Disadvantages: The efficient staff can be rather solemn, Short stop in Gothenburg if you're on the minicruise trip.

...only for an evening. However, my impressions are of a very clean city with a reasonable shopping centre. Perhaps I'll give it a proper look over next time I visit Sweden. In conclusion, I would certainly recommend the Princess of Scandinavia - it's one of the best ferries I've travelled on....

Sexy little scandinavian model...

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Poor instructions

...Having recently re-arranged our bedroom my fiancé and I decided that a change in computer housing was required in order that it didn’t take up as much space as the present desk did, that and we were fed up with looking at the same huge unsightly dust collector. So we decided that instead of having everything on show for all and sundry to view we opted for a small, easy to assemble pine DIY desk from one of my favourite shops – Argos, as the plan was to hide it all away neatly in the built in bedroom cupboard. This would also have the added benefit that when our dear PC decides to crash, losing your last 3 hours of hard graft you could simply shut the door and walk away without so much temptation to disconnect it and propel through the nearest window. At £19.99 the “Scandinavia” computer desk was a bargain...

38 Hours aboard M/S Scandinavia

Advantages: Cheap way of travel,cheap duty free
Disadvantages: Sea can be rough, language problems

...The Polferries ship, M/S Scandinavia departs from Nynäshamn ferry terminal (Sweden), at 17.30 on 26th September 2003, and it's just 10km from us, so it's a nice easy first leg of the trip. The route is operated 3 times a week. This ferry was built in 1980 in Sweden and is capable of carrying up to 1888 people, and over 500 cars. The ship is 146metres long and has 11 floors which include a 200 seat cinema, children's play area, and the usual cafe, bars and restauarant facilities. Although built in 1980, it's first voyage under the Polferries name was in August 2003, it was purchased from another ferry operator, who run services to the island of Gotland. We wait around at the terminal for quite a while as there is a mass of people in front of us. Tickets in our pockets, we head through passport control and onto the ship without too much...

The Best thing to come out of Denmark since Bacon

Advantages: Easy Listening, Good Riffs, not yet overplayed by the radio & the Obscure titles
Disadvantages: Danish

...Mew in my opinion have bridged a gap in the rock world, creating a bridge between contemporary and diverse groups. They have managed to some how to combine melodic sigur ross like song, but actually go somewhere with it. Songs such as 'Special' or '156' (which is on the previous album) blend beautiful verses with rocking choruses. The word rocking truely doesn't do justice to their music, so I apologise to any hardcore fans. A good metaphor to describe the brilliance of this album: Animals of the Musical Forest: U2 being the wise owl Coldplay being the fox Mew are the Unicorn While Razorlight are the tractor destroying the forest And The Glass Handed Kites is the follow up album to Frengers, which put this band on the map outside of Scandinavia. This new album is packed with great tunes, of which my personal favourite...

Advantages: good location for northern Poland, quiet, small,
Disadvantages: very limited shopping and catering

...Gdansk Airport (officially named Lech Walesa Airport) is located in the village/suburb of Rebiechowo within about a half hour's minutes drive from most areas of Tri-City (many outlying suburbs will be closer, though). Public transport links are good to Gdansk itself, but much worse to Gdynia or Sopot. Licences taxis are widely available and would normally cost something in the region of 60PLN plus, but this vastly varies depending on where you actually going. The airport has served international flights (to Scandinavia and Germany) for years now, but has became much more busy in the recent years (and in particularly with an advent of cheap flights in the form of Ryanair and Wizzair) In addition to several daily commuter-type flights to Warsaw, decent connections to Germany (including Frankfurt, Bremen, Hamburg and Munich...

Do you vaant to be alone?

Advantages: Good, if basic, accommodation in an expensive town
Disadvantages: Not luxurious if that's what you like, could do with some tlc, breakfast only in peak season

...so that there are rooms in different parts of the building which I would think, when the place is quite busy, would reduce noise. Our double cost around 50 Euro per night and did not include breakfast which is only available in the high season. When available, breakfast is served in the main part of the house. If that price seems high for this type of accommodation, remember that this is Scandinavia where prices tend to be higher for almost everything. Our room contained a big double bed, a dressing table and wardrobe and a sofa that could have done with being reupholstered as it was a little hard in parts and too squishy in others. There was no "colour scheme" and everything had the look of being thrown together more from convenience than design.
