The HP Scanjet Automatic Document Feeder attaches to HP Scanjets and is compatible with the Scanjet 5100, 5200, 6200 and 6300 series scanners. It then scans documents automatically. WHAT DOES IT DO? You put up to 25 pages of loose paper in it and click a button. The loose pages will then be scanned into your computer. Wow! A Scanner Darkly

Advantages: Good Special Effects
Disadvantages: Not many

..."A Scanner Darkly" is based on the novel by Philip K Dick. Richard Linklater's film stars Keanu Reeves as undercover narcotics policeman; Bob Arctor. This is an interesting film but it didn't really move me deeply. There was some good acting but the story line was simply not exceptional. On deep reflection it is not a film that I would recommend. Great Scanner

Advantages: good quality scanning
Disadvantages: software is rubbish, can take for ever to scan an image

...I bought myself this to scan various things (old photos, documents and some sheet music) and this does the job pretty well. It was a bit on the expensive side but I needed something that would give me good quality and I could trust that it would work well so I went for HP as they are well known for good quality products. TECHNICAL INFORMATION It can scan at up to 4,800 dpi (dots per inch) It has 96 bit colour It has a 216x311mm scanning screen Connects by USB It is 303x508x108mm (wxdxh) It weighs 5.2 kg So it can give you very good quality, it gets a lot of colours, it's got a decent sized scanning screen, it's pretty big and it's not a light weight utility. Feeder Echo Park

Advantages: All great quality - Quality not quantity
Disadvantages: Only 12 tracks, but otherwise none

...I would deffinatly not class my self as a big fan of Feeder, not because I do not like the style of music, but becasue they have never come into the limelight with a single that caught my attention. All this changed when I listend to the single 'Buck Rogers' from their album 'Echo Park'. The band have been around for a while now, but Echo Park is what really brought them nationwide fame. Feeder are perhaps a bit of a difficult band to class, mostly indie guitar, but on other tracks go more rock/nu-metal with louder sounds. For my personal preferance I do not like any Limp Bizkit/Korn, but will give anything from the Offspring to the Stereohonics to the Manics a listen. HP Improves There Scanners

Advantages: Very Good Quality, Excellent SilverFast Software
Disadvantages: Abit Large, Dust Removal Software Not Good

.... It has basic setting which you can't adjust to they way you want. But the SilverFast AI scanning software is much better and more professional, though the dust remover software is not good at all. The scanner has a wide range of functions which include: -Copying -Quick Scan (photosmart application) -Paperport 10 (for document scanning) -ReadIris (for document scanning) -Automatic document feeder -Transparency or negative scanning -Easy connection via USB The scanner is really good when it comes to 35mm and high resolution scanning is fast. Around 2 mins for 35mm frame of 20MB. But as mentioned previously the dust removal part slows it all down quite a lot. Overall it's a good scanner for anyone who is creative and does photographic work. Also this is a big improvement for HP scanners which are usually on the downside...

A Scanner Darkly

Advantages: Very Stylistic, gerat soundtrack
Disadvantages: difficult to follow

...Having read Philip K Dicks book, A Scanner Darkly, I was eagerly awaiting the film adaptation. Upon hearing that George Clooney had optioned it no less, and that Richard Linklater was down to direct it I was kind of ecstatic. I have a lot of respect for George Clooney, following his efforts to turn out less main stream Hollywood films, in favour of thought provoking and interesting films. So when I heard that Keanu Reeves had go the lead role as Bob Arctor, my heart sank. To be fair to Reeves, his last couple of films have been stinkers. Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions were not bad down to his acting, more to the clunky direction of the Wachowski Brothers. But the lead character for A Scanner Darkly, in my opinion would always have needed someone who had a half decent range, and not someone who cam across as a bit of an airhead...

Great for students or employees with large documentation!

Advantages: Suits documents and media processing
Disadvantages: Gaming is a big NO NO on this machine.

...The core 2 duo processor really helps with the media side of computers. 2 very powerful machines work together to provide a very quick response rate. as it is made by Dell you know great support is available, while you may be able to find a similar spec laptop at cheaper cost. I believe the ram is upgradable which is probably recommended to DDR3, as this will help with the gaming aspect if thats what you are into. BEWARE! - If you are into gaming, this isnt the machine for you, the integrated graphics card is bad, but if its not an issue read on. It the perfect laptop for office/college work. It has a large hard drive to store all the documents, while will perform quickly to increase your efficiency. The screen size is average but with connection to the internet available and comes with Vista pre-installed which is useful. -Just a note...
