...I used to own the Gillette Venus razor, just the 'plain jane' one, not one of the more fancy types they have now that vibrate or have 1 million blades a strip of something silky and soft. However when the Venus Breeze came out I was immediately interested in it. This razor was different. Instead of having to buy your usual shaving foam, the razor itself has a built in shave gel bar. A brilliant idea! When I bought the Gillette Venus Breeze razor it was on offer in Boots for half price, along with the blades. This razor's full price is £7.82 in Boots, I paid about £4 for mine, back before the VAT cut. Not bad for a Gillette Venus razor, the other types also cost between the £5-£8 mark. You don't need to buy the Gillette Venus Breeze handle though to use the blades, if you already own a Gillette Venus razor, then simply buy the Breeze...

Just the thing to combat sea breezes!

I hate my lips feeling dry so I use lip butter or lip salve all the while as I rarely wear lipstick and living by the sea there?s always a sea breeze and sometime we even see the sun! LOL! I use quite a few different lip savers and lip balms and I am always open to suggestions about more good ones to try. The product itself is an off white fairly solid cream. To use the lip butter all you have to do is to wipe your finger over the surface of the lip butter and then apply it to your lips. According to the information on the base of the pot it is supposed to keep your lips conditioned and moisturised and this is exactly what it did for me...

...I treated myself to a garden plant this weekend a sea holly, Eryngium bourgatii. This is a very pretty plant with green leaves divided into spikes in a frost pattern. This mound of dark blue/green leaves have silver veins in them. A stout branched stalk will grow up from the leaves to about 60cm. This stalk will have small dense, blue cone shaped flowers these each have a spiky silver blue rosaceous collar of leaf underneath it. This plant is very attractive. The flowers are really a fantastic Oxford blue colour. Eryngium bourgati is a native of Spain,, the Pyrenees and Med coast . It likes chalky sandy soil well drained soil so I hope it will like my Chiltern chalk. The best position for this plant is full sun. Basically, it is sea weed and it's supposed to be very good for you.
