Were You 'Saved By The Bell'?!

Advantages: One of the best TV shows from my childhood and one I still enjoy watching now
Disadvantages: The characters are a bit predictable, as are the storylines and it's not on TV a lot anymore : (

Quality Save

Advantages: Cheap, very cheap at times
Disadvantages: Nothing, but be careful when you buy food

...Quality Save (shop) I visited Quality Save yesterday for the second time only, and I thought I would share the experience with you. Previously, one of my friends told me about this shop but I wasn't very enthusiastic, but later on I had to visit it. I mean, sometimes, if you feel like buying new Nike trainers, big chocolate boxes from Thorntons and so on, you become obliged to watch your expenditure. However, if you are too rich to go to this shop, please do not continue reading; if I didn't have to visit it, I wouldn't have made this daring move? just kidding! Unlike supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl, which depend on selling their own labels at low prices, Quality Save sells known products that you can find everywhere but at much higher prices in the other shops. This shop does not sell any frozen or chilled products...

Saved!

Advantages: Witty, unique, actually has a message.
Disadvantages: May offend hardline Christians.

...Saved! is going to offend some people. It's a shame, as it really shouldn't, but it's an inevitability. Offence really can't be entirely avoided when you have a film set in a Christian high school, and then throw teen pregnancy and homosexuality and a bunch of other issues into the mix. Now assuming one can leave their politics to one side, Saved! is in turns both hilarious and dramatic, while also managing to offer an actual message, something usually missing from the usual parade of similar teen films. The film follows Mary (Jena Malone), a Christian who sleeps with her boyfriend only in an attempt to "save" him from homosexuality. Unfortunately for her, she manages to become pregnant, something which isn't good for someone at a hardcore Christian school. This leads to confrontation with her former best friend, Hilary Faye...

Advantages: Easy to follow video
Disadvantages: You need a battery operated drill

...I like to think I am doing the best I can in terms of saving water and keeping my water bills down. I have a lovely little dual flush WC in my en-suite and also in the downstairs toilet but the one in the main bathroom is the older style and doesn't have the option of an economy flush. I have been using one of the water saving devices in the cistern and although that reduces water usage it isn't as good as the dual flush option. So for some time I have just been using the dual flushes and the toilet in the main bathroom is rarely used. Time to make some changes I thought - I looked at the cost of replacing the toilet but that was cost prohibitive especially as the suite is 'champagne' coloured and would be tricky to match so that might mean replacing the whole suite. If you are at all squeamish this is not really a film for you as, the beginning in particular and actually much of the rest of film is brutal and bloody and features blood, guts and missing limbs, however it is so good and so powerful you should look past all the gore to experience this wonderful movie.
