Mercedes ML270 cdi 7 seater (X reg 2000) automatic

Advantages: Safety, 7 seater option, spacious
Disadvantages: Fuel consumption, insurance problems, basic inside, costs

...We have had this car for 3 months, previously owning a Citroen Picasso, and purchased it because we needed the extra seats with the 7-seater option. We have three small children (all under 7) and, so far, I am in love with it. Yes, it is very thirsty on fuel and the servicing costs are somewhat of a shock, but it is worth it. There is not much leg room when all the 7 seats are used but the third row are more than OK for the kids or a small adult. And when the thirds row of seats are folded up the boot space is still really big. I am a little bit dissappointed about the luxuriousness of the interior, especially the dashboard. I expected to have a better stereo with maybe controls on the steering wheel and it does look a little bit dated for its year of manufacture. But when you look under the bonnet and see the steel...

Disadvantages: you can't say you don't have room for people that want a lift.

...I can't tell you any technical jargon about this MPV, mainly because I can't drive. But I can tell you what I think from a passenger's point of view, Right well where do I start? Spacious: Now that's an understatement. There are 6 seats in the back, in two sets of three, one behind the other. The middle seat has a section that tilts forward so you can pass by to get into the back, unlike a lot of MPVs where you have to clamber over the other seats or climb in through the boot. You don't have to use it as an 8 seater, not only do all the rear seats lie down flat to form a bed, but the rear back seats split in half so that you can lift them up individually, sideways against the side of the car, giving you even more room in the boot. You don't have to lift both seats if you don't want to, because each section is stabilised so...

Toyota Picnic 6 Seater White..

Advantages: Mobility, Size, Economy,
Disadvantages: Toyota service costs, steamy windows in winter hindering visability to the sides.

...My Toyota Picnic is a white 6 seater, If I could have gotten my hands on the 7 seater Japanese import at the time of purchase I would have take it. The added extras at comparable cost would have been worth it. I have had many Toyotas in the past and always found them reliable..This one does not disappoint. My family do alot of 'car based' holidaying, and the Picnic travels well. I have found it very economical on fuel and easy to handle on the road. It is a 2litre and handles like a car with plenty of 'get up and go'. You have the advantage of the roominess of larger people movers without the disadvantage of oversize. The front seats have a gap between for easy access to the middle seating area. The rear two seats can fold flat or alternatively be easily 'clipped' in and out of place. Advantages: Roomy, Ecconomical, conversation piece
Disadvantages: Noisy at speed, Sways in wind, Bucking bronco over speed humps

Though whilst it does have 7 seats, you would be hard pressed to fit anyone in the centre of the rear seats. The rear seats fold under and upwards, creating a very large space in the rear, for a host of bagage, boxes etc. All the seats will fold flat, onto each other, making the whole van one big 'bed. We have removed the rear three seats, making the 'boot' space at the rear even more roomy, we have had double beds in it (folded), a commericial 42 tube sunbed, wheelbarrow, electric wheelchair (full size one), and a host of other bits and bobs, which would be immpossible to fit into a normal sized car, or even most of the so called people carriers, which, outside are...

Peugout 307 SW 2.0 diesel 110 bhp 7-seater MPV

Advantages: Great drive, flexibilty of 5-7 seats, economical to run and reliable.
Disadvantages: You don't get offered a 7-seater by insurance companies if your in for accident repairs.

...I have a 307SW hdi 7-seater 2.0 diesel in aluminum ... not silver ... aluminum .. why they can't say silver I don't know ... but what a dream she is to drive. When they say it's the drive of your life they mean it, the engine is so quiet you will not realise you have switched it on, not only that at just a £110 to tax for the year its a bargin. There is loads of room leg and width wise in the front, i'm not the smallest of builds but I can comfortably fit in the drivers side without covering the gear-stick! The passengers seat comes with arm rest and there is again plenty of room to relax and enjoy the drive. The back seat is yet again adequately spaced with the option of moving individual seats back or forwards to suit, child seats fit comfortably and there are seatbelt positioners to aid comfort. Slightly misleading as a spacious 7 seater

Advantages: 7 seats,pretty Spacefull with seats down.
Disadvantages: Lack of bootspace in 7 seat mode,Sluggish when full especially up hill.

...I had no choice about 2 years ago to trade in my escort 1.8 16v for a 7 seater due to having 4 children.At first this car seemed ok until i started to use it a bit .When you go shopping you can only get a small pram in the gap called the boot with all the seats up forcing you to have to put shopping on the spare seat or keep it flat as we occupy 6 in total.This seems easy enough until you realise you then need to push the middle seats forward to allow the rear to be placed flat on the floor.This means as well all child seats using the 3 point seatbelts must come out to do this then be replaced.This can be a lot of hassle if you need 7 seats at other times eg if a friend is with you and uses the 7th seat.It also uses fair bit of petrol and using them for small runs can be expensive,i get on average 60-70miles per £10 in the tank.I think...
