions make this a useful and desirable ultra compact camera to own ! As with the E6 - the 3 inch screen and 3 x konica minolta non-protruding optical lens are excellent ! The menu system is simple to navigate, it takes SD cards and the movie mode is great quality (if not a little greedy on memory !). The ultra fast touch sensitive focus shutter is clever and the camera can talk you through various stages to get your perfect picture - yes it talks to you ! So what's new ? ...The first thing you will notice about this Sanyo digital camera is the odd looking design, it doesn?t look like a conventional camera but more like a television show laser gun. When you hold this camera, for me at least, I feel kind of odd and out of place. I would think Sanyo tried taking a brave step but for me and a few others I have talked to, it hasn?t worked. The camera itself is 3.2 mega pixels which in this day and age is not digital camera quality anymore, they have better cameras on mobile phones now, but in terms of quality it does produce visible pictures with a fair amount of details but this isn?t a camera if you are looking to take photography semi seriously, it?s more something you would use for a quick snap. Sanyo CG65 - A Jack of All Trades, Master of None!

Advantages: Excellent Form Factor, Fairly Decent Stills, Voice Guidance , Good Video In Good Lighting.
Disadvantages: Poor Quality in Low Light, Battery life Could be Better!

...for capturing those irreplacable, life - bending moments such as babys first steps, daughters first words etc, since the video quality just isn't up there. Good fun, the voice that speaks with this camcorder is also gimmicky yet fun (yes. she can be turned off thank goodness), and the whole package is fairly attractive provided you can score it for under £200 or so. If you're looking to go more futureproof, I've heard the Sanyo HD1 or HD2 models (which record into High Definition) have much better tolerance for low light situations all round. Its your call, i've given my honest opinion, but I'll have you know i took it back the day after and had a full refund from jessops, since for £250 i still felt fairly cheated for a jack of all trades device which is a master of certainly none. Good for fun, the odd shot, video outdoors, but otherwise...

An Excellent Compact Camera - Excellent Value for Money

Advantages: Excellent Image Quality, Simple Menu

...An excellent compact "single hand" camera that takes good quality still images and videos. I bought this camera more specifically to videos without the problems of weight that you usually get with ordinary video cameras. I was surprised just how light this feels whilst in use, without lacking a sense of solidity at the same time. The built in image stabiliser does a reasonable job of keeping the images still but it does not overcome all camera shake. However, better that nothing! The videos are not HD but offer a good level of image quality and are more than compensated for with the lower purchase price of this model compared to the HD Xacti range. If you want TOP quality videos, this model will not do for you and you would be well advised to invest in the more expensive models available, however the overall video performance was...

Freeview HD

Advantages: Good quality reception, plenty of channels avalible
Disadvantages: Expensive, limited HD channels so far

...with it is the limted HD reception, admitedly it does look a lot better than normal digital. But it may just be the area i am in but i only have 1 dedicated HD channel. The rest have to be found by using the red button on the normal show. And even then the only HD tv seems to be football or tennis, admitedly for me it is not a bad thing. Im sure the variety can only get better though. Maybe doesn`t justify the expensive but is a solid all round freeview box....
