Sapphire's Radeon 7000...What a gem!
Advantages: Fantastic budget card.
Disadvantages: Limited overclocking facilities. Fails to run the latest titles.
...Last December, I was assigned the task of building a low -cost PC for a relative. With only a maximum of 35 pounds to spend on a video card my choice was limited. I finally opted for Sapphire's version of the Ati Radeon 7000 model.
It cost about 28 pounds at the time, and is possibly the finest budget card I've come across. One of its main advantages is its stability, I used a tool called Riva Tuner to overclock it somewhat, the heatsink handled it fine! Sadly though, the overclocking didn't produce any marked improvement, the only benefit being a slight increase of frame rate on Counter-Strike and Medal of Honour: Allied Assualt.
This aside, the card is fantastic for the price. It runs popular games such as Counterstrike (Non-source of course) aswell as any game predating the year 2002. However, it doesn't run more recent...

Radeon 9550 - superb card
Advantages: quality, reliability, durability, price, specs
Disadvantages: none for this price range and production date

This graphic card I bought to my brand new PC about 5-6 years ago and it is still sitting there. Straight away have to point how good and durable this card is. For all this years I haven't had any troubles with it, even haven't had to remove it from AGP socket, except of cooler routine cleaning.
I bought it because of high parameters and good specification when using graphic programs. Obviously I mean high parameters like for 2001 year. I have to admit that I was rendering images and scenes from 3ds max, editing pictures in Photoshop Corel and other similar software and Radeon was doing great job every single time. Have never failed me and probable because of this fact is still in my PC.
For general purpose use this 9550 is absolutely efficient enough and there is no need to buy other more expensive cards.

A cheap and efficient graphics card.
Advantages: Easy installation process, Extensive connectivity options, noiseless.
Disadvantages: Some features work better with Vista operating system.

Sapphire Technology is the main supplier of ATI based Graphics Cards for personal computers all over the world. It also produces different types of TV cards, work stations and digital photo frames for consumers. It is a Hong-Kong based company and has two ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified manufacturing plants in China. ATI launched the Radeon HD 4600 series on September 2008. Sapphire Radeon 9600XT Review
Advantages: Price, value for money, performance
Disadvantages: Not for the advanced gamer
...Introduced as one of radeons mid-high end products, the Radeon 9600xt was originally aimed at the user on a budget, who still required good performance out of moderate applications.
Featuring exactly the same functionality and system performance as the 9600 PRO, XT is based on the RV360 chip.
Coupled with cooling, and superior memory, ATI's major downfall came with the memory speed of only 300MHZ. Although to be fair, they have laxed this and allowed 25MHZ increases only recently.
Using the latest and fatest AGP 8X, the most can be experienced from some of the latest games. Sapphire RADEON 9600 Atlantis Pro 256MB
Advantages: Great Value, Relaible
Disadvantages: No as good as 9800 series
...I wanted to buy a video card that could handle cames such as Call of Duty and NFSU2 easily with a bit to spare. I didn't want to break the bank, and although I was tempted by the 9800 series I opted to go for a sapphire 9600 pro(256mb). I must emphasize the importance of purchasing a pro model as opposed to a standard 9600. Although the pro is not as good as the xt, the price increase from the standard 9600 was minimal(a mere 2 pounds in my case!), so the performance upgrade was well worth the bit extra. I was constrained by the fact that I didn't have a pci express port only an agp, but I have been assured that I do not lose out by buying agp compatable technology at this stage. It is recommended to use this card with an 8x agp slot but using a 4x is fine.

The 9200SE, yet another Gem from Sapphire.
Advantages: Excellent mid-range card. Compatable with most recent games. Good overclocking capabilities
Disadvantages: None to speak of.
...Last January, after my aged Nvidia TNT2 card finally bit the dust I realized it was time to purchase a new graphics card for my own PC. I'd previously bought and tested out the Radeon 7000 from Sapphire on a different PC, due to the good results I acheived with that model, this card represented a natural progression.
The 9200SE card is by no means a top of the range model, when I purchased it it cost 37 pounds. Upon receiving it promptly through the post I proceeded to install it in the usual manner: Inserting it into one of the Agp slots on the motherboard and fastening the card using the screws supplied.
The motherboard I used it on was a cheap Syntax / PC Chips board equipped with a 4x AGP function. Just likes its lesser counterpart it possesses no manual.
The software supplied was identical to that which came with the 7000...

Radeon Power All The Way
Advantages: Superb graphics at no loss in frame rate
Disadvantages: Installation of drivers not recognised
...After trawling the net for suitable PC's - I decided to build my own one with the help of a friend - well he built it and I paid (and watched and helped a little!).
The Radeon 9800SE Atlantis was first for choice based on its cost and the quality of graphics and frame rate.
The installation process. Once we had assembled the motherboard, processor, heat sink and drives, the Radeon 9800SE Atlantis just slotted in and connected to the power cables very easily and that is that. No fiddly bits or straining to cram the wires in - having a large volume case does help though.
(I would recommend that you use the anti-static envelops when replacing a graphics card - don't let your old one lie around because you may have to replace your new card if it doesn't work - not that Radeon cards don't breakdown but as a safety precaution...
