Toshiba Satellite Pro L500

Advantages: Fast, wide range of extra features, comprehensive instruction manual
Disadvantages: Other than the hefty price tag, none at all

...review: Speed The Toshiba Satellite Pro L500 is one of the fastest laptops I've used. It's much faster than my own Ei Systems laptop and my sister's E-Machines system (purchased in 2007 and 2008 respectively). I would expect nothing less as this was sold as a top of the range laptop just this year and it cost £650. I purchased a computer this year and, just to show speed depends on the price tag...

Toshiba Satelite Pro

Advantages: Reliable, solid machine
Disadvantages: Overheats! Beware

...I have owned a Toshiba Satelite Pro for over three years now and on the whole am very happy with the machine. There is however a caveat with my recommendation. The design boys at Toshiba made one glaring mistake by placing the cooling vent for the processor on the underside of the laptop. as a result the laptop will gets very hot, the fan is constantly working at near maximum and is noisy...
