A to Z of resolutions

Advantages: It's not 2007 anymore!
Disadvantages: I didn't do very well.....

...Last year I decided to hedge my bets and do an A-Z of resolutions on Ciao - the thinking being that I'd at least manage to keep some of them. So, a year later it's time to see how I did. In order to get an overall idea of how I did, I will give myself 1 point where I have achieved my aim, deduct 1 point where I clearly haven't, and nothing for those where I neither have nor haven't! A = A in A level Psychology - I'm currently doing an A level Psychology via distance learning (i.e. I read the text book and meet with a tutor sporadically and say "everything's fine!", and turn up to the exams). This resolution is certainly achievable but only if I do get my finger out and do some work, as one of the exams is in 3 weeks! Verdict - achieved - 1 point B = Badminton - Hubby and I started playing badminton just over a year ago...

...In the past I have never been a big one for making New Years Resolutions and when I have bothered I have been pretty bad at sticking to them. However as I enter my 40th year on earth I thought I would mark the occasion with a couple of resolutions to mark the fact and to ensure that I have something to look back on at the years end. ...New Years resolutions for me tend to work extremely well till about the second week in January then all inclination of being a size 10, regular gym goer go out of the window. So this year I've decided to knock on the head the idea of ever getting more than one leg into a size 10 skirt and set up some more realistic goals. My Intentions, Not resolutions For 2008

...I do not tend to do New Year resolutions so I will outline my 2008 intentions on Ciao. My 2007 was a pretty good one by all accounts. I graduated from university in November (having completed my degree in May). I started my new job in June after being offered it the same day as the interview. I went to several football matches, which I didn't think would be possible financially. I ended the year better off than I started and I really enjoyed my 2007. ...Well this review could prove to be a quandary wrapped up in a conundrum if ever there was one. I?ve never been big on the whole New Years resolution thing, I gave up smoking ten years ago with no problem at all, I?m not a heavy drinker and don?t use drugs. I could do with loosing a bit of weight but adding fifteen minutes to every dog walk I go on will soon sort that out. I have no enemies in my real life, I don?t go picking fights with big blokes in pubs, mainly because I am the big bloke in the pub. I always stick by my family and friends and stand shoulder to shoulder with them in times of trouble, I do not judge people, I always say please and thank you and will always hold the door open or give up my seat for a lady, whether they think I?m a chauvinist or not. Every year on new years eve I plan some new years resolutions but by the following morning i never remember what they were and therefore probably break them all within the first few hours of the day! My 2006 New Year Resolutions

Advantages: I like setting myself goals to achieve, its challenging
Disadvantages: Its easy to forget what I set out to achieve after about a month

...Every year I always make a point of making New Year Resolutions. I think its very important to do this as it sets myself goals to achieve for the year and gives me something to aim for which I often find a good challenge. I don't like just going into a New Year with nothing in mind to achieve as I feel I would just drift by, day by day and not achieve as much as I would of otherwise. Missy's New Year Resolutions for 2006 and beyond!

Advantages: Lots if i manage to keep them!
Disadvantages: I've a lack of willpower!

...Ok I know i say it every year but this year I am determined to try to keep my new years resolutions (hereby known as NYR)....2005 saw me break every one I had halfheartedly made by the end of January lol But 2006 I hope will be different.......... In no particular order here are my NYR's LOSE WEIGHT Ok no more faddy diets for me...I've tried most of them and they last and work for a little while but I get bored and lose interest and want more of what i'm depriving myself of.
