Jay Sean... Who Is He????

...Now for some reason I am really getting into R & B just lately. IN one of my recent reviews I referred to a R & B album being possibly the first and last that I may ever buy, well that has changed and overnight I seem to have become quite fond of this kind of music, someone has obviously influenced me, but I can't think who. Jay Sean, a couple of weeks ago, if someone mentioned his name to me I wouldn't have had a clue who he was, possibly an actor, singer maybe, I would have been oblivious to who he was, however his album has now found it prized place in my ever increasing collection of R & B music. A Backpacker's Pespective of Sean Paul

Advantages: Memorably Catchy Beats, some good lyrics, Hip-Hop / Reggae Fusion, actual GOOD Club Songs
Disadvantages: A lot of songs are crappy, Difficult to understand Sean Paul

Astropolis: Earth Ascendant.

Advantages: Strong characters, tightly written
Disadvantages: The occasional glaring line, probably best to read Book One first...

A fine selection of 'Dutty Rock'!

...OH MY GOD!! I knew this album would be worth buying, but I didn't realise it would be THIS good. You don't have to like Reggae to like Sean Paul, this is 'Dancehall', and it definitely makes you dance, I can't keep my bum still!! The new single 'We Be Burnin'' is track 3 on this album, and it's a fine single to set the standard for this, the follow up album to his 'Dutty Rock' album, which sold more than 6 million copies, and won him a Grammy. ...Sean Paul - Dutty Rock Twenty three tracks make up the 2nd album of Jamaican Dancehall come DJ, come rapper Sean Paul, his first album bombed. Released in 2002 this album has made regular visits to my CD player, one or two tracks in particular. I am not going to review every track; rather I am going to 'highlight' the best tracks. ...Sean Lock was unknown to me really when I first watched 15 Storeys High. If you have watched '8 out of ten cats' on channel 4 you will have definitaly seen him on that over the last few years, as he is one of the team captain's . Also you may have seen him when he was hosting 'TV Heaven,Telly Hell '... which was a funny show. You will probably know a bit about Sean Lock's style of humor already if you have seen him on those shows. I think his humor is quite dry which people tend either to get or not!. If you like his type of humor you will find plenty like it in '15 Storeys High'. I first saw this series on tv.
