Button it!
Advantages: Enjoyable
Disadvantages: About 45 minutes too long
...The film begins in a hospital with Caroline and her mother, her mother is dying with only a few hours to live. She suddenly tells Caroline the tale of Mr Gateux (or Mr Cake) and his train station clock, the clock runs backward, and this prompts Caroline's mother to ask Caroline to read from a diary she has in her suitcase.
The diary has been written by a man Caroline doesn't know, and is the story of his life, it was written by Benjamin Button. Benjamin was born on the night that World War I ended; whilst everyone else is celebrating Benjamin's father is rushing home to his wife. He gets home to find the priest has already been called and the doctor informs him that she will die shortly. He rushes to his wife's side, and with her last few breathes she asks him to make sure 'there will always be a place for him', her husband agrees...

The scrolls, briefly
Advantages: Well done as an outline and overview
Disadvantages: -
...I am a fan of the VSI ? Very Short Introduction ? Series done by the Oxford University Press. On literally hundreds of subjects, they provide a survey with enough depth and detail to be worthwhile to the non-specialist, a wide enough range to useful for students looking for authoritative information, and good as a general outline of the fields or subjects as preparation for further study.
This particular volume on the Dead Sea Scrolls touches on one of my areas of interest that I have been following for over a quarter of a century (and it pains me to realise that I am indeed old enough to have areas of study that reach back that far). When I first encountered information about the scrolls, one controversy about them was over ownership rights and publication rights ? there were conspiracy theories about why the scrolls were being...

Button your lips.
Advantages: Delicious cadburys chocolate.
Disadvantages: Health-factor.
...Have you ever seen that advert with the cheese on toast? Somebody see's somebody eating it, so they go and have some, then somebody see's them with it, and someone else goes and has it, and so on. Well I was in a similar situation a couple of weeks back. I was at the shops, -minding my own business-, when I saw a youth sitting on a bench, tucking into a pack of cadburys buttons. There and then, I knew I must have a bag, and so I set off to find some. Somewhere on my travels however I got distracted, and I ended up NOT buying any, and totoally forgetting about them.
A couple of days later my Grandma invited me up to her house to help my little cousins bake for my aunties birthday the following day. I love to bake, and so there was no doubting i'd be up there helping.
We made various types of cakes, including some plain sponge cakes...

Button in the Pitts?
Advantages: Its over
Disadvantages: Hyped up Oscar bore
...Starring - Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett
Genre - Oscar chasing romantic biopic
Awards - 3 technical Oscars
Running time 166 minutes
-----------------------------------------------
Benjamin Button: "Your life is defined by its opportunities... even the ones you miss".
-----------------------------------------------
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is the worse case scenario for the professional film critic, which isn't me, of course. Its not that it's particularly bad or anything but what it represents. It's strategically released around the awards season in February so the movie press can go along to the freebie junkets and parties and pick up their gift packs so encouraged to go away and write nice stuff about it, and with the studios full PR machine behind the film low-and-behold it gets loads of nominations...

On the button
Advantages: Great Talent
Disadvantages: Needs to grow up
...If someone had said to you, “Did you hear about the young guy from Somerset who got given a ride for the season at one of the biggest Formula One teams?” you might be forgiven for thinking that some punch-line involving farming/new-fangled technology might arrive, however in the case of Jenson Button it really did happen. Admittedly the story is not quite that simple, since Jenson wasn’t hoiked off the dodgems by a passing Sir Frank Williams, to come and join the F1 circus.
So what did propel Jenson Button into the shop window to be snapped up by Williams? He had followed the tried and tested route than others such as Senna had taken, i.e. he came to the sport having started out in karting, before moving to the British Formula Ford series in 1998. During 98 he won the Formula Ford Championship, the Formula Ford...

The Elder Scrolls magic
Advantages: huge and beautiful environment, lots of quests, characters and stories, sounds and music
Disadvantages: Oblivion is already released, characters could have looked better
...Morrowind is the third game of the Elder Scrolls series, but I got to play this one after the fourth one, Oblivion. But still Morrowind was another great experience for me as it just one step behind Oblivion in all aspects. This one is another great work from Bethesda Softworks and it is undoubtedly an incredible experience. This one is another huge Role Playing Game with a huge world to explore. The sequel to Daggerfall of 1996 has undergone a huge transformation from its predecessor. The game is supposed to take place in is a fictional region with the name Morrowind itself which is a part of the vast landscape of Tamriel. Two expansion packs were released for the game, Tribunal and Bloodmoon.
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
* Windows ME/98

Having fun with buttons
Advantages: Good for those threading skills
Disadvantages: None
...Galt toys have made these fun buttons for many years. I have seen and played with them in several early years settings. Your children and maybe even you will have played with them.
Galt fun buttons are brightly coloured red, yellow blue or green plastic buttons they come in a pack of 40 including a threading lace.
A fun button is circular. These buttons I guesstimate to be about 3cm in diameter, I have none at home to measure. They are a couple of mm thick. The edges of the fun button are raised and crimped. There are some buttons with 1 hole in the centre, some with 2 some with 3, 4 or 5 holes. This makes the threading options more varied
These buttons are a good size for a child to hold the holes are a good size too. These buttons are ideal for practicing learning threading skills. . The buttons can be threaded onto...

A Man Sized Button
Advantages: They are delicous !
Disadvantages: None
...Just tell me, what has Cadbury's chocolate got that other chocolate hasn't?
I don't know the answer but more often than not I will always head for a bar of Cadbury's before I take any notice of the rest of the chocolate sitting on the shelf.
Plus I wonder how many of us go to the supermarket checkouts with a couple of bags of chocolate buttons on board our trolley and delude ourselves, saying that we have bought them for either grandchildren or some little visitors.
The whole idea of Cadbury's buttons couldn't be less complicated, just a small slim sweet and creamy milk chocolate disk, no larger than a ten pence piece and not even enough to fully satisfy an adult craving.
But there is something that is incredibly magical about the product, maybe the secret lays within the simplicity of the idea, a button for adults who wish to...
