Scaleo 600 P4 2.53
Advantages: Brilliant easy to use and you do get the windows xp disk
Disadvantages: none really
...This Fujitsu computer was not that well know to us when we went looking for 2 computers. We had at the time tried to price up the components for a build and when we added the cost of Windows Xp x 2 it was a lot more, £300 more at the time, so we had to buy.
The budget at the time was £1000 for 2 good computers with monitors, speakers, keybboard and mouse. Warranty would just be the normal 1 year unless we could get that included too.
We had a look about and on the net but could not get the systems we were looking for. And with me fixing and being aware of the computer industry to a point we didn't want to go for a pc world own brand computer.
We then got a call from someone we new in Comet who told us about these Brand new Fujitsu Scaleo 600 systems theat had to go because of a shop re-fit. They were at rock bottom prices...

My little grey box...
Advantages: Reliable, Smart looking, Expandable, Comfortable.
Disadvantages: Runs Slightly hot, Graphics could use a little Ooomph....
...Specs of my model :-
P4 3.2Ghz (with HT) / 800Mhz Bus
512Mb RAM
250Gb Hard Drive
ATI Radeon 9600XT (VIVO-Model)
Multi-format Media Card Reader (instead of floppy drive).
17" TFT Flatpanel monitor
Starting off...
The Scaleo arrived well packaged, there was little chance of it being damaged in transport. After I had unpacked I glanced through the quick-start guide. Everything was clear and easy to understand. The PC was together and running in less than 15 mins, No problems.
The Base unit of the Scaleo T is smart affair for a standard case, the 'bloo' lights are a nice touch, BUT the case although a familiar size from the front is longer from front to back than most standard cases as a result it protrudes slightly from my desk, but i can live with that.
The Unit comes complete with DVD, and DVD +/- RW, these work well...

All that in one box??
Advantages: Great speed - tons of memory!
Disadvantages: None that I have found so far!
...Who'd have thought that something this clever could look this good?
The CPU comes in a stylish silver and grey casing, but what's more - it has three neon blue lights along the bottom! The power button is also lit up by a blue light! Talk about classy...
While we're talking about the front of the case... it has one DVD/CDROM drive (8x +&- DVD, and 32x CD), and space for another.
A nice feature is a floppy drive. "Who needs those these days?" - I hear you cry, well I agree, but no doubt, sooner or later you'll need one! There is also space for another floppy drive - I don't know why you'd need two, but I think it is possible to install a media card reader in this small space, so it's not such a waste of space after all.
There are two high-speed USB 2.0 ports on the front too, which is really handy when connecting...

T0715 for Epson printers
Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly
Disadvantages: you have to look around for the cheapest as prices do vary
...The inks are
Black T0711
Cyan T0712
Magenta T0713
Yellow T0714
Each pack comes in a vacuum wrapping and it is worth to not open until you need it.
To use you just pull off the yellow strip and just drop it into your printer. It really is as simple as that. Instructions do say to shake the ink cartridge 4 or 5 times before putting it in but I have forgotten to do that and panic stations, but it made absolutely no difference that I could see but perhaps I was just lucky.
These cartridges cannot be refilled and I have not yet seen any recycling place that it happy to receive them - probably just because they cannot be refilled.
How long do they last? Well that is like how long is a piece of string as it really does depend on the amount of printing that you do. The colours are all sharp and good though.
Summary
It...

Advantages: A great challenge from Coolaskaha
Disadvantages: A corny response
...Coolaskaha has authored this challenge, and Christianfilmcritic did a good version of it.
In my twisted sense of humour, I saw opportunities to make my pals groan - so here we go.!
1. ITV or BBC?
It was neither - I promise you - when I didn't turn up for church that week, I was genuinely sick, and I was not watching ITV or BBC, not even UKTV? I was really sick.
2. Sunny or Rainy?
Of course its rainy at the moment.! How can you possibly ask if its sunny, when this is spring time in Ireland
3. Cat or Dog?
I would be quite prepared to eat either actually, and think that I probably have at some time or other; but if you are offering them in a stir fry with crispy noodles, I think the cat may be more tender, thanks.
4. Cod or Haddock?
I've been sitting on the beach for three hours today, and I haven't caught anything yet, so...

T erffic Mobile
Advantages: Good Coverage, Excllent Customer Services, Excellent Price Plans
Disadvantages: none
..., taking photo?s, picture messaging and all manner of things. In order to take full advantage of your mobile phones capabilities you need a network provider that can pull it off. It would be like having a top of the range DVD player but having no television player to watch it on.
A mobile phone is no use without a network provider offering you the service you need to meet all your requirements, T-Mobile is one of the worlds leading mobile communication companies and they can provide a service that is second to none and suitable for everyone.
A good network/service provider should have something for everyone. The main contenders are, Orange, O2 (previously Cellnet) Vodaphone, Virgin and T-Mobile (previously one2one) they all have different tariffs, price plans and special offers to entice its customers. The question is, can they deliver...

Samsung T200HD, perfection in a television?
Advantages: 2 HDMI, CAM Slot, Optical Out,
Disadvantages: Confusing instructions...think that's about it!
...I ordered this TV/Monitor for use in my bedroom - to be hooked up to a Sky+ box.
In all honestly, my expectations were not high - I'm a bit of an AV buff and really didn't think that a sub £200 TV could cut the mustard...but boy was I wrong!!
First step was obviously unpacking the set, where I found that everything was well packaged and also nicely laid out in the box so that I didn't have to go searching for different parts. After I had it all out and laid on the floor in front of me I grabbed the instruction sheet for assembling the stand - and the mind really did boggle. I know that written instructions often become a bit garbled when translated from a foreign language - but I can honestly say that I've never heard of pictures being lost in translation before! The assembly is very straight forward though - simply clip the bracked to...

Is the "T" for Terrible customer service?
Advantages: Good coverage.....
Disadvantages: Poor customer service
...** UP-DATED ** UP-DATED ** UP-DATED ** UP-DATED **
This review represents my experience to date with T-Mobile. I appreciate that my experience may be completely converse to those of many others who may experience exceptional customer service from this particular mobile provider, but this is my account, which focuses more specifically on customer service. Please do rate this review based upon customer services aspects of T-Mobile rather than the actual services offered by T-Mobile as a mobile service provider.
The category of this review allows for the writers' own interpretation to a certain point of view as it is left quite open and generic and whilst I do cover the services they offer etc, it is specifically concerning customer service?.. (Thanks) !!

Improving my Memory
Advantages: Good Brand Name,
Disadvantages: None
...We have wanted a new Computer for ages and ages, our last one wasn?t too bad for most routine tasks, but as it ran at a mere 333mhz we thought it was about time to upgrade to something better. Incidentally, we didn?t set out the other day to but a computer, we actually left to look at furniture, and came back with our new toy, the Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo 600 Desktop Computer, which was launched in October 2001. Our incentive for this was our Sim City 3000 game, just purchased, which wasnt running too effectively on the old slow machine!
We bought the Scaleo from Comet. Its specification was pretty good, with 80Gb Hard Drive (Last one was 6Gb, so I am not sure when we will use all that extra space!!), 64 Mb Graphics Card, and AMD Athlon XP 1700 Processor. This processor provides up to 1536 SDRAM, and not 1700 as you might expect, as...
