Seaton Tramway - Devon's Gain, Eastbourne's Loss

Advantages: Good half-day out
Disadvantages: Open-top trams require fine weather

The Seaton Tramway of which I write owes a lot to Eastbourne ? yes I know it?s 100 miles along the coast in a different county, but the point is this. Paignton Zoo the best attraction in Devon?

Advantages: An enjoyable day out with access for all. Regular bus service to Paignton.
Disadvantages: The zoo is built on a number of steep slopes

...My favourite attraction (so far) within an hour?s travel of Plymouth is Paignton Zoo, or should I say it would be if it weren?t for all the hills that it is built on! It is situated to the South of the Devon coastal town of Paignton directly off the A3022 on what is known as the Totnes Road and well signposted. Review of Paignton Zoo, Devon

Seaton and Devon in general - lurverly!

Advantages: Beautiful scenery lovely holiday area - lots to do
Disadvantages: That it's not on my doorstep!

...I seem to be starting my reviews in a similar vein of 'oh I love this place...' and well, why break a habit! Seaton I have a real soft spot for this area. My Aunt lived here before she died and have been there loads of times visiting her and then after her death visiting it some more! Every time we go to Devon or Cornwall we always pop in on Seaton. So what are the stunningly exciting things...
