...I choose this car to be my first car when I was 16, I learnt in it and now I drive it everywhere. It's a 2000 Seat Ibiza and they are rare as it was onlyin production 2 years. So I'll start with the positives, it looks fantastic I've had silver multispoke alloys and the car is silver (best colour) so it looks really good. The interior plastic is not great compared to my dads Alfa Romeo but then not many cars are that good inside. Advantages: Stylish car at a bargain price
Disadvantages: No light in the boot!

...This is my second Seat having previously owned the older model of the Ibiza. Its grown a little in size and weight and gained a complete re-design of the interior as well as the exterior. All good stuff so far. It has to be one of the most stylish 'small' hatchbacks around and I particularly like the front view. The back is slightly more staid but the rear light clusters look good. Inside its pretty spacious in the front. The seats are contoured with good side support. I'm on the short side and many car seats catch me behind the knees and leave me in agony after a short time. Having already owned a Seat Leon I was expecting a quality car at a good price and I haven't been disappointed. This is the DAB special edition, meaning it has a more powerful 1.4 petrol engine(100bhp compared 75bhp), excellent digital radio CD system, I-pod connection and uprated sports suspension over the normal 1.4 sport version. SEAT Ibiza TDI Sport/FR

Advantages: Excellent performance and economy
Disadvantages: Slightly less refined than its VW cousins

...I purchased one of these in May 2004 (2003, 03 plate), the 1.9 TDI PD 130 version. This car uses the same 130bhp 1.9 litre diesel engine used extensively throughout the VW Group (VW, SEAT, Skoda and Audi) range. The first thing you notice about this car is the power and especially the torque generated by this engine. Due to turbo lag, it is a little sluggish at extremely low rpm, but once over 1500rpm, the torque and the turbo begin to kick in. Use the 6-speed gearbox to keep the car around the 2000rpm mark to feel the full benefit of this power. The handling of this car is also fantastic, although the stiffened suspension can lead to the ride being a little harsh over bumpier roads. Fuel economy from this car is also fantastic, I averaged around 50mpg, much more on longer motorway journeys (in 6th gear this car will to 70mph...

Initial teething problems: misted up headlamps, whistling noise on drivers side, flat spot on engine. All of these problems were rectified in the end, after some battling with the Dealership. A few weeks ago, whilst driving along in the fast lane of the M5, my bonnet flew up; smashing the windscreen, denting the roof, buckling the bonnet and denting both wings. Me and my family (including my baby daughter) were VERY lucky to be alive.
