Sapphire's Radeon 7000...What a gem!

Advantages: Fantastic budget card.
Disadvantages: Limited overclocking facilities. Fails to run the latest titles.

...Last December, I was assigned the task of building a low -cost PC for a relative. With only a maximum of 35 pounds to spend on a video card my choice was limited. I finally opted for Sapphire's version of the Ati Radeon 7000 model. It cost about 28 pounds at the time, and is possibly the finest budget card I've come across. One of its main advantages is its stability, I used a tool called Riva Tuner to overclock it somewhat, the heatsink handled it fine! Sadly though, the overclocking didn't produce any marked improvement, the only benefit being a slight increase of frame rate on Counter-Strike and Medal of Honour: Allied Assualt. This aside, the card is fantastic for the price. It runs popular games such as Counterstrike (Non-source of course) aswell as any game predating the year 2002. However, it doesn't run more recent...

Review of Sapphire RADEON X1950 PRO

Life in the old dog yet, but soon to be put down.

Advantages: Unrivalled performance for AGP until recently.
Disadvantages: The world has moved on, only DirectX 9 compliant.

...I was the first of my friends to buy a 64-bit processor, and still use my Athlon 64 today. Now my friends are going full hog in replacing the major components of their PCs as they also buy 64-bit systems. To this end, my board is quite old with a still very capable processor, but this does mean that I have an AGP slot when everyone else has now moved to PCI-Express. This isn't so much of a problem however as the X1950 AGP can still produce the highest performance in the games of the last couple of years. Admittedly it struggles with the latest games, but if you are willing to sacrifice the highest detail settings, the games are still very playable. The card is a single slot design, unlike a lot of nVidia's 2-slot cards, so the X1950 is ideal for older systems. Some earlier ATi cards suffered from weak fans, but not so with this...

Radeon 9550 - superb card

Advantages: quality, reliability, durability, price, specs
Disadvantages: none for this price range and production date

.... This graphic card I bought to my brand new PC about 5-6 years ago and it is still sitting there. Straight away have to point how good and durable this card is. For all this years I haven't had any troubles with it, even haven't had to remove it from AGP socket, except of cooler routine cleaning. I bought it because of high parameters and good specification when using graphic programs. Obviously I mean high parameters like for 2001 year. I have to admit that I was rendering images and scenes from 3ds max, editing pictures in Photoshop Corel and other similar software and Radeon was doing great job every single time. Have never failed me and probable because of this fact is still in my PC. For general purpose use this 9550 is absolutely efficient enough and there is no need to buy other more expensive cards. If...

Review of Sapphire RADEON 9550

Great card for a gamer on a budget!

Advantages: No trouble with latest games, cool and quiet
Disadvantages: Does not have DirectX10

...I bought this card about a month ago and since then I have had sufficient time to test it and see if my money was well spent, here is my short review of the Sapphire Radeon X1950PRO. The Radeon X1950 Pro was designed to replace ATI's older midrange card, the Radeon X1800 GTO. With a 580 MHz core clock speed and 512MB of GDDR3 RAM running at 1,4GHz, the Radeon X1950PRO boasts a faster core clock and memory speeds than the Radeon X1800 GTO. Like most midrange to high-end graphics cards, the Sapphire Radeon X1950PRO requires a link to your PC's power supply. Most PCs with a 300-to-400-watt power supply should be able to handle a single card, and ATI recommends at least a 550-watt power supply for CrossFire mode. The Sapphire Radeon X1950PRO's fan runs very quiet under stress and did not generate too much heat which was perfect...

Review of Sapphire - Katie Price

A good mid range gamers card

Advantages: Price - performance is great value
Disadvantages: none

...Its a good job my husband knows all the tech stuff here lol this is a review based on his experience of this.. Sapphire Radeon X1950PRO The card supports 256Mb of DDR3 speed Memory, with a PCI-E interface. Installation was simple removed old card and replaced with new card powered up and installed new drivers , didn't use the sapphire install disk but tend to use the ATI drivers direct from their website. When I brought the card I was looking for a relatively decent priced card for use with gaming and usual desktop performance. The card is robust with a quiet full length cooling fan which is adequate for my system due to sufficient case cooling. The card supports windows Vista fully so when I brave the upgrade will try that out, works okay on vista beta 2 though. The card is a Radeon 1950 core, which has the following features...
