PROTARAS.CYPRUS. Scuba Diving.for Friendly Fish.
Advantages: Definately the best side of the island for Diving.
Disadvantages: None except it goes really quiet in the winter.
...and sandy, the sea slopes gently, no rocks like Paphos area, but thats another story.
Sun beds lay along the sand, but it wasn't too busy in October. The ideal time for Scuba Diving I would say. On the main part of the beach were a couple of sea-sport sun shelters, where you could book most of the sporting activities, these were constantly busy.
Parascending was one of our favourite, the views from the top were fantastic. First my partner Chirs went up, while I took photos from the boat. They didn't charge for me to come along for the ride. From where I was sitting the parachute looked like a speck in the blue sky, it certainly reached great heights.
I decided then, that I would have a go. I would recommend anyone to try this, it's easy, comfortable and safe.
Water sk-ing, jet ski-ing, banana boating, are great fun but you can...

Capernwray scuba diving site
Advantages: Good land facilities and attraction for the regular diver
Disadvantages: Needs better novice area
...Only visited couple of times but both times they seemed to be a lack of friendliness from the staff, although the facilities where better than some other sites I had visited.
But no real save control practises seemed to being in place just a unmanned telephone near the water and for the money charged a better system should be in place. Especially with the amount of technology available in the market place these days.
The entry exit points are quite restrictive and can be really busy especially with students and dive schools using the area close to the slip way. Although the underwater attraction are good in deeper areas. The novice area is spoilt with the two training platforms located in the narrowest point and the only safe natural route to the slip way exit point (for a novice diver) . It really puzzels me why this area is used...

Recreational Scuba Diving
Advantages: Relaxing, amazing and awe-inspiring
Disadvantages: Can be costly
...When I first travelled to Montserrat on field work, I had the opportunity to go scuba diving. My PhD supervisor is a keen diver, and as he was going to dive while we were out there, it was an opportunity for me to try it. As I have always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, I went for it!
Initially I tried a resort dive, to see if I enjoyed it and felt comfortable with it. It would be pointless me doing a full course if I felt unhappy and frightened. The resort dive consists of a short pool session, where you are shown how to use your equipment and certain emergency procedures like, how to empty to your mask and how to share air. The second part is a guided dive in the sea. you are fully supervised by your instructor and shown the reefs in dive spot.
I loved it! Within 2 minutes of getting in the water, I was swimming past...

Scuba Diving at Cozumel Island Mexico
Advantages: Crystal clear warm water, large variety of fish
Disadvantages: Mexico is not exactly next door to Britain!
...I first tried scuba diving when I was 17 in the local swimming pool. The scuba diving club were holding an open day and I decided to give it a try along with a friend I’d met at the swimming pool whilst part of the life saving club. (I intended to get summer work as a lifeguard.) It was great fun, but as I was in full time education, there was no way I could afford the gear required! My next scuba dive was also in a pool, while I was working as a lifeguard. We used to use scuba equipment to clean the pool to save having to come up for air!!!
But then I went to Mexico for my honeymoon last August and I finally got to scuba dive somewhere other than a pool! I even got my husband to come with me and he loved it too. We stayed on Cozumel island which is a little island south east of Cancun. The hotel was literally...

Scuba School
Advantages: Great staff, excellent teaching methods, beautiful marine life
Disadvantages: The walk from school to Beach!
...or totally new to the experience.
Taster Sessions
Every day at 12.30, guests of the hotel were able to take part in ?Taster Sessions? which are great for people who have never tried scuba diving and would like to see what it is all about. Although this is only done in the pool, meaning that you will not get to see any of the fantastic marine life, it is still a great chance to see how you get on with all the new equipment and will at least give you some sort of idea of whether scuba diving is for you. Best of all, its free so even if you don?t like it, you haven?t lost anything and at least you can say you gave it a go!
Introductory Dive
During an Introductory Dive, you will be taken (with an Instructor) to depths of about 5 metres where you will get to experience some breathtaking marine life. There is a house reef onsite at the Hilton...

Dive deep and retrieve these seal sticks
Advantages: Good aid to water confidence
Disadvantages: none
...on the bottom of the pool.
These sticks could be used by the swimming teacher in games getting children to dive and collect them.
The children at my school quite like these seals they will go under water to collect them . The children will also play with these experiencing them sinking adding some science into the swimming lesson.
These Zoggs seal sticks are a good size for a child to grip and hold. If your child goes to swimming classes they well may have these. Zoggs make many swimming aids.
You can buy these sticks on line through many sports suppliers http://www.totallysport.co.uk has them for £7.89 http://www.sainsburys.co.uk sell them for £9.99...

Come dive with me
Advantages: Efficient operation
Disadvantages: Not always the cheapest but good value
...Tony Backhurst Scuba Travel has certainly earned the right to use the words "award winning" when it comes to organising diving holidays and in particular liveaboard diving holidays as it has scooped the 2005 Diver Awards Tour Operator of the Year Award and one of its boat Hurricane has scooped top Liveaboard of the Year and these awards are not a one off as it has been the second year in a row that it has scooped both prizes which are voted for my the diving public.
My trip in March to the Red Sea was the first time I had used them mainly because they do tend to be a little more expensive than other providers and I'm tightfisted however on this occasion I had little choice as they were the only UK based provider who had a boat doing the itinerary that I wanted on the dates I was able to travel.
The company offers both liveaboard...

I personally think that it is an excellent first game to get for the Wii. You can happily play for hours and hours becuase of the wide variety of events you can play. These events include;

*High jump"

So as you can see by this list you have a wide variety to choose from but you also have the options of unlocking different games, this can be done by breaking records and so on. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is fun for all the family to enjoy because it has a multiplayer option of upto 4 people. You also get to choose from all your favourite...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)
Advantages: Great fun, realistic actions
Disadvantages: Will tire you out easily
...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was a huge Sonic fan, playing the first and second game until completion and then starting up again a few days later as I loved everything about it, the colours, the gameplay.... everything.
So if you tried to convince me that some 10-15 years later that Sonic and Mario would team up in a game, I probably would have just laughed. Back then it would have been an absurd thought but one that any magazine reviewer or computer game fanboy would have only dreamed about.
Well January 2008 saw this realisation with the release of Sonic & Mario...

Now you can compete in the olympic games
Advantages: fun, variety of events
Disadvantages: muscle strain
...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. I eventually bought this game and i am so glad that i did as it is great fun.
Players
This game can be played as a one player or multiplayer as long as you have a wii remote for each player. Also you will need a nunchuck for each player although some of the games you can play with just the remote.

In this game you can play as characters from either sonic or mario such as sonic, tails, mario, princess daisy and yoshi. Each of the characters have different abilities which are split into speed, skill, power and stamina. you can choose a character who is a speed, skill, power or all around type which means that if you are playing a running game you would choose a character from the speed type...
