A Monster of a Ben10 Scooter!

Advantages: Smart looking scooter. Sturdy and well made. My son loves his!
Disadvantages: Secret fold out drawer and little alien figures are a little bit of a gimmick

...My six year old son is obsessed by the Ben 10 cartoon series, currently showing on the Cartoon Network TV channel. The programme itself features a boy (Ben) who can transform himself into alien super-heroes by using his omnitrix (a sort of watch) and defeats villians using his special powers. As with any successful children's programme, there is an abundance of spin-off products available designed to part parents from their cash - little figures (got them), DVDs (got them) and now even a scooter emblazoned with Ben 10 images. As far as tv programme merchandise goes, this scooter is actually of surprisingly good quality and, to be fair, not badly priced. We did some price comparisons before buying this for our son's birthday last September and found the cheapest stockist then to be Argos (at £34.99 compared to the RRP of £39.99.) Yes...

Review of Starway 50QT-7 Scooter

Malaguti yesterday scooter

Advantages: Grreat looks, Good handling, Very reliable, good throttle response.
Disadvantages: a bit small for me 6foot 1, small amount of storage space.

...Well i have had the malagut yesterday 50cc scooter for about 3 months now, and it was a very wise investment. i had a new job and i needed a cheap and efficient way to travel to and from work, and as soon as i walked in my loca dealers store i was sold, the looks of this are amazing, nothing on this looks cheap at all like some other scooters, this is quality through and through, i put my deposit down and took it for its firs voyage. It pulled away very well, even with a rider of my weight on it (14 stone) and the handling is very good, the stylish whitewall tyres grip the road very well, so there are no scary moments, it does not make that horrid bee in a biscuit tin sound that most scooters make, this is more of a purr, it sounds beautiful, the suspension is nice and plush so it absorbs all the road has to throw at you, my only issues...

Malaguti Yesterday 50cc Scooter!!

...I have never had a scooter or bike before, so decided to invest in a Malaguti Yesterday in maroon. It's a 49.2cc (so just under 50cc really) single cylinder 2 stroke engine. It has got both electric and kick start, and I find it extremely reliable. It doesn't like electric starts when it is freezing, but you can't fault that. Starts first kick most morning, no problem. It has tubeless tyres, front and rear brakes, and front and rear suspension. It has a 2 gallon (9 litres) fuel tank located just behind the seat. I usually put about 3/4 quid a week and that lasts me all week. It isn't at all expensive to run. I buy the 2 stroke oil about once every 6 weeks, and thats only a couple of quid a bottle, so it's not breaking the bank. ...This is a small family owned business in Romford, Essex. It specialises in selling scooters but also sells Royal Enfield motorcycles and may still sell Moto Guzzi's too. I bought my Royal Enfield from there in 2003 and the purchase went well. But when i took the bike there for service they would make me wait for around a week until it was ready without providing me with a courtesy bike. It was the same when i took it for a puncture repair. I always had to contact them to find out what was happening or when it would be ready even they kept saying they would phone me. I have since replaced the Enfield with a Triumph Trophy. The shop also sells spares, clothing and accessories and is fairly well stocked and things are reasonably priced. I wouldnt use them again due to the reasons I have mentioned....

...I recently visited Ron Daleys at 46 Doncaster Road, Barnsley when considering buying a smaller engined bike as they specialise in scooters - especially Vespas. I have had little experience with small bikes as I have always been a sports bike girl through n through so had no knowledge of the options on offer, this lack of knowledge was soon rectified by the guys at Daleys who were very helpful, taking the time to find out what I wanted the bike for and then suggesting the relevant models which would suit me best. Anyone into Vespa really should pay a visit to this shop, i have never sent as many mirrors or chrome on bikes in my life and don't even get me started on the paint jobs on these things - they're so retro Austin Powers would love one!
