Great Scanner

Advantages: good quality scanning
Disadvantages: software is rubbish, can take for ever to scan an image

...I bought myself this to scan various things (old photos, documents and some sheet music) and this does the job pretty well. It was a bit on the expensive side but I needed something that would give me good quality and I could trust that it would work well so I went for HP as they are well known for good quality products. TECHNICAL INFORMATION It can scan at up to 4,800 dpi (dots per inch) It has 96 bit colour It has a 216x311mm scanning screen Connects by USB It is 303x508x108mm (wxdxh) It weighs 5.2 kg So it can give you very good quality, it gets a lot of colours, it's got a decent sized scanning screen, it's pretty big and it's not a light weight utility. After catching up and having a rant about the most common crap things in life we wanted something good to watch. Sliding Back In To The Mobile Generation

Advantages: Does the basics very well. Great looks and form factor.

... Making and receiving calls is simple. The keypad is a nice size, even for stodgy fingers like mine and I find it easy to use. The phone allows you to assign a photo to each contact, so not only can you read who is calling you, you can see them at a glance as well. You can also assign specific ring tones to specific contacts (in my case, my wife) so you don?t even have to look at the screen to know who is calling. There may be a few of you rolling your eyes at this point (as in DOH! What did he expect?), but for me, this is a very useful and practical advance on my old (yes ? REALLY old) previous phone. When receiving calls, you can set up the phone to answer when you slide it open, or leave it so you have to press the answer key. ...required. One minor niggle for me is that the large screen always seems to be grubby, either greasy from being against my ear or covered in finger prints. The package of items with the phone included what I take to be a lead to connect it to a tv (to view video clips and photos?), a USB cable to help you to sync it with your pc/laptop, and headphones which act as antenna if you want to listen to the radio on it. Along with the obvious charger, SIM, mini SD, and battery. The only thing you might want to get which isnt included is a bluetooth headset if you need the phone while driving, but is any phone call really that important? I got this free as an upgrade but you could be asked to pay anything up to around £170 on Orange pay as you go. Overall Im impressed by the 6500 slide, it has retained the simplicity I like from a Nokia...

This was one of the more expensive phones on the market at present, but considering it gave up the ghost after just 3 months I decided I would downgrade to a cheaper, but more reliable phone.
