A Scottish Pyramid

...Scotland is well known for its Pyramids, in fact in West Lothian we have quite a few, although I admit they are really called ?bings? a result from coal and shale mining, but along the M8 there are art projects including pyramids to brighten up the journey between Edinburgh and Glasgow! Seriously though I?m taking about Scottish Blend pyramid tea bags made especially for soft Scottish water. Serious tea drinkers will know that the same tea bag or leaves tastes differently depending on the area and type of water. I used to love to get home after holidays for a decent cup of tea! I stopped drinking tea with caffeine a couple of years ago but have started to have the odd cup of tea instead of my usual fruit infusions. Scottish Blend, Scottish Revelries

Advantages: Flavorful tea especially blended for soft water
Disadvantages: Difficult to procure (in the States, that is), short of a trip to Scotland

Hmmmm, well, I grant that most places I've visited in Scotland have wonderfully soft and pleasant-tasting water. Still and all, we also have very nice soft water in my little corner of America. We don't, however, have ready access to Scottish Blend tea. Fortunately, this particular problem is easy to solve--just fly off to Scotland often enough to keep a ready supply on hand! They are generally black in colour, but can be brindle (sort of grey) and wheaten (creamy coloured) A lot of people do confuse Scotties with their cousins the Westie (who are white). A Scottish Tribute to Football

Advantages: Originality and fun, great lyrics

...**What Is It?** Tartan Army (Scottish World Cup Anthems) was put toghether by Scotland FC. It has 20 songs that have influenced Scottish football over the last 40 years. Written by various artists **Quality Of Music?** Not bad actully. You can tell some of it was recoreded a while back as it is a bit crackily, but the music itself is great. It is VERY patriotic and has alot of traditional scottish instruments especially the accordion which appears in almost every song! Scottish Power: threats and an inability to listen

Advantages: Might be cheaper, but its not worth the stress
Disadvantages: Threatening correspondence, uncaring attitude, tend to ignore explanatory letters and phonecalls

...I moved overseas with work and rented out my house. The tenants moved in and the nightmare begun: we found out that they had sublet, we evicted them, and they stole all the furniture and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to the house. I started receiving bills from Scottish Power, for the period of the tenancy. I had previously been with EDF (an excellent and very helpful and understanding company), and wasn't aware the tenant had switched. I called Scottish Power to explain that they should be charging my ex-tenant, not me. They said that when he had switched, they had taken no bank details and the name had been registered as Mr A Nother (incredible!!). I said I thought that this was perhaps a little stupid of them... scottish power have been the best from the bunch.

Advantages: cheaper fuel.
Disadvantages: minor hitches when changing to them.

...I have had my gas and electric supplied by the company Swalec for a number of years and prior to them by British Gas. I know the price of your gas or electricity is determined by how far from or close to the power generator you live but didnt fully realise how much difference that could work out to be overall. However as I was in the supply area for electricity with Scottish Power Manweb the cost for gas would also be cheaper in comparison when taken as a duel fuel package. I contacted the SP sales team and asked them to take my supply over from British Gas who were the suppliers of the house I had just moved into. Scottish power, worst company ive delt with.

Disadvantages: My god where to start

...Way back when me and my partner got our own place we went with scottish power for our gas and electric supply. At the time we only had a small 2 bed flat so our bills where pretty cheap, they where paid on time every month and we never had any problems with them. That was untill we came to move out!! we gave our final meter reading and all was well then we where told we had under paid by a whopping £370? so not ones to argue we thought they must be right so paid a lump sum of £100 and then set up an arangement to pay so much a month from what was outstanding along with our new homes monthly bill, so for another year we paid £97 a month for gas and electric and a little from what was outstanding from our old address 7 months after we set that arrangement up we got a letter saying our bills needed to go up and we would be paying £135...

...I too have suffered at the hands of Scottish Power's appalling customer service. I paid for duel fuel on direct debit no problem for many months. Out of the blue they write me a letter increasing my DD by some £30 monthly, Upon querying this I was told prices had gone up twice in almost as many months. I asked for an explanation, another stroppy customer service rep told me that prices has just gone up generally and told me I was informed of such. I had never been informed which was why I was so suprised to hear this. When I pointed out that I thought this increase was excessive, miraculously they could reduce the increase to around only £5. Hmmmm,makes me wonder whether these increases are genuine or not, seeing as they can reduce them a drop of a hat when a customer is not prepared to blindly accept what they say. The next month...
