...Power is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of the xbox 360 elite, it has a huge 120GB hard disk drive and the graphics seem to run alot smoother that the original xbox 360 for some reason. I had the original xbox 360 but that died on me about 2 weeks after buying, microsoft seem to have sorted out these little issues that kept crashing the system. The elite has a HDMI port which means you can connect this straght into your HD socket on your tv, I have a 42 inch plasma and i thought the graphics was good on my old Xbox 360 through a scart lead but once i plugged this in i was blown away! The graphics are amazing, perfect detail can be seen on the games that you play. You get the HDMI cable with this system too which is just great as they are quite exspensive to buy, you also get one black wirless controller and a headset...

...The Nintendo Wii is a great family console. Everyone in our family can pick up a controller and play, from my 4 year old who cheers loudly when she beats her 13 year old sister at bowling, my two teens, and even my technophobe wife. The console plugs into your television via the white/red/yellow sockets or an adaptor to plug into the scart socket. Plug in the hefty mains adaptor and you're almost done. The extra requirement of the Wii is a "sensor bar" which has to go above or below your tv screen to allow the pointer to work on the screen. It sounds more inconvenient than it is however as it's a very slim, and unobtrusive bar which can be fitted in place with supplied sticky pads. Is the Playstation 3 all that?

Advantages: Great graphics, and sound capability
Disadvantages: Not worth the hefty price tag!

...and wireless internet access, the Playstation is better equipped than its rival but just too much money too spend on a single item. I recommend it to Sony Playstation gamers and any game enthusiast but as a member of the public, I wouldnt be tempted to purchase any games console over £300 no matter what manufactorer. The only appalling factor with the Playstation is the prices of the games, they vary from £40-£55 which means if you buy just one game with the console you will be paying almost £500. The graphics and sounds capability are amazing, but value for money is not justified. And the reason of delay was because Sony couldn\'t produce the amount of lasers needed for the UK versions of the console, well wouldn\'t it have been easier just to give both the UK and US the same console just with different scart and HD cables? ...out of the box i found that it was very easy to set up. I literaly had to plug the console into the mains and to the tv with a scart lead and then connect the sensore bar and it was ready to go. I was surprised that the console started up so quick and silently and at the amount of things the console could do. It was wifi enabled so i could connect it to my home network and surf the web. It offers many of the features a computer has such as internet acces (wireless ans wired), e-mail, calanders, time and date and gaming. It also allowed me to get automatic weather and news updates for my erea. The wii has a slot for sd memory cards so you can put pictures on the console.
